I'm Irish and I'm 11 and I remember that the happy pear would come into our school and do a food guessing game and smoothie making it was really fun and we did it right before our sponsored walk. I love the humans you guys sell and I also love the pesto that you guys sell and it is the only pesto that my brother will eat
This is so useful, I've been vegan for almost 7 months and I've found myself going back into eating more junk food like Oreos bagels etc, this will be so useful for my next shop!
Flaxseed, chia seed, ground them ready, or soak. Accidentally made Tahini with Sunflower seed because read recipe wrong when first made it. Love it in hummus! Dried Split peas, Quinoa, Buckwheat, Dried green lentils etc lentils, Dried Chickpeas, and so much more ....
literally almost every recipe consist of tomato paste, maple syrup, tamari and garlic and onion. I watch you guys a lot! I love to use white pepper sometimes, gives it a good tang coconut nectar as my sweetener! You guys should try it its soo good corn for multiple dishes kale and carrot. :)
Butter Beans (probably my absolute favorite bean) are Butter beans in the US also. Navy beans are much smaller and a definitely different kind of bean.
I always have dill, garlic powder, sweet chilli sauce, millet (ground), apple cider vinegar and Thai green curry paste on stock. Can't live without them 😊. I love to make a Lima or white bean paste with lemon juice, aubergine, onions, garlic, tamari, dill, chilli flakes, pepper, olive oil and apple cider vinegar! Tastes delicious and the kids love it.
Jess Beautician is moving to Dublin!! I so hope you will collab with her on something! I didn't even ask her if she wanted to, who wouldn't? I love your channel!!
I love all of your videos. I'll go to Ireland in October because I love you guys and I wanna see where you live and I wanna get good quality food with cheap price! I'm Japanese and vegan. There is not a lot of people who are vegan here so that I basically cannot go out to eat anything (if you have ever been here you can probably tell). My priority is being healthy and treating myself well. Seeing you guys being happy makes me happy. Thank you very much for being awesome and inspiring!! I really hope to see you guys in person in Ireland!!!!!!!
Hi guys! This is very helpful. I'm already a chef but the flavor combinations and pantry items for a new vegan (like myself & husband--going on our second year) is awesome!!! Thanks for your channel, it really brightens my day! :))) (I've already learned a lot)
Thank you trying to start being Vegan and getting everything set up, Another sight saye'd to look at what your eating now and tweak it. That way it's easer to switch you won't feel like your missing out on a lot of your fav foods. I really like a lot of the foods you guys make and all the info too
Just like my own pantry, I LOVE it! We call them 'Butter Beans' here in America too, but they are usually slightly larger & more 'buttery' when cooked, kind of like a lima bean but more so, very Southern.
Love this vid ! Thank you for making it, I do keep cumin, parsley and cracked wheat. lemons, olive oil, canned beans and fresh corn tortillas. I make our own tortilla chips, As a America of Sryian decent, our family always preferred light Tahini . You can also make it with lemon and it can seize up on you always use water to thin and put it on grilled Mediterranean veggies. or vegan stuffed grape leaves. olives,
Guys, here's a big one. Could you please do a video on after cooking clean-up and washing. How to do it most efficiently and as fast as possible. What needs dish soap and what can be washed without it, conserving water etc.The real secrets of the kitchen! :D
Hi. Great video!! I always have oats, canned beans, tomatoes, store bought oil free eggplant hummus, potatoes, garlic, onions, and the same spices you have. Some date syrup and maple syrup. Date syrup goes amazing with coconut vanilla ice cream. It tastes like chocolate syrup but better.
I love your list!!! Consider adding these to your list (canned vegetables) examples beans, asparagus, artichokes, fire roasted red peppers, pimentos, or capers???? these items help me out a lot with quick meals and add a layer of richness so I feel satisfied.
Hey, I'm a new vegan of about 2 months and I love your channel. I'm also interested in learning how to cook. Do you have any videos on must-know recipes (like tomato sauce) and skills (like knife skills)? Thanks :)
Great video! That accent is awesome. I almost spit out my coffee a couple of time with the hard Irish accent coming out. You two are great for the TH-cam community, and I am looking forward to purchasing your third cookbook.
I've been buying a 'bean' pate from holland and Barrett which I am addicted to but it can get pretty expensive as you don't get a lot. Could you pleeeaaassee do a video on recipes for vegan pâtés? As I really loved the one you did for hummus 😊
Brilliant videos thankyou Needed to say...I see only team encouragement also fab knowledge. No interrupting, golly why for do folks feel a need to dissect. I'm proud to have a well stocked kitchen, which means at any time I can whip up a tasty nutritional sound meal.. In minutes I thank you...namaste
Not sure if you guys have come across Lancashire sauce before, but I REALLY recommend you get your hands on some. It's a vegan alternative to Worcestershire sauce, and it has a really nice, rich umami flavour. I'd be willing to bet you'd prefer it even to tamari!
Great video for starting from just scratch or moving in. It's also nice to have some mixed herbs and bay leaves. Spot on with mention cumin first, it's so nice especially when really hungry and the curry powder has run out lol easy know I only have a few recipes learned off. Hunger is a great sauce. Oh yes I like mango chutney in my curry and have used apricot jam instead as an alternative that works very well. Carrots a good cheap alternative to sweet potatoes or butternut squash in a recipe. Now that you done store cupboard essentials. What would ye think would be good to have from starting out with regards pots, pans, wooden spoons. I have to say I did manage without my garlic crusher but having one again was great. I suppose a can opener with be one that one would want.
Love your videos boys. I use banana milk on my porridge, I jus blend a good sized banana with the water that I am using. I don't like commercial milks as i don't trust them entirely.
A few Quorn products are Vegan (& are labelled as such) but most contain a little egg white as a binder. I talked to someone who used to work for the company in Billingham and he told me that they are interested in finding alternatives.
cilantro is the leaf coriander is the seed. I also keep large flake toasted coconut, black beans (makes the best hummus, black bean soup and colourful protein addition to salads) I don't do soy so as a replacement for tamari I use coconut aminos (sweeter than soy sauce) Chia seeds for you name it...sesame oil (nommm). I also use tarragon a lot.
I wish my nutritional yeast would last for years in my cupboard! it normally makes it to a week! 😂 great video by the way! It feels like you went through my kitchen! 😃
Great list! Add in some spuds (or potatoes as we call them here in America :) ) and this list would be all the staples I keep on hand! I could live on oatmeal and potatoes lol.
Did you watch Donal Skehan's 5 minute steak video? He was definitely inspired by you! Two of my favourite Irish TH-cam chefs following similar themes, what more can I ask for! Actually I'd like to ask if you can post more about your cafes hehe. What's it like? Show us around the place! Or "a day at the cafe" type video.
Just met you guys on Russell Brand's channel...wow, your recipes look amazing and I'm still a meat eater but wanting to change my diet - you guys have really convinced me and my three year old son to try vegan!! Thank you from Canada eh! :)
Watching your videos, made me realize, that Danish and Irish food culture is similar. Though the dishes and ingredients comes from all over the world. Wondering if you also use nettles for soups or even in your hummus?
No one is being rude . Don't change guys . Where can I get Smoked Paprika ? I tried Tesco , Lidl , Aldi and your Clondalkin shop. Love love love your Buddha Bowl by the way.
