    If you are comparing our information with the Husqvarna.com/460 product page I understand what you are saying. Husqvarna has a typo on their web page. If you are on their page under the 460 product be sure to click on "part numbers and pricing" it shows you it is 24in bar and chain capable. Often times there are many misprints on web pages and brochures. If you have any other questions let us know. 24in is the max spec for this saw.

      dont buy it, i did and it blow up after 3 hours, the race in the crank bearings is plastic and they broke, took out the seal and ran rich and smoked it, and the warranty just ran out 2 weeks before and they wouldn't do a thing for me, never in my life have i seen plastic races,, in bearings, i looked in to buying all the parts to rebuild it, and just the parts alone were over $400 cnd, was not worth rebuilding being the saw retailed for $399 cnd. even the after market parts that would be only 455 parts were $370 but that be taking it down from a 460 to a 455

    I noticed a huge difference with the 24" bar vs the 20" bar. The cut is a lot slower. I know people buy it for the 24" bar but it lacks the torque when cutting and requires a little more patience. I love my 460 and the 24" helps with larger logs. I have the 450 and the torque difference is very noticeable. I am not saying the 460 is bad just have to know the limitations of the machine you are using.

      What about running at 18" bar on the 460? Any experience?

    the 24" bar is a bit beyond my new 460 on a 14" log, will have to drop to 20". running hot on max bar is sacrificing life for length

      I was thinking about putting an 18" on my 460, have you had any experience with that set up?

    What is the decompression button supposed to do? I press this and it doesn't depress?

    • @GregJoshuaW
      @GregJoshuaW 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It pops out after the engine compresses apparently. So, I guess it's only used to press in if having trouble starting?

    wish you had dont a tear down as all my life i have had this brand of saw and no other, and cut thousands of cords of wood truble free, in fact i have a 25 year old saw still running strong after over 150 cord of wood and truck loads of fire wood, but in 2013 i bought this saw and it sat in the box for 3 years never put gas in it, the date of mfg says 2010, not even 2 years ago i took it out and ran there pre mix gas for brake in, well 2 hour into use, not in one day, just cutting some brush on my fence line in short spirits as you have to move the brush, each day may have used it for 10 to 20 min, then one day i was cutting up some birch saw mill slabs for fire wood and 20 min, into it the saw stopped dead, never to start again, this saw has tops 2 to 3 hours on it, using there pre mix gas;; compression feels dead, i took it to the dealer, they would not warranty it, as it was past the time, i had to pay them $160 cnd to have a look at it,, i dont think they did any more then i did, a compression check, told me it is not worth rebuilding it as it is a throw away saw, what never heard in all the years of them making throw away saws, was always able to fix my self ot take to the shop and 100 bucks later back in the woods, i asked them what was wrong, all they would say is no compression, well i knew that before o brought it to you, what blow on it, they said we dont know we didnt get into it, so i paid them $160 to tell me what i already knew,, way to go, so i ask you how do i get the jug off as it do not have the 4 head.jug bolts like any other one i have had, i am sure i can rebuild it cheap if i can get parts and find out how it comes a part,, i have a 2 part video on here on this

    Will the 460 top end line up to the 455?

    • @arnoldromppai5395
      @arnoldromppai5395 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes it will both ways, but the parts to do it cost as much as a new saw
