    I’m glad you did this review. I’ve been hashing over getting the 20 inch G1033x but in all honesty, the 15 inch X is more realistic for a guy starting fresh in the woodworking world. I’m tired of the “lunch box snipe “ and what you just showed me seals the deal. Happy woodworking!

      Thank You. I build a lot of Tables and other furniture in my small shop. This planer handles 8'x10" 6/4 and 8/4 walnut with no problem. The feed rate is much faster than the 735. I am very pleased with this machine.

      Enjoy that. I have put hundreds of BF of 8/4 Black walnut through mine and it has performed beautifully.

    Thanks for the video, I'm in the same boat as Stephen, debating over the 20" vs 15" ...... and I'm still not sure lol.

      You just need to evaluate the need vs cost and shop space. I went with the 15" because it has the capacity I need to run big boards for large panels. I do a lot of table tops. This planer is more than up to the job without taking up a lot of floor space in my shop. For the price this was an all around good fit. Very happy with it.

    Hi! Nice video, I've been thinking for a while to replace my DW735X and keep an eyeballing that model,just want to ask cause I didn't see when you put it on the mobile casters, where exactly you put to lift that planer? Thanks for answering 🙏🏼✌🏼

      Hi , Jaime. That planer has lifting handles that pull out from the body. I simply used lifting straps looped around the handles and a chain hoist attached to the canopy in front of my shop to lift it. It's heavy but can be lifted by two strong people.

    Have you found any videos on adjusting the rollers for snipe? I’m having issues getting mine tuned in.

    • @designcreationswoodworking963
      @designcreationswoodworking963  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't get any snipe on mine unless it is a longer board. You need to be supporting longer boards by lifting slightly on the end as the other end comes off the rollers. Rough cut material about 6 inches longer so you can trim off any snipe during final dimensioning. If you think the issue is with roller adjustment, unlikely but possible, you should be giving tech support a call instead. That way you are getting good information.

    How did you get it off the pallet? I just got mine and have no freaking clue and no forklift!

      I used lifting straps on the handles and lifted it with a come along on the canopy in front of my shop. It is heavy but 2 able bodies can lift it.

    Can you please give the name of the woman you mention in the video? I cannot quite understand the name you are saying. And by the way; nice planer. Thanks
