Hey, gonna make a pinned comment to clarify some stuff!
First of all, thanks for the comments Rhemery, DJ Sterf, Brayden, Argon, Kam, and others! I wish I could pin all of your messages!!! ♥
Second of all, YES, Rhemery is trans! It's not very heavily advertised and the transition seemed to happen after the UCN experience, but if you have a problem with that, you can leave!
Third, some mistakes I wanna clarify:
Apparently the UCN wiki I used is wrong and XOR has a 50% chance to spawn from every opportunity, not 1/3. Oopsie!
There are a few visual errors in the roster display at the beginning of the character section. Another oopsie!
Finally, some people seem to be taking issue with the fact that the video is Summoning Salt inspired. He's one of the main reasons my channel even exists, and realistically, all I did was use the same music and write a script with a storytelling focus. The editing style and narration are pretty much 100% original. So... I don't really get the problem, but whatever.

Ah, one of the most fun times of the FNaF franchise! Halfway through so far -- brings back really vivid/mostly good memories. Work got crazy during these days -- several issues in Production popped up, so I had some heavy work days and late-night deployment meetings through this time. Running series got hectic, and training became very hard to maintain, but the next two years, I won the 5K/10K series outright. Behind the scenes and after all that was going on in day-to-day life, Dawko and I were messaging on Twitter about strategies into very late hours (ok, and this was almost exclusively me helping him lol, still

All I can think about going into this is the TAS developed by Shooter25 that completes 50/20 with 98% power. A little knowledge can go a long, LONG way.

Rhemery is such a cryptid compared to the other two, all of their channel videos and lives have the SAME thumbnail which is also their pfp, they appeared out of nowhere, and completed 50/20 in silence. DJ Sterf coming out of the blue to cheer them up on stream was epic af.
You also forgot to add that Dawko had an extra layer of stress put on his shoulders due to the fact that he needed to win for the Scott interview to occur, his reaction to beating the challenge has double the weight when you put it into perspective.

Watching even just that snippet of Hopeless Pursuit at the end nearly fried my brain, so many inputs happening so fast and being so perfect, and that had to happen for SIX MINUTES STRAIGHT??? Kam is a fucking legend, holy shit. Major props to her.
Demons or Gods? Who did she contract to get this power? Maybe she's a Demigod? I still cannot comprehend how anyone can do this to begin with!
That video (or an explanation of HOpeless Pursuit) needs, like, a frame-by-frame breakdown of what is going on for all six minutes or something. Anything that would explain to the casual viewer what's going on, or even someone like me who has a general idea of what Kam's facing but no clue as to how hard that fan version buffed things.

if you want a changelog of how every single character is changed in HP, then here you go:
General: 60% starting power, timer is paused upon power-out (alongside the plethora of balancing changes already in UCN: Deluxe, mainly no stalling and 6 minute nights).
Freddy: More aggressive, and you need to look at him while he’s at his final stage on the camera in order to be able to close him off.
Bonnie/Foxy: Bonnie's static is permanent, Foxy will kill you if he progresses as much as 1 phase.
Chica: You can only hear her audio in the Kitchen Camera, but she takes longer to kill once she’s angry.
Toy Freddy: More aggressive.
Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Withered Bonnie: They all take longer to kill, and leave faster. Withered Bonnie is also now 100% consistent, taking 80 frames of the mask being on to leave.
Mangle, Withered Chica: More aggressive, but they will pause in front of the vent snare for longer.
BB/JJ: More aggressive, permanently stay in your office if you let them in.
The Puppet: Her music box winds down faster, and it winds up slower.

Incredibly thorough and great video! Although my original No Death Coin run is little more than a footnote compared to the amazing stories and accomplishments of so many other 50/20 players, I'm glad to have taken part in the journey in any way. The feeling of that initial hype period after the game's release, coming home from work day after day to grind out the challenge alongside all the other players, and finally getting to share that elusive victory was a beautiful, magical experience, and this video brought me right back to that feeling, so thank you!
Seeing how far the 50/20 scene has advanced in more recent years is mind-boggling too, and I can't imagine the patience and skill needed to pull off those green runs and other challenges. Hats off to all the gamers who went so far above and beyond to push the limits of what's possible!

Even TNAC RV will not be more difficult. I think it will be a ridiculously long time before something ever beats Hopeless Pursuit. It kind of broke the Max Mode List with it’s difficulty

Really cool video, it brings me back a lot of good memories. UCN was a big part of my life ever since I started greenrunning it, as it's how I got myself into this community and left my mark. Most of the achievements in the perfecting section are from my friends or people that I know, so I got to experience most of them from really close. So I gotta thank you for making this video and reminding me of those really good times that me and this community had optimizing this game to its limit, plus promoting it since it's a very small community :)

Heyo, just wanted to say thanks once again for highlighting the FNaF pro community. UCN and fnaf in general has been a huge part of my life for the past 4 or so years, meeting some of my closest friends ever through max modes, being there to optimize the games and develop strategy's, and then all that work finally paying off as you are sitting in a vc watching some crazy guy pull off an 80% 50/20 run, its a feeling you cant replace. There are a lot of incredible people who have done incredible things with fnaf, and its only gonna get crazier and crazier as the max mode list continues to grow. I hope this video inspires more people to get into max modes, its become a pretty big meme in the overall fnaf community that most fnaf fans have straight up never even played the games, which is quite sad to see as theres a lot of fun to be had by trying to see how far you can get, and i promise that you will be surprised at how far you can get, just as i was when i first began. And hey, if you end up struggling there are plenty of people within the pro community who are more than willing to lend a helping hand :D.

I was on dawko’s stream when he beat 50/20, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an online event that felt as alive and, for lack of a better term, “in person” than it. frankly, I don’t think I ever will. being in that chat felt just like being in a stadium somehow
It's one of the only times he hasn't censored out a swear word in his career, maybe I misheard things but he definitely said fuck, right? He almost never swears, so that definitely adds to this feeling.

I believe the reason there are so many FFPS characters is because UCN was originally planned for DLC of that game, and rather than scrapping the existing mechanics, he just chose to bring them into the full game.
As someone who’s been watching fnaf max mode videos for the past few months, this does put a smile on my face.
Excited to see the reaction difference at 30:41 between DJ Sterf and Dawko - DJ Sterf casually saying, "Yay, I can go eat dinner," while Dawko exudes sheer monkey-like happiness.
Also, Shooter25's TAS achieving a 50/20 completion with 98% power - a testament to how a bit of knowledge can truly make a significant impact. Can't wait for the contrasts and surprises in this journey!

Fantastic video as always dude! I love seeing the pioneers and victors of max modes being recognized more broadly, there's usually an insane amount of time and dedication that goes into this along with skill. There's a lot of great stories behind the journey to beat these modes and I'm glad so many people are interested in them nowadays. I started following high-level UCN around 2021 and the amount that it's evolved in just a few years is insane, from Shooter's first greenruns to 50/50 to Hopeless Pursuit. It was all a treat to watch and this is a cool way to relive it, will definitely finish watching it later.
This is kinda unrelated, but the amount of people throwing a fit over Rhemery's transition in this comment section is also hilarious. I know it's a small minority and YT comments are always a cesspit, but I can't imagine being so upset that someone different than you accomplished something impressive. People pushing the limits with skill and passion is what makes this community special, and superficially attacking them while doing nothing yourself just makes you a loser. Some of y'all seriously have no place here.
On a more positive note, I'd totally watch a video on some fangames and the history of the max mode community as a whole if you're ever interested in doing another one like this, I know it's a huge time investment though. Hope this one does as well as the last two!

sterf's levelheaded reaction is still so striking to me. very pastoral. dawko's reaction was so wild. i think i would fall somewhere near the middle which is just boring! one point of contention with the plot here: didn't dawko start out already done with 34/50? he got the game a few weeks early and that was clear from the steam trailer.
dawko also had a interview with scott lined up that he could only have if he actually beat UCN so thats why his reaction was so intense haha
it can still be considered a TAS, not TAG, since TAS can stand not just for Tool Assisted Speedrun, but also Tool Assisted Superplay. It's a less common variant of effectively the same thing, but is used as an alternate mainly for games where speed isn't really viable.
Its inspiring to see how far people have come with ucn, and its something I never expected so many people to do. Cheers to a new year!

What is great about this video is not only does it explain in depth the race to beat 50/20, but it also introduces a lot of people to the MML. I think what is even cooler is that it combines the more well known players with the Max Mode List players that grind the main games plus the most difficult challenges on the List
Excellent video, 50/20s history is such a fascinating topic and you certainly did it justice. It’s also super cool to see the MML get a shout out, the amount of effort Kam and many others have put into max modes is incredible, and seeing those efforts be recognized by larger and larger audiences is super cool. A few corrections:
Mr Hugs moves every 10 seconds.
Phantom Freddy's jumpscare causes any vent animatronic that is ready to attack to immediately kill you, and _only_ vent ones. Freddy etc wont attack you
Nedbear has a 50% chance to be fooled by the audio lure, so hes also a little different. (Orville has a 10% chance btw)
Rockstar Bonnie has a chance to appear every 13 seconds if the camera is up, just like Withered Bonnie.
Rockstar Chica can be camstalled, and will immediately leave if the wet floor sign is switched to the side she is on.
Jack O'Chica and Withered Chica are also complete rng as to whether they attack - Jack O Chica's spawning chances sre random and Withered Chica only has a chance of freeing herself from the vent opening and killing you

Correction: Rockstar and Withered Bonnie can show up on 13 second intervals, not 14 second intervals

The 50/20 race was the height of my FNAF watching passion, so it's quite pleasing to hear it discussed. It and DJ Sterf are actually what got me into technical FNAF breakdowns, so in the end it also ended up bringing me here.

Dee Dee is able to summon secret characters even in her normal mode. One time I was playing a night with everyone on 0, she spawned, and she spawned Bonnet.

15:04 I am assuming that the reason so many animatronics are from pizzeria simulator is because of how the game was originally going to be an add-on for that game. He likely already had all of their mechanics decided on in his mind, and even started working on them before it ended up becoming a standalone game.
And now it's time for someone to mod the game to actually take 6 hours real time to obtain victory.
random thing i wanted to point out because i'm a speedrun and game nerd: at 1:05:37, you said tas stands for "tool-assisted speedrun". most TASes are actually speedruns, and you were actually correct, but they are a sub-category of another larger type of TAS which stands for "tool-assisted-superplay", which not only includes speedruns, but high score runs, showing off glitches, and even fnaf greenruns. no hate btw video was entertaining af
This really was an exciting time in fnaf history. It was a "Be there or you'll never truly grasp how it felt" kind of thing. I wish we dtill had stuff like this but unfortunately I havent seen the hype, stress, and strategizing in the community since ucn for a long time. And Rehmery is a name I havent heard in a long time.

To this day, almost a year after I myself started doing this challenge, I still have 2 random pieces of tape on my monitor bezel. It always comes up whenever somebody sees it. It's just there so that I know where to place my bloody cursor to move the wet floor sign

there being a bunch of pizza sim characters makes so much more sense with the information that ucn used to be part of pizza sim. I never even thought of that possibility but it makes a lot of sense.
I’m pretty sure the reason there’s so many pizzeria simulator characters is because the game was originally designed as an expansion for it
15:07 as mentioned earlier in the video, this game was supposed to be Pizza Sims custom night, and that is why 18 animatronics are from the game the game was meant to be from 15:07

When I see the title of the video, the song, "Home - We're Finally Landing" immediately stated to play in my head. I was so proud of myself when I guessed it right as the intro.

Half of We're Finally Landing's royalties need to go straight to Summoning Salt. I believe that FNAF 1- UCN is its own contained story and everything after is a spinoff. The idea of William Afton's personal Hell becoming worse and worse for him makes me so happy. Nobody could ever despise him as much as Cassidy but I'm right up there with her or him if I'm going off the movie canon. People who take on 50/20 and other FNAF Max Modes are just built different. I admire every single one of them whether they beat them or not. The stress would break me. Anyway, I adored this video because it was a Guide and a History lesson all at the same time. You introduced me to FNAFTubers I've never heard of and you gave them all their Flowers nicely. You did Summoning proud and I enjoyed the video for You, too. Very well done. Happy Holidays! ❤️
