    🧡🧡. Love the tips as we know people make time for what they want to make time for. But yes reading is subjective read what you want and at the pace that you read. As long as you like what your doing then do it.

    Hey Friend; Happy Saturday. I feel like your love for reading is just my love for watching videos on TH-cam. I loved the reading tips and learning more about what works best for you as a busy working mom. I agree with you on two points. The first point being: you are always able to make time and prioritize the thing that you love that brings you happiness. The second point being that we are happy when we are able to make time for the thing that we love (for me it’s TH-cam/watching videos, for you it’s reading) regardless of the time limit we get to spend on it as long as we get to do it everyday. ❤🥰

      Hey friend! So true! I’m glad you agree. We all deserve to do more of what we love. I love that it’s TH-cam for you.🩷

    Thanks for the tips. I was guilty of spending too much time on TH-cam instead of reading. At least I knew what the problem was and now I have cut down on my screen time and I'm reading more. I do have Atomic Habits on my bookshelf and will read it.

      I love it when we pinpoint the issue and make neccessary changes. A few years ago, I realized Instagram was a big distraction for me. Consequently, I set a screen time limit for the app and I was able to see how quickly I would hit the limit. It was crazy! Now, I can go days without going on the app and I love that of me. Atomic Habits is so dang good! It really did change my life in more ways than one. I hope you get some useful knowledge nuggets.

    Love this video, great tips! I have upped my audiobook listening this year so far, usually a non fiction on audio and then a physical fiction book. I love the idea of reading then watching adaptations! It’s been a game changer for me, as long as I like the narrator! Happy Reading 📚

      @joycewesley  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Completely agree…it’s a must that I like the narrator or it can ruin the story for me lol

    Great video! I really appreciate you sharing these tips with us. I recently had my son and have gotten back into reading while on maternity leave. I’m now looking for ways to incorporate reading since returning to work. I wasn’t a fan of audiobooks at first, but after watching your video, I think I might try and switch the genre of the audiobook that I listen to. Typically I listen to non-fiction audiobooks, and I kind of zone out of them while driving but I think I’m going to try the fiction books on audio.

      Aw, I'm glad the tips were helpful! Audiobooks are golden for moms. Switching the genre might be a great idea. I really enjoy mystery thriller audiobooks. If it's a good narrator they really help to enhance the reading experience.

    1. The last few times I've been book shopping, I've forced myself not to look at Goodreads.
    3. I definitely listen to audibles...especially when I'm cleaning or working.
    4. E-readers are so convenient. I luv getting my weekly phone usage stats that my % is less than the previous weeks!
    7. Buddy reads are always fun!
    9. I guess habit stacking is what I'm doing when I work and listen. LOL
    Loved these sis!

    YAS YAS YAS!! I will DNF in a min…. However I try to at least get to 100 pages. 😩 Do you count your DNF’s as read books!? I didn’t use too but I think I’m going to start cause I mean….. 100 pages is read. 😂😂😂 Great tips and video!! 💕💕

    • @joycewesley
      @joycewesley  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends on how many pages are in the book. I aim to read at least 60-100 pages. I’ve even pushed myself well beyond 100 pages and I just couldn’t connect lol. 😫 I think it’s fair to mark it as read. 🤷🏽‍♀️Shoot you still “read” some of the book 😅

    • @NinaRenee24

    I just talked about not letting someone else’s reviews/recommendations pick for me! I’ve been disappointed one too many times lol. What someone else hates about a book I might love 🫰🏾
    I’m trying to get my husband to get into reading. I want us to buddy read so bad cause I be wanting to discuss these books with him lol.

    • @von20808
      @von20808 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My husband was the same but he changed. Your husband needs to find a book that is about something he's interested in. My husband likes politics and shows about lawyers and courtrooms. I read a book about a lawyer and thought he would like it and asked him to read the first chapter. He did it even he didn't want to. A long time passed and I knew he should have been finished so I checked on him. He was on chapter five and told me to leave him alone!!! I happily left him alone. The rest is history. This might work for you.

    • @joycewesley
      @joycewesley  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly- just because they didn't like it, doesn't me I won't. It's so hard to get the husbands on board lol. My husband's uncle sent him some books in the mail, and I was so happy. He doesn't read the same books as me, but I don't care what he reads as long as he's reading lol.

  • @renisha_th

    How do you make a playlist for the book you’re reading?

    • @joycewesley
      @joycewesley  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! The list is usually inside the book. I just add each song to a new playlist in Apple Music. Or, you can find the playlist already put together for you on Spotify. 😃

    Audible was so hard for me. Maybe the vibe of the book was boring or the person's voice. I can't tell. Maybe I will try again.
