      Over time, I plan to leave the UK and settle in the middle east where Psychiatristry (my future career) is planned to pay well in the next few years. I think that my life is going to get better and I will be paid well.

    Here are five great reasons to study psychology:
    1_Understand human behavior: Gain insights into why people think, feel, and act the way they do.
    2_Develop critical thinking: Enhance your ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
    3_Improve communication skills: Learn effective ways to interact and connect with others.
    4_Help others: Make a positive impact through counseling and support.
    5_Diverse career opportunities: Open doors to various fields like healthcare, education, and business.

      Honestly I did the same as well. But remember, once you understand behaviors and thought processes of a human being. Understand that you may have a very slim chance of using those techniques or tools that you've learnt in psychology in your family. Because, your family, parents, brothers, sisters, etc. won't see you as an authoritative figure. It is sad because I can see the generational trauma in my family and their behaviors are toxic in a way. But they never listen to what I have to say. All I can do is help others, provided they want to help themselves :)

When you look into yourself you start to become enough self aware to realize that you have flaws, yet also not let that falter your spirit and be able to keep going.

    Psychology is more than just a subject to learn. It's a mirror that talks to you and gives you insight about yourself. Then, you can use that mirror to shine it unto others. Some might not want to see it and there are others who do. Psychology in my high school helped me to become a more understanding and caring person than what I was before. I've graduated but I will never forget the lessons I got along the way. I hope I can help someone along the way with this message.

      Your English good!

    • @TakahiroShinsaku
      @TakahiroShinsaku 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Absolutely!
      Psychology shouldn't merely be confined to academic pursuit or professional practice-it ought to be integrated into our educational curriculum as a mandatory subject. Imagine if everyone possessed a foundational understanding of psychological principles; we'd become astutely aware of the pervasive influence of psychology in our daily interactions and decisions. This awareness would serve as armor against the cunning tactics employed by certain entities within the gaming industry, notably in free-to-play, mobile, and Games as a Service models.
      Consider games like Diablo Immortal, Diablo 4, many titles under the EA Sports umbrella, and yes, even Fortnite. Their persuasive prowess over their respective player bases warrants examination. Deciphering these strategies involves comprehending the intricacies of the ego-its importance, vulnerabilities, and the necessity of maintaining a vigilant awareness thereof. As a holistic psychologist at heart, I advocate for leveraging this knowledge as a protective measure against exploitative practices.
      Fear not, your English is commendable. However, when searching for the perfect words to convey your thoughts, consider seeking assistance from tools like DeepL or artificial intelligence. These innovative resources offer invaluable support, particularly for those who don't speak English as their mother tongue. They have been instrumental in refining my own expressions, ensuring clarity and precision. Embrace these technological aids to elevate your linguistic journey further.🤗
      *_For example for that👆 i used huggingface chat to create my thoughts into words._*

      That's not psychology. Psychology is learning how not to overthink how others are thinking about different things. Overthinking is not healthy and is usually caused by anxiety and self-doubt.

    • @TrueXhomerS
      @TrueXhomerS 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@dzzzzzt Depends on your view on the purpose of psychological theory. If you believe the purpose is to follow one theory which explains everything about one specific thing then yea I agree but most people will likely hold a holistic view of intertwining multiple theories to create a web of connections and possibilities which often leads to venturing down different avenues in order to explain thought processes, emotions, etc for each individual for different situations. If you truly think you can 100% know exactly how people think then you're not a psychologist, you're a psychic. Any psychologist worth their grain would most certainly want to consider multiple possibilities and avenues before claiming any certainties about a person's thought processes. Take someone's attitude towards football, you could use a multitude of theories to explain why a person holds a particular view on football all stemming from different causes and interactions and most of them won't be accurate because they're not relevant. So yes, I would say psychology does make a person likely to overthink about people thoughts because they realise that they know enough to know that they know nothing at all but are able to make a series of assumptions based on the information they have... and that doesn't mean they are correct

    • @dzzzzzt
      @dzzzzzt 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Overthinking is not healthy. It disconnects you from your body and your intuition. You stop seeing clearly. You can miss the answer you're looking for even if it goes through your mind because you're not paying proper attention to it. Overthinking also is breeding ground for further doubt, undermines self-confidence and generally makes you feel worse. If you look closely into why you're doing it, you may notice that it sometimes is employed as a defense mechanism to avoid feeling your emotions/feelings/sensations, seeing truth, avoiding a situation, anxiety, etc. No healthy approach requires overthinking. Brainstorming is a different, controlled, conscious process of discovery. Overthinking is the opposite - disorganized and unconsciously motivated/fueled. This is my understanding mainly from personal experience. I struggled from overthinking for a large part of my life before I finally got out from its toxic claws. I still do it sometimes, chiefly because of anxiety. Take care. ❤️

    Here is some of my research which approves psychology.
    Humans are incredibly fragile, allowing fears to manifest even from the most innocuous things, simply because they're trapped in their biases. Take darkness, for instance. Despite it posing no threat, 72% of people still fear it. This fear stems from human nature, which is prone to fearing the unknown and things they can't comprehend. However, it's important to recognize that darkness is not inherently something to be feared or hated. In fact, it's a vital aspect of nature's beauty, making up 90% of it. Wisdom lies in acknowledging and accepting darkness for what it is, thereby allowing us to embrace it and appreciate its role in the grand scheme of things.

    One thing I learned that I may influence myself with social media and I need to detach myself with it because it confuses me more. I’m still far away from the person I’m building and the most important thing is I’m happy with where I am now.

    I’m already choosing psychology for my major or minor (not sure which yet).So if anyone ask why I want to do psychology I’ll say : people are complicated and I wanna know why lol. That’s the short answer at least:P plus I’m really good with people and understanding their motivations behind their behavior. People always telling me I should become a therapist 😅

    I have autism, sometimes I struggle to think about other people. I think this is because my brain is trying to protect me but instead of protecting me, it ends up hurting me and others. But I also sometimes have too much empathy for others even when I want to not care.

    I'd like to study psychology to build better relationships and also be able to help and understand my future children in the best way possible. Would implementing going to a psychologist since a young age be a good idea? I feel like introducing small children to a new psychologist as a friend they can tell everything to when they don't trust others, even their parents, could really help in the long run if they begin developing mental illnesses.
