It was your reviews of the GT TSI, which sealed my already certain decision of buying it as my first car. I have already completed 50k KM in the last 2 years, and it has been one amazing experience of owning a bloody beautiful car.
Just three words of advice for people considering it.
1. Stick to a good engine oil, probably Shell, for vastly improved refinement of performance. Whatever the company dealers put into the engine during servicing is rubbish.
2. Go for better tyres. I waited for long, but after the change, I have seen the difference. Apollos are ordinary.
3. Be prepared to be frustrated with VW after sales service. It comes in all colours of terrible. Just wish you will rarely have to deal with them.
But to conclude, if you are the one, who is going to to drive it a lot, it will be a purchase you will never ever regret.
Suggest me the best engine oil bro.

Hi I'm also planning to buy a gt but I've heard that the engine is always faulty and always there are parts which cause trouble and are very expensive to replace/service, and also it takes a lot of time for getting these parts as they have to be imported. Is it true?

I have a 2012 1.2 mpi polo highline which has run only 48000 kms and has again developed engine issue. Its EPC light is on and its engine and body is rattling and shaking like crazy. Last time it happened it had run 32k kms. Had got all 3 ignition plugs, spark plugs and the entire set changes for 10k approx then. So, got it to volkswagen service station, the engineer said that he'll have to check if there's a compression issue. He asked me to submit my car for 3 days. If there's a compression issue, then we'll have to change the entire engine set which will cost me somewhere around 25-30k. And 3 days for checking the issue and what if engine has to be replaced? another 30 days! I mean people buy cars to park in garage or what? I used to think that if you get your vehicle serviced in time at authorised service stations, it wouldn't give any problem. Thats true for Maruti & Hyundai cars as per my experience but not with this metal junk Volkswagen polo. Imagine what kind of a car would develop engine problems after running merely 48k kms and timely serviced every single time at authorised service stations only? doubting if i had a bad luck that i got a lemon, i enquired several indian car websites and to my surprise found many similar cases with this product. Buying a volkswagen thinking of german engineering and safety proved to be a curse. Now i'm stuck with this lemon, can't even sell it off worrying what the person who buys it from me later discovers all this would think of me that i duped him/her. its as good as a scrap now. I have already prevented 4 of my friends from buying volkswagen products. So, i advice you gentlemen and ladies even to think a thousand times before buying a volkswagen...

I think a lot people want to know exactly what are the practical differences in the Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. People REALLY WANT TO KNOW THAT! Not a single car reviewer does that! You get such reviews for UK, US, France, Brazil etc.

This car needs to be revisited.. 2019 Polo GT TSI. Almost above 10 years for this design, and still selling in the market at a steady pace and has plenty of followers. This vehicle is very much relevant even today and where it stands next to more feature loaded and modern designs of competition.

I love powerdrift! :D not to pinpoint but powerdrift, you said 'keeps it in the lowest gear possible for maximum efficiency'. shouldn't it be 'shifting as fast as possible to the highest gear possible for maximum efficiency'? but overall, i loved it :) love the way the video was shot.

As a polo tsi owner, I do not wish to make it look different, I would be happier if it looked more like the normal Polo. Nothing brings you immense joy everytime you give 3-seconds of false hope to pretty much every other car on the roads when they try to dick around you.

Superb video..the correct BGM,Editing and the cameraman done a great job and on the end sequence 6:46 to 7:14 . The way VW GT splashes the water and wipes of at 7:12 of the video..it made goosebumps on me! i owe it to myself - to be a PD army comrade

I've just started to learn to drive a car and I am really getting irritated by the manual transmission in traffic. I get so tensed (people start honking) and I stall the car many times . I want to ask you if an automatic is recommended for a new driver. My parents says that drive a manual so that it'll be useful in the future. But i'm pretty sure that i'll stick with an automatic.
Can a newbie learn driving on an automatic ? ( I'll learn with a Maruti Celerio and pass it on to my sis and I very badly want to polo Gt Tsi)
And I always travel in peak hours and the metro project adds fuel to the fire!

Thanks a Lot! but the problem is WagonR (the car i'm using to learning to drive) doesn't come with a RPM meter , But on a motorcycle, i'm able PM meter.

+Ranjith Nair The Elite I20 is no longer available with the automatic option. You can check the GT TSI or the newly launched Ford Figo which comes with a 6 speed automatic! Don't forget to share a few pictures once you get your new car :D

Charles forgot to mention that this does not have abs, breaking is still a bitch. One has to get used to it. Don't know if we need esp over abs.

Hi Guyz, Recently I took test drive of the 2016th version of polo gt tsi and I found allot of humming noise like sitting in a flight and those guyz back there at showroom told me that as a feature. I don't buy that shit, but would like to know whether you guyz were also annoyed because of the humming sound apart from sweet engine acceleration?

There was Direct Injection before too right?
Not in the Petrol. Polo has the 1.2 ltr 3 cylinder MPFI Petrol motor on the other hand. TSI engine from VW uses Direct injection and Turbo-charger.

A suggestion, Now since a new breed of cars have been introduced in the Market i.e. the crossbreed of Hback & SUV's it would really b helpful to compare these cross breeds with a proper HBack both of which are sub 4 meters.
Living in Mumbai parking space being and issue I was quite confused between the GT TSI and the EcoSport. I couldn't find any comparison between the 2 in any car review websites
