I love creative tools that have no backstory and just can do anything ,it gives the author true creative tool for anything that they want to write while not having to explain how , it simply just IS.

I understand that you have been having issues with youtube and copyright strikes against your channel, and have thus far found it difficult to continue with comics explained. I hope you know that you've been a very positive part of my experience with comics. Before this channel, I hadn't even considered reading them, and now have several monthly subscriptions on comixology. I find that, I share a few of your previous sentiments of -hating my job-, and while I don't think that I have what it takes to weather the youtube storm as you have for a number of months/years, I feel indebted to you for granting me access to an escape that I didn't have before. Through you, I've discovered a love for comics, and I hope that soon I'll also have the courage to put myself out there and make something of myself as you have. I just want to say thank you. For all that you do.

I'm continually impressed with the breadth and depth of your research pulling facts and history to the forefront in your videos. Very VERY well done on this one. While I had no idea the Cosmic Cube went back that far, it is great to see all the permeations across the onmiverse of Marvel and its correlation to the MCU.
By introducing the Cosmic Cube in the MCU, and hinting that it is the Space game, that may cause more issueds defining its equivalence to an Infinity stone. If that were the case, and there are multiple cubes, it could be explained with multiversal cubes on Earth, but knowing Infinity Stones from other universes don't work the same in ours... feels like a headache instead LOL.
My biggest question now is why Thanos, who went Infinite on multiple levels and then retired has supposedly come out of the area beyond all existence to start up the same old habits? Having power seems to be his big to-do. In the Infinity storyline he seeks out the Time Gem (with Captain America correct?) while searching for his son and sending the Black Order to get tribute. Spread so many ways then, and seeing him go up against Doctor Doom in the Battle World saga, I'm a bit muddled on his new motivations. He has to have had a realization about Mistress Death's influence...
Guess that also plays into your video on how Marvel's reboot (all new all different) isn't as original as it could be and is relying on past stories with a new coat of paint.
    Love what you do!!!
    Magnuson

in marvel comics its explained that the limitation on cubes is they do not gave power over the soul. the gauntlet superior in that it does. power of IG = to entire cosmic pantheon but below that of the Living Tribunal. you become most powerful in your universe but that 1 alone.

Although its not 'official' Marvel, here is one of the things I liked about the animated series "Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes".
They did an episode where Hydra, A.I.M., and the Avengers were fighting over the Cube, which was rumored to have the ability to grant any wish to whoever touched it (it hadn't been tested yet because it wasn't fully 'powered up').
In the end, Captain America and Baron Zemo were in a race to get to it first, and Cap managed to grab it before Zemo.
As I recall, one of the Avengers asked him if he 'wished' for anything, to which he said "No". However, the episode ended with the 'camera' focusing on the body of young Bucky beneath the freezing waters, and his eyes suddenly opening!
In other words, Bucky was really DEAD in the animated series (not a faked death), and Captain America subconsciously wanted to change the greatest regret he had in his life, thus 'wishing' Bucky back to life (of course this didn't mean Buck would live happily ever after, as he still became Winter Soldier).

    • @billychambers6400
      @billychambers6400 8 ปีที่แล้ว

Not gonna lie, but that would be a better story. I like the idea that Cap would never lie, except he did for his friend Bucky. Shows his loyalty.

Wasn't there some sort of connection between the creation of the Cosmic Cube and the creation of MODOK? I seem to remember reading in one of the old Super-Villain Team-Up issues (now, where did I put that issues?), the Hate-Monger/Hitler Clone (?) and Red Skull were making that second cube, but they were burning out a bunch of people's minds, because they did not want to make another MODOK, or something like that. It was an awful long time ago. :)

There are certain items in the Marvel comics that NO ONE should be getting a hold . Too fuckin dangerous ..In no particular order
    1) The Cosmic Cube (whatever version)
    2) The Ultimate Nullifier (the what if story with Korvac was depressing af)
    3) The Darkhold
4)The Infinity Guantlet with all the stones
I think the Illuminati group was setup just for these type things to stay out of certain hands.

same here, plus they can be used in any universe, not just their own, and i think when you use more than one the power growth for the infinity stones is exponential, and the cubes is additive.

I know you get variations of this question a lot, I was wonder if you have an opinion on where to start if someone was interested in getting back into the Marvel comic universe, specifically the cosmic side. I seem to be much more interested in the grand scale of the cosmic universe and its characters than Earth based teams and their conflicts. I know there will be some crossover, but I know I'd be more open to Earth - centric stories if they eventually branch off into deeper themes with quite literally larger than life characters.

The tesseract looks like the cosmic cube but it's just a container.
The cosmic cube is an object by its own

The tesseract will be crushed into the space Stone and I was like why call it the space Stone why not the rift stone and I found out it was used to travel to other planets

wait so what is the tesseract in the mcu? Its the space gem, but is it contained in a cosmic cube? Or is the cube shape just the shape the stone has taken? Is there a tesseract in the comics? And if so, whats different between it and the cosmic cube?

I think the cosmic cube is more powerful than the infinity gauntlet just hear me out okay let's see pre retcon beyonder had about half of more of the power of a incomplete cosmic cube and the full cosmic cubes such as kubic and shaper were showed in secret wars 2 to be more powerful than beyonder and beyonder was showed to be millions times more powerful than the entire multiverse combined and also later on after secret wars 2 molecule man defeated beyonder and kubic said that he might be more powerful than him. so what do you guys think show your thoughts please.:-)

Frankly I dislike these plot coupons. I never take 'the end of the world' as a serious threat, whereas threatening atrocities large and small are things that can really happen. Rom: Space Knight had an atrocity like that pass. Seeing the world change or threaten to change is more interesting. Look at all the ways World War II could have gone, that is some really scary stuff. I take Days of Future Past style stories over plot coupons any day.
