I found an old coffee grinder at the thrift store and I use it solely for the purpose of shredding up that iridescent cellophane. Works wonders!

He's absolutely gorgeous the ice dragon!!!,,, and the other one sun dragon!!!,, both are amazing,and you did really well, love the ice dragon more though,, it should catch the sunlight beautifully.

@@PouringYourHeartOut the mould is gorgeous, the foils go very well I had that problem too trying to separate it a bit gives it a lovely ice look thats where the name came from and the warmer dragon,,wish I had one like that,, I do have a seahorse mould but the flat shallow type, was unable to get the deep seahorse mould ,,, have you thought about using crystals in them with a tab of glitter a tinch, I think it would look great,, but may have to be clear for the light to catch, no done resin for a while due to my health ,, at the moment I have a bad flu,, so plenty of vitamin c,, there's alot going around this weather so very very cold here. Painting the dragon spikes and horn makes the cellophane resin pop. I think I just found my hobbies.

OMG! He is just magical. Hope you dont mind my back seat driving. I was hoping for silver horns and talons. Thought you would need some color or glitter, but no. He’s perfect! Those “flaps” are ears I think, Not a dragon expert obviously.

Yes, those are claws on the wings... Wings are modified hands and arms, so that spike is what remains of a thumb, and the ones on the ends of the long vanes are fingernails :)

I love this one, my favorite out of the two. I thought of a name for him. " Opal Golden Rod" the Australian Dragon.

When I’ve had to cut these I use the handheld cutter the one you can chop onions etc with in the bowl

Buffalo snow is iridescent cellophane that's been shredded. I find it works very well for that kind of thing.

‘She’😊 is stunning! Thanks for adding the gold to the horns and spine. It’s always great to actually get to see what you’ve only just imagined. I love the iridescent film! It gives her a mystical quality. I wasn’t bored for a second, in fact I’m always happy when you’re videos are a bit longer.. that just means I get to enjoy it for longer too. I’ve only cut up small amounts of that film and it was messy!😆 I didn’t think of it at the time but, I wonder if those cutting wheels that are used for fabric would work a little better than scissors? I noticed someone else in the comments mentioned using a dryer sheet to reduce static, maybe wipe it down with that first? I love both of the dragons but, I think this one’s my fav! Great job on both the mold and the dragons!

I love the addition of the markers, it adds a lot of definition and dimension…. Would even go crazy with black, purple, green… all metallics. Even maybe color flash paints. Wow ❤

I love the added gold to the spikes (esp since gold is often a great love for dragons). And I would have just left the missing horn off, as dragons tend to be very aggressive whether they're fighting or making love and horn loss is normal.
As a writer with an extensive grasp on dragon lore/anatomy, here are some names for body parts:
Spine(s): the row of spikes down a dragon's back
Membrane: the skin/hide between a dragon's wing bones
Hide: dragon skin, can be covered in scales
Also, horns and claws and spikes/spines and sometimes teeth are often all similar colours due to them not being covered in hide, like how horns and hooves are similar colors because they're both made of keratin.
Right hand front wing horn needs gold. The flaps on the head are ear flaps. Julie she is so stunning. I eventually want this mold but am fearful of unfolding. Afraid I will break off horns.

Hey, I think you might want to let the prototype maker know that the left horn isn't as deep as the right horn. I don't think it's *you* doing something wrong, girl! You ARE pushing the resin in, as far as it can go! Not sure about the right wing's back sweep membrane claws, but he might need to look at those, too.

Looks great! Honestly, I kind of like that it isn't perfect. Almost like this dragon got in a fight and even if it's a bit battered it still emerged victorious! ✌😁
EDIT: If you make another one with cellophane like this maybe try mixing a bit of rainbow alcohol ink and/or diamond dust into the resin first so that even the parts without cellophane still have a touch of sparkle. Might be overkill on the sparkle but I say "there's no kill like overkill!" 😂

I use a large gauge syringe to get into tight spots like that horn you should try it.
