I have a ArtsWay 325 and was told in was manufactured in the early sixties. My mixer still has all the safety shields for it but other than that it is the exact unit as yours is, only painted green, as they use to make them for I-H back in the day. I use my mixer every two weeks mixing cattle and chicken feed. It has been a good unit for me.
The manual I was given for it when I bought it was for an ArtsWay. Everything in the manual seems to match my machine. I did some research on the subject way back when I bought the mixer but didn't find a whole lot. The hammers don't appear to have ever been flipped ever. It's not rusted at all inside. Just some surface rust on the outside. It never sits outside. Always barn kept. I would like to find any missing shields for it and give it a paint job someday down the road. I like mine as well. To me it's a very simple but well-built machine. Knock on wood iv had no issues with it since I bought it three years ago. I only use mine only 5 or 6 times a year to grind cattle or hog feed. So it suits our farm perfectly for now. Thank you for watching our channel and the comment. How much does it cost u to make a batch ? How much lb's do u make ? I really only need to know how much the corn was & how much lb . I know what my cost of soy and mineral is . I make my own but I get corn screenings from my feed mill. I never bought ear corn yet . Great job Todd
So, in total it costs me rate around $300 per grinding. There ear corn is a set price per ton. That hasn't changed in 4 years I've been buying from my supplier. The soybean meal and mineral do fluctuate some. I'm averaging around 2500lbs per batch. The going rate at my local feed mill is over $500 per ton last I checked late last year. There mix is pretty much the same as mine with the only difference being they use shelled corn not ear corn. I'm familiar with Honeoye Lake. I'm about 45 minutes northeast of there. Pretty country down that way. Thanks for watching the channel.

It does grind both the cob and corn kernel up. One thing I failed to mention is flakes of hay (small square bales) can be fed in the grinder as well by feeding them directly into the intake of the grinder. Doing that adds more roughage to the cattle's diet. Thats not done so much with grinding cob corn though, as the cob itself adds roughage and fiber to the feed mix already. Love it. When I was young we had a gel grinder almost identical. Lucky I never lost an arm on it, but we filled it twice a day feeding hogs.

That feed grinder, does it just take the corn off the cob or does it grind the cob as well?
Cob gets ground up as well
