Indian Railways Chain Pulling : Triple Honking Rule - Dibrugarh Express

This is what happens when a train departs and someone pulls the chain. The triple quota honking system to alert the gaurd and the RPF. Then the time taken to reset the brakes, and finally leaving for Dibrugarh.

To all Indian railway fans. Curious, does railway provide ear protection earplugs to Locomotive operators/ pilots? Listening to that horn all day must take its toll on their hearing. Anyone know?

Nope they are not provided with any sort of equipment to protect their ears. The cabins are not insulated and air conditionied. That's the sorry state of Loco Engineers of Indian Railways

Hi bro it's not from other loco
It's from the same loco of CAB-II bcz from CAB-I it's not audible properly to back side, hence , CAB-II horn is honked 😊

If someone chain pulls,after the guard resets it l the train goes to a station and does triple honking so that RPF and DRM know that the train is chain pulled

Actually the assistant driver ( ALP ) is supposed to get down and assist the guard in locating the coach where the chain was pulled..but the crew in the loco stay put..have the rules changed ???
