Mehrunes Dagon was most prominently featured in the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion where he was the primary antagonist of the main quest, although he appears throughout the Elder Scrolls series. He's best known as the Daedric Prince of Destruction, however he has numerous other roles and interesting facts we'll explore.

Those hacks
None of the Daedra are evil, just like none of the Aedra are good. They are embodiments of ideas. The Daedra are just more chaotic and Aedra more orderly, thus making the first generally more baneful and the second more boonful. But neither can be judged by mortal standards because mortals are far different from either of these spirits.But yes, Dagon's sphere of influence is very destructive. So really only evil mortals would want to have any contact with him.

Jyggalag. The Daedric Prince of Order.
AntiSkillshot I did say they were more aligned to one side, not exclusive to it. Even with his obsession with perfect order he was still a being that brought change. The change being perfect order where all things are known and do what is expected, like machines. The Aedra are more the stasis of an established order. Just look how long it has taken Tamriel to develop any technology. They stay the same for thousands of years despite having brilliant minds and powerful magic. You would think, at the least, there would be more magical solutions in everyday life then there is. I think this is the influence of the Aedra. Any change, even a change backed by an icy order, is wrought by Daedra for the most part.

only exception: malacath, he was once a daedra, but boethia ate him and by sh!tting him boethia created malacath
I wonder what the next Elder Scrolls will be about. Return of the Dwemer? Another invasion by a Daedric lord? What do you guys think?
insanegames hope it's not a daedric invasion that's kind of played out by now if you're counting oblivion, ESO, and battlespire
insanegames dwemer resurrection would be great. I'd also like Elseweyr maybe. That air ship that was in the dragonborn extension would be cool to see implemented into other games but a functional model of it. I also tire of the same prisoner cliche. it's alright and it's familiar but aside from mods you never get to grow up in the game which I think would be a welcome change.
It would probably be the Second Great War.
I hope it's as far-fetched as some of the story in the TES games before Oblivion. I'd like to see some of the more crazy lore represented in a modern game.

In my opinion, I believe Mehrunes Dagon is one of the scariest and most dangerous Daedric Prince ever made. True, Jyggalag was considered to be the most powerful, but some believe that Jyggalag either disappeared mysteriously or became the Daedric prince of Madness: Sheogorath. Unlike all of the princes, Dagon actually came into the mortal realm of Nirn and nearly took it over in his full form. The other princes are mostly influenced and are only there spiritually if and when they are summoned.

Sithis I remember reading somewhere is one of the "planets" in Nirn. He would exist whether or not he was worshipped or not.
surprise hoe to say the elder scrolls lore is ridiculously convoluted is putting it mildly. I recommend checking out Zhakaron's channel...he's nowhere near perfect, admits as much himself..but he does put a lot of the lore in perspective and explain a lot of things. He's also a fan of Fudgemuppet and Camelworks..so it's a win/win. His character builds are pretty interesting as well.
Small bit of trivia about the last fact; if you hit the page in the museum with destruction magic (or it might be if you attack it at all, I'm not sure), it transforms into a bucket.

Throughout many races many of the gods are one in the same. Ex. Auri-El=Akatosh

Fred the Fish dagon had to remove all oblivion gates from black Marsh because the hist trees gave the argonians information about the oblivion crisis before the empire knew thus all happening before argonian invasion they crippled dagons forces in black Marsh then crippled the dunmer

The Daedric Crescent Blade is reached through an teleportation amulet, and that amulet is in Divayth Fyr's tower, however he never mentions the fact or "bestows" said amulet. The only way to find it is by rummaging around his house like a klepto.

Anyone ever wonder how the Dragonborn and other heroes can keep so many daedric artifacts? They are supposed to disappear when the user becomes unworthy, but so many of the daedric princes are in conflict with each other that you would think being worthy to one would forfeit your worthiness for another. Has there ever been an explanation for this?

at 4:45 I think you stumbled upon the central plot of the 6th game. What you said about a god's/daedra's power being affected by worshipers got me thinking. The conclusion I came to is that the PC in the 6th game will be revealed to be an avatar of Talos with the purpose of restoring his place. Weakened by the suppression of his worship to the point where he has to take mortal form to rebuild his base of power. I am not in the most clear state of mind as I type this, but what do you think?

I really hope ESVI is similar to oblivion in story, but along with all of tamriel collapsing because the empire is basically nothing by the end of skyrim. Also the emperor is dead. So dragonfire stuffs.

@FudgeMuppet I got a question for you now. So during Oblivion since Dragon Fires werent lit and daedra could stay in Cyrodiil forever, doesnt that mean, that any creature we have summoned or any other mage would be able to stay forever?

Really, the Daedric Princes didn't choose to be the way they are, they are after all pretty much bound to personify a set of concepts(their "Spheres") that they rarely ever deviate from in any significant capacity.

(in whatever way has the most immediate and dramatic effect, i.e. massive destruction and/or the overthrowing of a whole Empire)
Domination: for Molag Bal
(of everything imaginable, but mostly mortals! >:3),
Knowledge: for Hermaeus Mora (any information he is lacks at any given time is like catnip for him)
Secrets (not even Nocturnal's worshipers can be totally sure they're doing it right), deception etc.

The only (possibly) exception I think might be Sheogorath, just try to pin him to anything other than insanity and chaos.
He might suddenly become predictable for a while and make perfect sense, but that would only be because he's just *that* random.

If you can appeal to their interests in some way you might, after all, receive their boon (although, not always the way you'd expect).
The Ring of Hircine, the Ogma Infinium, The Ebony Blade, The Mace of Molag Bal etc.

Mehrunes Dagon seems a much more openly hostile but honest sort of Daedra. In a way, he is not nearly as creepy or nasty as Molag Bal. Still, I wouldn't want him dropping in for tea.
