The "No Bull" motor is a custom "fine tuned" racing competition motor that was the fastest stock 540 can at the time...mid 1990's. The best racers were using them for the stock motor class at local races. These motors "smoked" all the other stock 540 motors.
OMG....... O.G, OMG, OMG,OMG, OMG. That there is every 1980s boys dream display!!! So much history, so many memories. And the boxes too!!! Crying over the Demon...... 😢 such sad news and fantastic motors.
Brings back memories.... I had a Technigold in my Super Shot, year was about 87 I think. Also had a Reedy Red Dot at one point...it was the holy grail when I was a kid and making my Tamiya Porsche 956 as fast as possible was a high priority. Had two paper runs to finance my Tamiya's back then. Happy days...good times. I'm glad I was a kid in the 80's. Thanks for sharing
Takes me back to the day just after Christmas visiting Daniels toys in Windsor and buying a technigold motor, the 8.4v gold power battery and the supershot gold wheels and spiked tires to upgrade my boomerang. Awesome memories! Thanks for sharing!
That's a collection to be proud of for sure! Even just seeing some of those motors and battery packs illicit such great memories of quite literally hours of fun had. Motivates me get some of my stuff organized. To quote Lord Vader "Impressive. Most Impressive!"
Just felt like saying I'm loving your videos, slowly working my way through them all. I'm in the UK and have always liked (and wanted) Tamiya RC's as a kid but never got bought one, had to make do with watching friends run theirs. Anyway, 35 years later I'm back into the RC world and am getting my 2 kids into the hobby. Over the next few weeks hopefully I'll be ordering a couple of Tamiyas to run in the sand dunes near here. Take care and keep up the excellent work!
Thats a fine collection of motors, the display stands for the motors is what really makes the collection look nice, they look so nice perched up like that :D
Cyclone 2 motor =awesome - put one in my midnight pumpkin it ripped the thing to bits- wheelies all the way, then put in my Michelin cosworth and turned what was an awesome car into an absolute beast!!
Fantastic Glen.. They all look great on display.. I never got around to seeing them all back in the day.. but I do remember seeing a lot of the techni golds at our Sunday morning club.. there I was with my completely stock hornets and hoppers.. I would just stare at the serious lads tables just wondering what all that gear was all about.. great memories once again Glen🤩🤩
Love all the vintage motors together. The old vintage motors are like pieces of jewellery with the anodised cans and end bells. Your collection puts my little Le Mans collection to shame. I love the Parma Cyclone the motor I always wanted. Ever though of stripping the insides of an old hump pack battery and installing a 2s LIPO. Would give a great retro feel for some of the older Tamiya cars. There is a great article over on the tamiya base forum on the process. Might make a great video for your channel.
Looks great, I imagine something like this in my dream hobby store I will start at some point in the future. just make sure that the lights don't fade/discolour the boxes you have, look into a light setup that does not fade items
Nice little video, it’s true that it’s not only the cars that evoke those nostalgic memories, but the accessories too, & none more so than the motors & batteries that promised all that increased performance. I’m very envious of that lovely CycloneII, I remember seeing the ads for these in the magazines! But most evocative for me is the green/white label Kinwald, the best brushed motor I ever owned, it was a 15t Triple - not the fastest motor but proved both dependable & efficient which meant it could be geared quite highly, I still own that motor (sans armature) after receiving it back from an old club racer friend, but will restore it with the MCI decal & a respray of the can.
EYE CANDY - ohh yeeahhhh what a collection there Glenn, totally Drewling over these My 4 Favorites would have to be the M.Reinhard Motor as that end-bell is something else, then next would be the Dyna tech02H , then the TRF Acto-Power followed by the Lemans 240st, Just to mention a few but there all just gorgeous motors Glenn They Really are What a collection thanks for sharing that my friend :-)
Great collection! I have some special brushed motors in cars that are too cool looking to be hidden under a body shell. I would like to make a display also. Yours is the bomb! I'm impressed with the MCI decals on the motors.

A few old Trinity motors (my pride is having all 4 of the Retro Series Speedworks motors plus the Retro Series Speedworks Green Machine 3 Pro.
