That 1946 OHC 350 was way ahead of its time for a road machine. That one I would love to ride just once. Headlamp nacelle, rear suspension certainly was copied in the UK later. The motor bears strong resemblance to Italian Gilera and MV Augusta machines of the early 1950 era. Pity it did not get into production. I did ride a 500 cc DOHC twin with similar cycle parts, quite an experience even though I treated it very gently. About 1956 vintage perhaps.
Very good video, early prototypes were well ahead of their time. Too bad the war and consequences disturbed their creativity! A friend had a Jawa-350 and it was very reliable.
Was very interesting to see the 1939 250cc, it’s chassis is very similar to the Indian Motorcycles chassis of the time using a plunger style frame with a girder fork, difference being the frame on the Jaws using triangular/box sections rather than the tubular ( & heavier ) pieces Indian used. The bikes Indian made were heavier though at 2-4 times the displacement. European designed bikes always managed to keep their designs between 70cc to 250cc whereas in the USA displacement grew and grew till 750cc was considered a starter bike. Oddly it’s still true today even with being able to find bikes from 250-300cc that can do 100mph. Thank you for creating such an interesting video featuring the actual Prototypes that the majority of viewers have only read about or seen 1 poor quality picture of. Am very glad to have subscribed to your channel, keep up the great work and may you have many years of safe and fun riding Bro 👍🏻!!!……🏍
P.S. extremely surprised that in 1984 Jawa tried a 500cc BMW style boxer motored bike, I’d have loved to see how the world of motorcycling would have changed if that bike had gone into production as every other company to have tried it discontinued that model after 5 yrs or less it seems even though the motor is noted for its reliability, long life, being great as a computer or tourist bike and it’s ability to stay much cooler than other air cooled twins.

Very wooden looking eccept the old ones aahhshah the old ones had beauty style - a reason to be - some late stuff is interesting, but the old
