The word clayman heard is not raphel voice...it was the voice of the world....raphel is sage for rimuru and has the same voice actor as voice of the world..so u got confused

It's not Raphael that made clayman evole it's the voice of the world . Raphael just copy how the voice of the world sounds but this is away for u to know the difference. On my rimaru can hear Raphael while everyone can hear the voice of the world . Examples when rimaru was becoming a true demon lord it was the voice of the world that was talking also when the sacrifices were being made

Clayman is not "weak" by Tensura's standards. It's just that Rimuru and all directly under him got upgraded to a level that easily surpassed Clayman.

You could say clayman literally sets the standard for other characters strength in the future(not really a spoiler), for example 'hinata sakaguchi is stronger than awakened clayman" ," this random enemy is half as strong as awakened clayaman and such

Meanwhile the "Great Sage" which is now evolved into "Lord of Wisdom-Raphael" since Rimuru's evolution to True Demon Lord, is like Rimuru's personal Google assistant. When Rimuru got the "Great Sage" skill, "Great Sage" copied the voice of the "Words of the World" in order to communicate with Rimuru. That's why they sound exactly alike. The "Words of the World" just informs you when you get a new skill or evolve. It doesn't answer you, and doesn't carry out operations like Analysis, Thought Acceleration, Parallel Processing, Cast Negation, etc. So they're VERY different.

so why did Words of the world granted Clayman this power when it's not Rimuru's personal assistant. Did Raphael communicate with words of the world and told her that Rimuru plans on freeing all the souls?
Plus Raphael and "the words of the world" are voiced by the same voice actor. That's why alot of people are getting confused, thinking Raphael was the one who awakened Clayman.

The words of the world was just confirming his temporary awakening, the same way it confirms when someone gets a skill or evolved. Sort of like the "You caught a Pikachu" notification you get after you catch a Pikachu while playing a Pokemon game.

Shion and Clayman at this point are actually not much different in strength but Shion's skills and weapon are absolute counter to Clayman that it looks so easy.

Well shion was almost as strong as beni before the gifts so after the gifts, beni obv is leagues stronger than clayman, even if shion is not that close to beni anymore i believe she's still far above clayman.

It wasn't that Clayman was weak, it's just that Shion was his worst opponent because of her ability totally counters Clayman's power. Literally counters every power he possessed. What the animation didn't reveal is Shion possess perfect memory which makes her immune to mind control, and because of her insane healing ability she is basically unbeatable in physical combat
Well, you aren't wrong about Shion, but Claybitch IS weakest among all the Demon Lords, and his group. It made more sense in the manga where Kazaream tells him "You are weak. Let the Clowns do the fighting. You are hella clever, so you lead."

Milim has been playing Clayman since before they were introduced in season 1. While she is childish she is still very intelligent.
Her going to Tempest in season 1 was to have fun and meet new people, but also to protect it. No one was going to move openly against Tempest if they knew Milim was there.
After Shion/Benimaru/Souei/Ranga attacked Milim(to protect Rimuru), Rimuru challenged her to a 1v1. Her condition if he lost was he had to become her subordinate, which would of protected Rimuru and Tempest. She took a draw because it gave her honey and a friend instead of a subordinate. She got a bestie, so basically everything she wanted.
Veldora knew it when Rimuru told him that Milim is being controlled. Veldora was like 'Controlled? Heck No!'

@@Sychyx you surely jest, Voice of the world is literally Voice of the world, its just like a notification that tell you when the world "approved" you. Votw granted skills, give an announcement about some event, and sometimes assist when someone evolved.
In anime Votw speak when Mikami satoru dead, When Orc lord evolved to orc disaster, When Rimuru acquired unique skill Merciless, and Rimuru harvest Festival, there's a off-screen testiment too when Shougo acquired Unique skill "survivor".
On Rimuru harvest Festival, Greatsage and Votw talking each other. Greatsage Requested to Votw to evolve and so-on

Likely, Veldora's Ultimate Investigation Skill Faust is allowing him to analyze any attack he sees in Manga and recreate it.
So no spoilers.
First thing first, I keep seeing people reacting to this and forgetting who "Black" is, it was said before, don't remember what episode it was but Diablo is Black (Black Primordial Noir) while Guy is Red (Red Primordial Rouge),
Second thing, Clayman isn't weak, he is weaker than other demon lords such as Guy and Leon but he isn't weak. He just got destroyed cuz Rimuru and everyone who serves him got boosted after he evolved and they became just much much stronger.
Third thing, Clayman used the same magic he used on Milim to try and control Shion, that's why he said that it can even control a demon lord since he wasn't aware of Milim not being controlled. However when Rimuru evolved to a Demon Lord, Shion got "Perfect Memory" skill, which makes her immune to mind controlling abilities. (Rimuru meanwhile has Raphael to prevent any mind controlling abilities directed his way.)
And last thing, I see people confusing a very big and important thing, Raphael did not do that to Clayman at the end, Clayman forced himself true sheer determination to "evolve" but it's only temporarily. The voice you heard was "Voice Of The World" which basically acts as the world admin and announcer, Raphael (or Great Sage at that time) just copied that voice for easier communication with Rimuru. (Notice how when Clayman "evolved" and when Voice Of The World talked the background was blueish unlike Raphael's Orange one.)
They did change few other things (or didn't explain it well) but this is everything important that you should know and was left out, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Good Job explaning. I'd say an unawakened Clayman is roughly at the level of Carrion and Frey, maybe a bit weaker. In the manga, when Clayman awakes Carrion states that neihter Frey nor himself could handle him. I think a reasonable place to put an awakened clayman in terms of power could be well below 2nd generation demon lords such as Dagruel, Dino and Valentine. Leon, tough relatively new to the demon lords, is also definitely stronger than him.
I didn't really get how Clayman awakened. Didn't they prevent claymans forces from killing Carrions people a few episodes ago so that he wouldn't awaken as a true demon lord? What changed and how did he suddenly get all the souls then?
@@DragonDude384 So basically he did awaken but only as a temporarily demon lord, he consumed souls he previously collected. His demon lord seed didn't sprout yet and is unlikely to happen any time soon. They left his out but Rimuru also wondered how he evolved and Raphael said "It Appears that his determination has raised him to a new level".
As of now there's no exact measurements on how to gauge everyone's power levels. After this, Clayman will be the benchmark in identifying one's strength. Slime won't have an accurate gauging system until maybe we get season 5 or 6.

I don't think you noticed it but in the beginning of the EP, when Rimuru was telling Veldora about the mind control thing, Veldora was about to tell him that it wasn't possible, Raphael also tried to tell Rimuru the same thing since Millim wasn't being controlled by a spell, before that even Guy said that a small fry like Clayman can't control Millim, she must have had a plan of her own
Now it makes sense why Guy let Milim participate in Battle.
I'm not sure if it was explained to you through comments but it's not Raphael. Great Sage needed a way to be able to communicate with her master so even before Rimuru got reincarnated, Great Sage copied the Voice of the World. Anytime a new skill is acquired, it's the Voice of the World that's speaking, not Raphael. Raphael only answers to her master Rimuru and nothing else.
Guys when you heard the one's talking and sounds like Raphael, it's not really Raphael, it's the Voice of the World. It's a system created by their God (gonna say about their God in the reply since it has spoiler), it's like a assistant of their world saying to everyone what always happens
Their God is Veldanava, the first True Dragon and also the father of Milim. He's the one who created the entire Slime verse and the one created each Characters, except those who got summoned, but they're still connected to him since the one who summoned them is Veldanava's creation

Threats Levels and Freedom Guild Rankings.
I wouldn't bore you with the details because it'd take a while to cover.
*Hazard Class: Destroying towns and threatening small cities. For example, Rimuru before being named.*
*Calamity Class: Casually destroying small cities and mountains. Even capable of destroying islands.*
*Disaster Class: Demon Lord level like Frey, Clayman, Karion, Roy, Dino, Leon, Rimuru, etc.*
*Capable of destroying countries and even continents.*
*Catastrophe Class: True Dragons and some Demon Lords like Guy and Milim.*
*Easily a threat to all of humanity and could easily destroy the planet.*
Clayman isn't weak. But being a Demon Lord doesn't mean that you are untouchable. And there's a massive range of power for Demon Lords. Clayman is stronger than Frey but weaker than Karion.
Shion after evolving into an Oni and getting Master Chef is so on Karion's level. She might beat him to be honest.

This is something everyone watching the anime thought (including me before I read the light novels) But the "Voice of the World" that gives gifts and stuff is actually not Raphael. In the anime, for some reason, they use the same voice, which causes a lot of confusion, but they're actually two different characters. :)

That wasn't Raphael but rather the Words of the World. Great Sage/Raphael merely copied the voice of the World to communicate with Rimuru. During Rimuru's True Demon Lord evolution it was the Words of the World talking not Raphael. Words of the World is the system of the slime world that announces certain events like, notifies the individual if he/she gets a new skill, or evolution

Its not that Clayman is weak, its just that he is in a room of people who are the strongest beings in this show (with the true dragons being the only things stronger). Also Shion is very strong. Saying oh clayman is weak undermines that she is actually alongside Benimaru and Diablo as one of the strongest under Rimuru. If Benimaru was there he could probably get mind controlled, Shion can't cause she possess perfect memory. But that aside Clayman couldn't match her. In the web novel the author had Benimaru even state when it came to combat Shion would most certainly win if they fought. In fact out of the trio she excels when it comes to physical/ close up combat. And her Unique skill- she is actually very dangerous.

Raphael didn't awaken Clayman. In the anime Raphael and The Voice of The World share the same voice, they are two separate things.

If you remeber in the first episode when rimuru died as a human when he was getting reincarnated he heard the same voice, when he was getting all the skills.
Raphael didn't knew how to communicate with rimuru so she copied the voice of "voice of the world" that's why they sound similar.
Also if you notice Raphael san has emotion/feelings now which you can hear in her voice, where as "voice of the world" just sounds like google assistant with no emotions.

Raphael did not awaken Clayman as a Demon Lord. It was the Voice of the World that pretty much controls the world Rimuru is in. Basically if you remember the first episode, when Rimuru was dying, he was hearing the voice of the world and after saying that he wanted to become a great sage, he was granted the unique skill of the "Great Sage" whom we now know as Raphael. Another example of voice of the world speaking was during Rimurus evolution to a Demon Lord. It is sort of confusing though because they have the same voice actor. But its more apparent which is which because when the voice of the world speaks, the game-like visual we see for VOTW, is blue while Raphaels visual appears like a gold sort of color and is exclusive to Rimuru as his Ultimate Skill. Since we don't hear the VOTW often, its easy to mistake the two.

So.. i keep with the manga and even so is not clear. By what is show in manga AND in the anime: Black is the faction of the Demons. The Primordial Demon for the black faction is Noir. Now Noir gain a name : Diablo.

I love watching Brian and Stephanie because they have such short term memory and get fooled really easily lol. Makes the show more enjoyable when they are like "WAIT WHAT?! She was pretending the entire time!?" Like silly Rimuru was as well, despite being told/hinted by multiple people and Raphael. It's like everything is a surprise to them. More fun :)

The voice of the world can be heard from anyone when they are evolving or learning skills. Raphael can only be heard by Rimuru it’s like Siri for rimuru because rimuru literally has infinite skills but he can’t effectively use it without Raphael.

Just to help you understand. There are two beings. Words of the world and Rimaru Great Sage/Raphael. Words of the world is God's voice and Raphael is Rimaru self conscious which was given life and helps him process everything.

First demons did not originaly have names so they diferentiate from eachother from hair color ex: Guy was primordial red(crimson),and Diablo was primordian black(noir) and the 2 maids of Guy are primordial blue and green; about the power lvl now an aproximation wuld be Rimuru squad and weaker demon lords like Frey,Clayman,the vampire wuld be all in 10-15 power lvl than Rimuru wuld be a 25;stronger demon lords exept Guy and Milim wuld be at 30,Veldora at 35, Guy at 55 and Millim at 40 but her berserk skills increace her power lvl the more time she is in a fight and dose not have a top end so besicaly si starts weaker then Guy but is stronger than anybody if she fight for a long duration.Sory for bad english.

Okay Clayman wasn't weak just the weakest Demon Lord at this point Rimuru was already stronger that's why he could break Claymans spell so easily and also Clayman knew he was the weakest that's why he wanted the Orc Lord and why most of his abilities were centered around control.

And as far as power levels Rimuru told Benimaru to get a report of all the skills that the people of Tempest recieved it just wasn't revealed, but as you've seen they are all stronger to where Shion is even with an unawakened Demon Lord.
