Well turning to religion organization for mental issues, is kinda good call if you can't afford a therapist. It is a area that was historical something they handled. Priest at least within the catholic church's have fairly high education requirements. In smaller communities they are often the most educated person around. An professional exorcist for the church is outright required to be educated in psygology. Priest is a very people job, that do need to be able to handle people coming to them with a range of issues. And be able to offer comfort and understanding to others so they can help, or turn you in direction of people who can. Even if they unable to describe you with meds. I am bit unsure how other religions or churches handles it. I can also easily imagine some priest can hurt more then they help. Specially fundamentalist.

I told him I didn’t believe in Catholicism and how religion divides us. He gave me a list of religious leaders in the community, for other religions, to go talk to.
