This allowed razen to kill him that way much easier, and why he figured he should since he was permanently disabled at that point.
In the source material Rimuru wasn't so "merciful" when using Megido to wipe out Falmouth's armies. He used the beams to cut them up indiscriminately, severing limbs, organs and heads right left and centre....
Yes, he actually exercised the first Megiddo attack as a warning and to create chaos. So that, the army would feel afraid when some of their peers suddenly got attacked. The second attack was done instantly, and people died altogether in a blink of an eye. And the ones that witnessed all this got traumatized to the end of their lives (Razen and Rayheim) 😂. It was said that in one moment, the sounds was still loud in the surrounding, one moment later, lots of screams were heard throughout the field, and the next moment, all sounds died. No sounds were heard anymore.
THE FUCKING NOVEL IS THE SOURCE GOD FUCKING DAMNIT. YOUR COMIC BOOK IS NOT THE SOURCE YOUR ILLITERATE PRICK. Rimuru aimed for vitals. Once in a while he hitted a limb to cause chaos. That is what is written in the book, which is in my table as we speak. It is an irrelevant detail that manga "readers" keep poiting out in every fucking comment section.
In the novel, even Soei is relieved that he was not the one facing Hakuro at that moment. The barrier was effective and all but it was actually Rimuru's rule to never kill and just drive away human intruders that endangered Jura Tempest. That is also why Rimuru is so guilty about what have happened and as a reminder of this, he took on the job of eliminating the main army. He could have had ordered his subordinates to do it and his evolution will still happen but I really liked the way he took responsibility for the casualties when the invasion started.
Another fun fact: Regenerators actually end up feeling twice the amount of pain then those who aren't, due to the fact that the rapid healing disables their bodies' ability to go numb. It's even worse when dealing with something that deals damage over time, like fire or acid damage. And, apparently Rot. (Side note, Geld's rot also has a spiritual component, so it isn't just that guy's body that is being damaged...and Survivor only heals the physical body...)
Watching Shogo get beat down by Geld is my top favorite moment. Especially after knowing that most of the people killed in Rimuru's nation were goblins. Watching Slime Diaries, the goblin babies all love Geld to pieces. The ultimate revenge.
Hakurou was already my guy, but after this. He's officially officially my favorite character in the series. OG is pure savage, straight-up stone-cold. The way he executed Kyoya, was one of the most ruthless scenes I've seen in anime. Catch the head and tossing it to Shogo was so raw. Loved it

When you think about it, Hakuro is just too right with this line. Rimuru had been in this world for just a few years and could rule over many monsters, make them evolved into "Boss Monster". And he never planned on gaining strength for the purpose of being stronger or defeating strong enemy (we see him talking about how he'd prefer to avoid strong foes like Demon Lord and such). He just wanted to make this world comfortable for his friends, family and himself. He basically just wanted peace. Now imagine you anger him enough, like Falmuth did or even worse than them, into a state of rage and hatred toward yourself, you're fucked. With the help of Great Sage's analysis and recommendations, he could quite easily gain power in, I believe, an exponential rate. Imagine if you anger him enough for him to want revenge at all cost... no matter if it needs to be achieved today or in a thousand years... the dude definitely *will* find a way to get his revenge. His potential for growth is infinite. This world was lucky Rimuru was a good guy. You don't want to face an evil Rimuru.

Megiddo is literally a representation of how stingy Rimuru is on using his magic and skills. He aimed to use as little magic as possible to kill 20,000 people. So, he invented Megiddo that utilized the law of physics to the fullest on using the water vapour combined with the heat of the sun with ultimate control to kill people in instant. The magic used is too little for Megiddo, but the amount of control required to use it is insane. To the point that even if somebody else came out with the theory of Megiddo, it'll remain only a theory because no one would be powerful and intelligent enough to exercise the controls required to do it. And throughout the series, Rimuru will continue to be stingy on using his magic and skills. He saved too much and showed only a little to others all the time. He got too much secrets about his power.

The entire story is supposed to be dark and eerie from other characters view points. But since the MC is Rimuru and he's always in a cheerful mood, somehow both the anime and manga set the cheerful atmosphere to be the base vibe for this story. But the reality is, yes, Rimuru is absolutely eerie and dangerous.

I'm sure you've been told a thousand times, but there's Diaries of a Slime, it's super cute and all about the development of the village between just meeting Milim up till the aftermath of the Orc War. But it's cute, it's everything the show was in the first few episodes

To be honest, I doubt it would've effortlessly killed them (she didn't seem like one to train her skills and how to use them) she wasn't even aware how it worked until shuna literally cancels it out by neutralizing her technique. What I think is Ironic is that they would've had a much better chance if they went 3v2 against geld and hakuro, but they didn't even think to actually assess the situation and see that it was very dangerous (don't they fucking know that their powers aren't suppressed anymore? use some critical thinking skills pls instead of a berserker and severe skill). shogo didn't even think to ask for her to help him in any way, but if they knew and properly tested her ability, there was a good chance she could've somehow helped him get rid of the rot attack. She realized that shuna was a big problem after she cancelled out her ability so quickly, so I think there's a better chance that she would be cautious compared to the two that fought monsters that were under two barriers that suppressed their strength, so their attitude going into the fight was wrong from the beginning. Her ability interferes with the targets brainwaves, which means it's most likely not going to do anything but daze the two of them even if they left their brains unprotected, but they could also just cover their ears with magic and they probs be okay. I'm assuming it works like the white haired guy from jjk, so she would at least constantly be distracting them.
I love watching this part and watching other people see it because everyone mutually agrees that mass murder is okay here because Falmuth SO deserved it. Everyone usually cheers at this part. The episodes leading up to this gave me emotional turmoil so bad I acquired a headache, because I was so stressed with everyone dying and the otherworlders instigating, that I was just so happy with this episode and revenge.
I like how they were hyped to see Rimuru in action and then their expression slowly turned to shock as it started to sink in just how many people he was killing.
So that projectile attack gobta used is the 1st and will only ever be one of. He got that for winning against gabiru in the duel, as Rimiru promised he'd give him a weapon. Bc it's qualities were made to invoke and mimic a human gun back from our world. And so no more will be made. Also when he 1st used it, it was to snipe the lookout, in comparison to what he did here.
It is a very feel good show even despite the death lol. Only difference is now that their nation is gaining notoriety and making waves that extend outside of the Jura Forest, things are forced to get more dark at times 🤷🏾♂️
Oh also. There is a movie for this anime called scarlet bond that isn’t canon to the story but I would highly recommend it that takes place after the end of season 2
This is where I started hating Rimuru. This mass murder is not justified. You cannot say that all of these soldiers were "evil" and deserved being killed like that. And with how overpowered Rimuru and his friends are, there wasn nothing honorable in that "fight", either. For me, this episode is the turning point where Rimuru turned into the villain.
You see that right. In the novel, Rimuru said that he was prepared to shoulder this sin before he even do it. And he also admitted that he was really becoming a monster because even after the killing, he didn't feel guilty at all even when he wanted to. The sense that I get from Rimuru is that he was a monster since the day he was reincarnated as a monster. But, his memories were keeping him into place to still holding on onto some human values. But in reality, his whole being was already a monster. He probably wouldn't be able to do this if he's still a human Mikami Satoru. There are a lot of instances in the novel that hinted onto him really becoming a monster. But a lot of fans are denying it even when Rimuru itself was admitting it. You're right about this behavior being wrong, on human eyes, yes. It should not be right at all. But at the same time, Rimuru was no longer human. It should be surprising that even as a monster, a strong one at that, he would only killed 20,000 humans as a revenge for killing his friends. As you can see, Milim destroyed two continents upon losing her pet dragon. And Veldora destroyed a whole civilization just to test his might 😌. My advice is, you should no longer view the MC if this story, Rimuru, as a human. Always remember that, this anime is different from other animes where the MC is a human and are living within humans realm. Or at least, are mingling with more humans. This story started at Jura forest, the forest of monsters. So, their mindset and set of values are completely different than humans. That's why Milim is wearing very little clothes on her. And Ruminas even changed clothes in the middle of Walpurgis. Rimuru is probably the only one with proper etiquette. And also Leon, coz he's also an ex human. But the sad truth is that, Rimuru was only holding onto his memories, that remain only as knowledge for him. But his whole perception and senses were already those of a monster. This is also the reason why, even though he used to want a girlfriend when he was still a human, he rejected all girls now that he's a slime. Because even though he has his memories as a guy, his senses are changing to that of the genderless slime. He couldn't help it. That's why, as excited as he was about bathing with girls, he was no longer too perverted about it.

It is a very feel good show even despite the death lol. Only difference is now that their nation is gaining notoriety and making waves that extend outside of the Jura Forest, things are forced to get more dark at times 🤷🏾♂️
Oh also. There is a movie for this anime called scarlet bond that isn’t canon to the story but I would highly recommend it that takes place after the end of season 2

This is where I started hating Rimuru. This mass murder is not justified. You cannot say that all of these soldiers were "evil" and deserved being killed like that. And with how overpowered Rimuru and his friends are, there wasn nothing honorable in that "fight", either. For me, this episode is the turning point where Rimuru turned into the villain.
You see that right. In the novel, Rimuru said that he was prepared to shoulder this sin before he even do it. And he also admitted that he was really becoming a monster because even after the killing, he didn't feel guilty at all even when he wanted to. The sense that I get from Rimuru is that he was a monster since the day he was reincarnated as a monster. But, his memories were keeping him into place to still holding on onto some human values. But in reality, his whole being was already a monster. He probably wouldn't be able to do this if he's still a human Mikami Satoru.
There are a lot of instances in the novel that hinted onto him really becoming a monster. But a lot of fans are denying it even when Rimuru itself was admitting it. You're right about this behavior being wrong, on human eyes, yes. It should not be right at all. But at the same time, Rimuru was no longer human. It should be surprising that even as a monster, a strong one at that, he would only killed 20,000 humans as a revenge for killing his friends. As you can see, Milim destroyed two continents upon losing her pet dragon. And Veldora destroyed a whole civilization just to test his might 😌. My advice is, you should no longer view the MC if this story, Rimuru, as a human. Always remember that, this anime is different from other animes where the MC is a human and are living within humans realm. Or at least, are mingling with more humans.
This story started at Jura forest, the forest of monsters. So, their mindset and set of values are completely different than humans. That's why Milim is wearing very little clothes on her. And Ruminas even changed clothes in the middle of Walpurgis. Rimuru is probably the only one with proper etiquette. And also Leon, coz he's also an ex human. But the sad truth is that, Rimuru was only holding onto his memories, that remain only as knowledge for him. But his whole perception and senses were already those of a monster. This is also the reason why, even though he used to want a girlfriend when he was still a human, he rejected all girls now that he's a slime. Because even though he has his memories as a guy, his senses are changing to that of the genderless slime. He couldn't help it. That's why, as excited as he was about bathing with girls, he was no longer too perverted about it.
@@アシキン Also, it was always weird how Rimuru so easily gave up on his gender identity. He was a man, yet he shows no interest in sex (outside of the elf tavern), even going into the onsen with the girls because nodoy views him as a man. No real human would give up his gender identity that easily, so it really made me feel weird about Rimuru from early on.
The one thing I hate, though, is that Rimuru is never punished for his mass murder crime, at least in the anime (pls no light novel spoilers!). You'd think there'd be some kind of karma, but no, everyone continues to cheer for Rimuru, even other humans. It's weird.
@@monolithsoft_guy Well it's clearly understandable to everyone that Rimuru has every right to kill them. They aren't civilians. They are soldiers who invaded and slaughtered the defenseless citizens of Tempest and were ready to do it again while taking the women and treasures for themselves. Being overpowered doesn't mean that you can't defend your people and home from an enemy invasion. It's no different than when those 200,000 orcs were invading the Jura Forest while killing and eating everything in sight.

Rimuru was idealistic and naive for a while, like you, because he thought he was in a fairy tail world. Reality hit when his softness destroyed his family and city. And after this, although he does understand when to use force, Rimuru continues to show mercy to most people throughout the story. He doesn't kill 9head. Doesn't kill the Clayman men who surrendered...

Rimuru is neither defending nor acknowledging that these soldiers aren't evil when he murders them. To make this a just action of war, he should have at very least given all soldiers the chance to retreat. He didn't. And he never planned to, because murdering them was part of his plan to revive his own people from the beginning.
That's why I hate Rimuru so much from here on: He's following a very simplistic, shallow morality, where everything he does is good and everything else is bad.
