This gentleman is very talented and the detail he puts into each doll is just exquisite.His hands are steady and sure and the love and pride in what he does stands out.I certainly hope he has trained a family member to take over the tradition when he can no longer work.Bravo Sir and many Blessings 🥰

My father brought home many items from Japan after WW2, including an assortment of dolls like these, silky clothes, and many recipes that we enjoyed as children.

I agree! I took kitsuke lessons when I lived in Japan and it was so cool to see him dressing the doll just the way you would dress a human- no short cuts!
i have 20 pcs of there dolls but i want them in glass case so it will be protected from dust seeing how they are done make me more cautious to take extra care because of the craftsmanship thank you for the video i really like ity
they remind me of a Japanese friendship doll I saw on display in North Carolina! It was apparently the only one of 50 or so that stayed on display throughout WWII.

市松人形を作る行程、人形の印象はお顔で決まるように思うのですが、表情が穏やかでとても美しいのはやはり巧の技 感動しました。
デザインから出来たお着物が美しいです。
クリップでとお帯紐を締める技、帯も綺麗ですし１つひとつの技に目を奪われ感動しました。
美しい日本人形、これからの時代にも引き継がれていくことを願っています。
