- Trains Announcements in Bikaner Railway Station
Almost every Indian Railway passenger must have wondered who gave the voice for the Railway announcements. The voice through out India will be same and was lent by Sarla Chaudhary,
an announcer from Central Railway.
In the year 1982, she was appointed as an announcer in Central Railway, as a contract employee. Later, in 1986 she became the permanent employee of Indian Railways. She used to work as an announcer for the local trains.
In 1991, the Indian Railways came up with an idea of automating and streamlining the announcement through out its network. Due to her experience and sweet voice, she was selected to record the announcements. She recorded various announcements at All India Radio(AIR) and were later mixed with computer to generate the required announcement.

लगभग हर भारतीय रेल यात्री ने सोचा होगा
कि रेलवे की उद्घोषणाओं के लिए आवाज किसने दी थी,
पूरे भारत में एक ही आवाज थी , वह सरला चौधरी ने दी थी,
वह मध्य रेलवे के एक उद्घोषक थी,
वर्ष 1982 में, उन्हें एक अनुबंध कर्मचारी के रूप में मध्य रेलवे में उद्घोषक के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था।
बाद में, 1986 में वह भारतीय रेलवे की स्थायी कर्मचारी बनीं।
वह लोकल ट्रेनों के उद्घोषक के रूप में काम करती थीं।
1991 में, भारतीय रेलवे अपने नेटवर्क के माध्यम से उद्घोषणा को स्वचालित और सुव्यवस्थित करने का विचार लेकर आया।

This video was shoot yesterday 4th February Friday when all three train has to depart at almost same time at three different directions. So I plan to make it compilation at least on melodious announcement with 22982 Train.
