I have flax meal and hemp seeds in my freezer along with white chia seeds and I need to get pumpkin seeds this week. I have a wonderful fig Jam that I make in the refrigerator and I just got 10 lb of pitted dates for Christmas. I forgot the barley and the quinoa and the Millet and brown rice plain ramen noodles the quinoa pasta the whole wheat pasta. I don't think I need to go on! Hahaha! :-)
+The Happy Pear No I know but how amazing would it be to have that sort of thing in the house. Imagine the possibilities!? Is it sad to get excited about lentils and nut butters? 😂
As I live in the countryside, I havent found wholemeal couscous yet. Its on my list for the next visit in the big city. Thank you guys and , as always, love from germany! :))
Can you open a shop like yours here in Miami? And clone yourself guys and do what are you doing there in here! I miss real food!!! You guys rock big time! Cheers
Couscous whole wheat or not is super fast; one of my weaknesses is pasta; just for people like me, get ancient grain pasta non gluten angel hair if you're starving; I personally have a problem with wheat, not hung up on gluten free -rye, barley; know your body. If you can, BUY AN INSTANT POT! It's max $200 and you can soak your dried beans and ignore them and it pays for itself in 4, 5 months. I was on my uppers when I went vegan still small budget; $700 for a blender????? Not going to happen. $10 coffee grinders for spices, good idea, immersion blenders; easy peasy. I know this video is about pantry items but utensils count too, so I rush in as usual where angels take the day off and have fun between the pages of Good Omens. Great advice. One last thing; I hate cocoanut milk. You can leave it out if you're me and we all got confused. Small amounts of olive oil plus yes dates for sweetness -- dried fruit a godsend. Depends on your taste buds. Buy frozen peas and spinach, and no harm freezing kale etc. once washed, you will be really glad you did. Tamari is actually a probiotic; not quite same as soy sauce; umami totally; high salt test before adding anything else salty and never boil miso if you're into that.
+ailish086 I personally like quinoa better because I feel its more versatile. Burrito fillings, salads, rice alternative, etc. My favorite use so far is quinoa porridge with almond milk and fruit
Thanks for the post and love your channel. I don't have most of these currently in my cupboard, but will add as they do sound like they could work in a variety of dishes that don't normally make, but would be a refreshing change.
+Kathryn LS There's something really satisfying about having the cupboard stored with things that can make so many delicious things. Like a safety net. :D
Thank again for sharing. I am a former vegan that went wayward and love having so many new and interesting flavors to dishes. Love the posts and appreciate that you all continue to share with us.

I feel like you guys use tahini in almost everything. Would love a list of uses for tahini. Or maybe chocolate chip cookies. :)
+myklebrown We do use it a lot. We'll try work on something like that soon. :D
+Hannah P I don't think they eat meat, the shop is in Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
why did you cross out all that harmless part of my comment? Never happened before
I’m addicted to riced cauliflower to use in place of rice. Lots of fiber way less cals.
Do you eat any meat or are you vegetarians? :) where is your store located?
I knew Tamari was going to be there, a classic in your recipes :)
But you forgot coriander!
+Missdaisyyyy Coriander wouldn't last long in the store cupboard unless you could use the dry stuff though I guess. :D
How would you rate Couscous, Quinoa and Bulgur wheat against each other?
+ailish086 I personally like quinoa better because I feel its more versatile. Burrito fillings, salads, rice alternative, etc. My favorite use so far is quinoa porridge with almond milk and fruit
Quinoa has a all essential amino acids :)
Couscous and bulgur are both grains like wheat.
Thanks for the great tips! Quick question: what do you use to mill seeds?
yep
I also live alone.
What the hecky dizzle is tahini?
Sesame seed paste 😄👍
Yeeaah! Dutch nutbutter!
+Inge van den Broek It's all we really stock. :D
The food cupboard looks amazing!! I have all of those except tamari! :)
+sehr saira Nice one! IS there any other essentials you can't live without?
Great to see your shop considering I live on the other side of the world!!
Great suggestions too. I have most of these items in my cupboard too. 😀
+andreamoboe We'll do a more in dept tour soon. :D
