The Dango A-Series Adapt Wallets combine specific characteristics & functions from its iconic predecessors. It is truly a unique wallet that encompasses all the attributes of a modular Dango wallet. A10 Adapt Wallet Chassis
The A10 wallet chassis is made of machined 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum and anodized to perfection. The A10 is equipped with Dango’s popular and unique patent-pending quick-release rail mechanism on both sides of the wallet that allows easy access to cards while keeping them securely in place. On one side of the chassis is a horizontal cavity holding up to 4 cards that are protected by a removable aluminum RFID plate. I have watched your reviews on the ridge, grip 6 V2, xsto wallet and now this one. This is by far my favorite one so far. And I agree with you, the single pocket attachment looks to be the best combo for my personal uses. The bifold pen/book combo looks bad ass too.
It would be nice if they offered that bi fold option in leather.

Love it. Also your one complaint was very valid. I also don't like things that rattle and don't fit perfectly. It's an engineering flaw and a bit shabby, considering everything else is so great. But like you said, not a deal breaker and I really love this wallet with all the attachements.

Nice wallet. I like the rail system on both sides instead of just one. I don’t care about RFID so I like that look with the plate off. Makes it very slim.

foolish juan no I do not believe so.
I purchased their stand alone money clip which can slide in the arch nicely but it honestly needs a couple minor tweaks to be worth buying and after a week or two with this wallet , you’ll want to change it.
I went back to the ridge wallet bc it’s a better fit for my minimalist nature but I do like Dango’s products for the most part.
Just ordered the wallet version to add this to my other Dango wallets

New to this channel, great video. I have a question: In the "secret pocket" how many quarters do you reckon are gonna fit? I'm a eurobro so quarters are about the size of 1€ coins, and I need to have a couple for the coffee machine at work.

I know all experiences are subjective. I was given this wallet as a gift. I really like the adaptability of this wallet. The little raddle isn't really a complaint for myself. This wallet is durable and very practical. I'm really going to order the money clip so I can put my cash. Thanks for the review; it is very informative. Great job.
If the rattle does bother you a bit Teflon tape around the edges of the adapter keep it from rattling.

Hey Chrispy. This wallet, the bifold is probably one of my favourite wallets that you have reviewed. All the room a guy needs, and it is still quite compact. I just can't justify the price point.
Yes the price is high. Most people can’t justify the price. But if you can afford it, it’s definitely worth the money

Can't wait to receive mine after seeing your video, placed my order on 19 Jul and still waiting for them to ship out. Usually for raised number cards, is good to stack their raised side facing each other on the opposite direction, just to balance out the thickness of the cards on both sides evenly when you stack them together.

Dtex isn’t rfid protected as far as I know

Bifold pen wallet is great to pack away in My Alpaka Bravo X Sling Bag.
At $139.00 for the pen bifold wallet with note pad, I will put on my Black Friday List, that's just way to much money for that wallet. Everything doesn't need to be over priced just because it's nice.

I've been using this wallet for the past few days, and while the RFID side only holds 4 cards , it does have a little more space. It's not enough for a 5th card, but you can store some additional bills in there as well and stay slim without the money clip
I’ve also noticed that sometimes it’s difficult to put the cards back into the back rail slot , not sure if it needs some break-in time. For example getting Costco gas and taking two cards out.. one approach that seems to work better when putting the cards back is to push the other two cards out via the thumb push slot , then insert the Costco and credit card back and then push all 4 cards back in .

@@maxdemps6504 Radio Frequency Identification, basically tap to pay cards you get them close enough to the terminal and beep they scan your card without swiping or putting the chip in.
In the horizontal area where you can put 4 cards, does it still work ok if you just put 1 card in there? Or does it feel loose like that 1 card will fall out?

@@ChrispyThings I received the wallet today. Right off the bat I noticed the A10 with the bifold does make it seem a bit bigger but it does a great job with holding cards and keeping it a bit slim.
I noticed if you keep 2 - 3 cards in the metal chassis it does make a bit of a rattle which is not to big of a deal. The wallet is also surprisingly light and the detex material feels good to the touch.
It will take some time getting used to the rail system as you do have to feed the card precisely into the groove to slide in, the click is satisfying letting you know the card is secured.
I love this wallet so much I bought 2...I got the gold chassis, black leather bifold, and gold pen. Loved it, but it felt a little too dressy/douchey at times. So I bought another one, silver chassis, whiskey brown single adapter, and walnut backplate. And yes I know I could have just bought the single adapter to fit it over the gold chassis, but that gold was a bit too much...my mistake.
I switch them out when I'm feeling like one or the other. Big upgrade from my Fantom wallet in terms of looks and functionality imo. Love the customizable aspect of it.
I have to agree with the gold being too flashy. Save it for the club. Lol
When you took off the rfid plate definitely made me want it. Their next wallet should be a dapper rail wallet with the horizontal rail and either leather on the other side or the rfid plate. I would like the leather better don’t really need rfid.
A Dapper rail would be cool. They’re always working on new stuff so fingers crossed

Get review. I'm really thinking about ordering the single pocket. Even though I love my trayvax original 2.0.
A money clip that flips, like with a magnetic piece seen on leather wallets, or maybe with a hinge is a much better experience for holding money. And accessing cards portrait direction, where the slots are also staggered is better than any landscape way of getting to your cards. Even with the extra notch on the bottom to push them through.
Money clips that flip up are great for leather bifolds, not so much if the clip is located on the outside of the wallet. I feel that would cause more problems than anything.
I think i just felt in love
I have both the single and bi-fold versions. My personal preference is the single pocket. I placed my Drivers license upside as the first card in the vertical rail side. In the event that I need to show my ID I simply just slide off the single pocket and viola.
Now that’s badass.
It was because of your reviews that I became aware of Dango in the first place. Was not so easy to find a seller with reasonably fair shipping to Germany. I have now found and ordered the A10 Single Pocket. But actually as a German I should have ordered me according to your reviews a Trayvax 🙂
Both are great companies but very different. It really all comes down to what your needs are. The A10 is an awesome wallet

it's nice looking enough. just curious, will the dango money clip work on this wallet? I know it's made for M series (I have the spec ops wallet with the money clip and love it) but maybe placing it where the pen would go?
It’ll fit there but I don’t think it’ll fit properly. But if you don’t mind that it will technically work.
I would like to see a band for it that works with the bifold! I ordered a couple of bands to try out with it. Not sure if it'll work but it's worth a try.

Yo Chrispy, have you tried putting the A10 single pocket adapter plate onto the m1 rail wallet? Just wondering if it fits and if there’s room behind the adapter to put some cash
I love the design, but I know the minute I order they will release a special edition or better yet a titanium version with leather. how loose are the add-ons? Can it slide out easily if placed in a bag or something? think I would of like some sort of locking mechanism as they have with the tool insert on the M version.
The pocket adapters click into place but there’s nothing locking them in. I don’t think they’ll come loose in a bag though.

I'll be honest I thought this looked stupid until I watched your video. I love how slim it is but once again it looks a bit bulky when you add even the single pocket. I love Dango designs but they seem to add unnecessary bulk. Would be cool to see a side by side comparison with the M1. Also curious if if the clip can handle single folded bills without them hanging over the edges? For some reason I just prefer that and it was one of the things that interested me in the M1 Chassis Clip. Awesome video as always!

Just got mine and I should have listened more closely to the review. This thing is huge with the money clip and single card slot installed, even though it only holds 5 cards. The card holder rattling around is also annoying. Makes it feel a little cheap. Only when I'm holding it though, in the pocket it's not really noticeable. One thing to mention about the "secret compartment" is that if you use it for anything metal the top card get seriously scratched.
This is an incredible wallet, i used the flip side wallet and last me about 10 years, now is in the last leg. anyway .......i'm in love with this thing and my first reaction was to get it, its a good looking product but i think the price is simply insane. no way i will pay that kind of money . i guess back to the flip side for 40 dollars is much more affordable.
hey Chrispy, question for you. I just recently purchased the a10 bifold adapt wallet. the 1 card compartment will not go in completely if I have a card in there. did that happen to you when you first bought the wallet? Does it need to be broken in? No matter what I do, it only goes about 1/3 the way before it gets stuck and will not go any further to go back into the wallet. I have the titanium version, so not sure if that makes a difference compared to the original A10 when it was released.
Is it getting stuck in the a10 or the bifold?

@@ChrispyThings I think it's getting stuck on the bifold. the card clicks into place just fine. I don't know if maybe it's a manufacturing thing or if it didn't get cut deep enough. but I can't seem to get it over the card that's in place.
For the DTEX front attachment, how easy is it to slide the cards in and out from the pocket if you do 2 cards instead of 1 or 3?
Getting cards out of the Dtex pockets isn’t a problem at all.

If you go to their site to where you buy the clip, they have pictures doesn’t look idea but looks like it works without the notepad

i hated the idea that i would be paying 75$ for essentially rubber bands and two sheets of metal just bound together or a fancy compact jack-in-the-box that just pushes cards out.
the fact that this wallet took all that annoyance away for me, i'm finally convinced to switch to a metal wallet. specifically this one. there's actual multiple functions in the chassis design and true to its name, adapter expansions.
Kinda thrown by the bifold that doesn’t fold bills?? For me that’s the main virtue of bifold design: folding my bills
What are your thoughts compared to the Maverick Rail wallet? How easily do the additional pockets slide off of the rail system?
They slide off fairly easy. But not easy enough to where they’ll come apart in your pocket. They click together.
Here’s my personal problem. I’ve had a traditional wallet forever. I’m 42 years old. That wallet is so hard to let go of. I have to carry 5 id’s with me at all times. Military retired card, drivers license and 3 firearm licenses. Then VA ID, credit card, and possibly a debit card if the credit card fails. So 8 cards is my minimum carry. So I like the idea of this having 2 sections but I want to put my mandatory 5 id’s in one section, preferably the I’d window side. So I wish the ID window side could fit more than 1 card.

Just ordered the bifold pen. Don’t plan on using the note book just wanted the pen and bifold. Figure when I use it as a badge holder the bifold can be it’s own wallet
When adding the single pocket to the wallet, you lose the ID holder, but add a single slot. Maybe picking up an extra card or 2 to hold?

Yes you can use the clip and the single adapter at the same time. Didn’t I show that in the video?
And no leather adapters any time soon according to Dango, but they are a possibility in the future. I’ve already requested that! Lol
BTW, the pocket rattle is really a non issue. Almost 2 weeks with it and no issues. I also like that they did anodized this time instead of the Cerekote on the other styles.
Are you saying that yours isn’t loose or you don’t really mind it.
@@ChrispyThings I'm saying the "rattle" is subjective. I don't see much if any movement on mine but what's a lot for some may be negligible for others.
Just bought one with the trifold billfold. One thing I am always concerned about with these metal wallets is: Will it wear out my Carhartt jeans faster than a more flexible leather wallet? This will be my first metal wallet.
I’ve carried a Ridge wallet for three years I can say confidently no, they’re really machined well so they don’t snag up your clothes.
