I think I love this! Saw one at a pawn shop, and I came back in the next day to keep playing it for 2 hrs! Out of all the drawbacks, this is such an easy practice/travel sized guitar + can be used as a midi! I think it's worth around 180$
Good for recording. Mostly use the 12 string and piano. I'd never play on stage with it. Definitely a tool for dexterity for a beginner. Or perfect for the guitar player stoned chilling on the couch doing bong rips and just Fkn around.
Why not? Does it have a delay or something? Bands such as Pendulum are known to use a guitar synth/midi guitar for playing certain computer instruments they wouldn't be able to otherwise unless they were all using keyboards.

I have one of these ez-eg midi's and the buttons aren't exactly soft but they're much easier on my fingers, takes getting used to tho for sure but it's fun being able to switch between choruses, tunes, scales on the fly while playing. Opens up a whole world of possibilities
All the people complaining it doesn’t sound like a real guitar are ridiculous. It’s a digital/synth instrument, not a traditional guitar. It’s not going to sound like a real guitar. Do you also get angry that an electric drum kit doesn’t sound the same as a traditional kit?

This exists so that guitarists can experiment with songwriting on different instruments that they don't know how to play, such as banjos, pianos, synths (or any MIDI instrument), bass guitars, etc. Be grateful it exists. It can only be a good thing.

This thing taught me to play guitar. It's for beginners/learners. It has amazing capabilities in terms of teaching you how to play chords, strum, etc. And it has a song bank with amazing hit songs to practice. So, I'm really thankfull that 12 years ago I got this for my birthday.
I have one of these things but for whatever reason every time I hit the low e string it triggers the a string as well. How the fuck do I make it stop doing this? It does it even if I hold the a string so it can't move.
cool concept but why put non guitar sounds in it? it would have been better if it were full of different guitars, like classic Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page and the like.... A nice Mark Knopfler sound and ZZ Top and the EVH Brown Sound...

This is literally the guitar equivalent of an electronic keyboard... it doesn't have to only sound like the instrument it physically simulates. Where have you been all this time, honestly? If you have any real knowledge on electronic musical instruments, like synthesizers, then you'd know exactly the reason why any non-guitar sounds were even included at all. Definitely sounds like it has the exact same guitar and piano sounds of its keyboard cousins of the time, the PSR E423/433.
