I just got mine a little over a month ago and I bought the Carvin pack. They're all decent, but I have found many amp captures regular people have put out that are now just fantastic! I run mine into the effects loop pf my valve amp and damn being pushed through a nice cabinet with a V30 and Creamback H. WOW! I'm impressed on how it sounds. It just takes a bit to set up patches for a live setup for all the songs I play. Which is about 300 songs and growing. I am really enjoying it though.
Cheers Leon. The Studio Rats do some good stuff. I have a couple of their amp packs. There really are some terrible captures on Tone central! Paul and James do it properly. They’ve just released a few more packs ithink. Worth checking their website. Appreciate your demo and great playing mate.
Sounds killer man! What is your setup live looking like? What sort of amp setup are you running the Tone X into to achieve the same tones as you hear online?
I’ve purchased some great packs from some great vendors. I wanted to try the Laurel Canyon and Worship Tutorials, so I sprang for it. Nice amp, but I won’t be purchasing again. 5 models for 17.00. Not even any “presets” with any thought behind them. Those guys are full of reverb.
Straight to the desk. And nowerdays I always monitor with in ears. Doesn't sound amazing with ears but you get enough to be able to play and you know the FOH sound is killer!
I can say that Amalgam Captures have been well worth the money. Great stuff.
Hey Leon love your playing and I value your opinion ! So thanks for taking the time to make this video for all the Tonex Players !!!!

Cheers Leon much appreciated and im glad you like the patches (apart from the 800) Give me a shout on the website and Ill bung some more patches over.
I love em! Still using them. And much appreciated. I will be in touch! :-)
And I do like the 800 lol!!
Very nice sounding bundle from the Rat Boys! Great demo 👍🏼
My favorite captures were all free. Worship tutorials are good, but my go to captures were all free on tone net. Just takes a little patience.

Thank you man!
Killer set. I really liked the Orbital bit at the end.
I only want 6 amp captures: late 50s high watt Fender tweed twin, mid 60s Vox AC30, Marshall JTM45 and Major, early 80s Dumble, and a Soldano SLO 100.

@@austinharris8260 the Tonex pedal. Have used GT1000, AX8 and HX stomp with it all direct to the desk. All sounds great.
Amp Gems Brown Face Deluxe and their Bassman Normal channel were well worth the money.

Great playing but the vast majority of the tones sound horribly over compressed to me.
Hi which pack is this? Any links?

Went to the live setup section / was hoping to find out if you're going straight to desk or into a power amp/on stage cabinet??

Yea Almagam captures are worth every penny in my experience.
To be fair, some are born with good ears, capabilities, and resources, and to buy captures is a much better option.
Are you adding any high or low cuts?
I usually High pass at around 95Hz. There is no low pass.
are those the fishman classic pickups?
@@ethagr8162 yea. They are ok.
I am not paying 50 dollars for a capture pack. With 6 packs costing I could buy Helix Native . just saying
