My family was there. My daughter a nurse at the Charles George VA in Asheville. My son, a proud Rutherford County boy, in reality a fully grown man, who made so many trips back and forth with supplies to Asheville, Swannanoa and senior community's...They let their hair down and forgot reality for just a little while...They make their mama and daddy so proud...God bless everyone affected in all states and God bless the United States...We were all United for just one night...
I just watched a video from out of North Carolina Hurricane victim worker who says everyone is asking where is the $24M because no one out there has received a dime of money from this concert. Maybe you need to ask them what they did with the money.
This song jerks a tear and evokes alot of emotions,WNC is home, and its hard to see my people hurting like this. I started that Friday eve cutting trees out to get access into my lil neighborhood. There was a elderly man needing to get to his wife at Mission Hospital she had some bad stuff going on ...5 hours later my buddy drove the elderly fellas truck out of our trail we cut out.....found out today that his wife passed away. Im forever thankful that we got him out to see her and spend what time he could with her. Cutting out this road was bigger than I'd ever thought it would have been after hearing of her passing, just glad we made it happen.

@@J_Chap it’s not going out to people. It’s going to the nonprofit organizations chosen by Combs and Church that are out there supporting the individuals affected. if you’re on here to troll just go away. People are not getting individual checks from this concert. Do the research yourself.
Last night, this song brought so much tears to my eyes because all I could think about was all those lives lost, and the survivors lives that have been changed forever by this devastating hurricane! I love the Carolinas with all my heart after living there for 5 years, so this really hit home for me last night!❤

I thought the same thing after hearing this song last night for the first time. I’m sure now that’s it’s getting a lot more attention more people will see the comparison.
@@ericafrostphd I’m sure he will catch all kinds of shit from the technical nerds but like George Harrison for My Sweet Lord his heart is obviously in the right place. He won’t make a dime off the song and it helped raise $24M for people in incredible need. God bless this kid.
I listen to both to see the rip off you were talking about and I think that maybe because it's being acoustically played it may sound similar to some ears but definitely two very different songs we are proud of Wesko and this song will be a part of Appalachia History it's a good old boy telling the stories of all the people of Western NC during catastrophic devastation like none seen that no one can even wrap their head around but yet it's the reality of My WNC people he is telling a story that some who can't because they are no longer with us the water took them. May God Protect this young man and this song from anything negative

It's too bad this is a blatant rip off of Jason Isbell's Speed Trap Town.
If that's all you got you failed !
