  • I went to European Automotive to repair my broken Mercedes E55 AMG Wagon. They determined that my rear air bags and compressor did indeed need to be replaced. Follow all the guys on Instagram
    Thanks to Antigravity Batteries for providing the lithium battery. Here's the link to the battery I used: antigravitybatteries.com/prod...
    Eclection Auto is who I used to buy and import the E55 AMG Wagon from Japan. Reach out to them for any of your JDM import needs.

      I would have swapped the valve block, and the inline filter. No need for coding when adding a new one. I have airmatic on my E550, and it gave up at 12 years. Also putting new oil on the line would have helped extend the life of the new compressor, since the old compressor took a lot of it out, plus wear on the old oil.

    One thing I would love to see on this channel (prob not your favorite thing to do since you live it) would be a vlog related to your “daily grind” or maybe some behind the scenes content of how you built your brand, how you select vehicles to test drive, the manufacturer press car process, stuff like that.

    Hi Jakub, thanks for the nice video. In February 2023 I replaced the rear air bags on my 2013 E550 with a pair of German Miessler (they are 100 km from Stuttgart) for which I paid 388.69 euros - CAD$ 573.21, delivered in 3 days to my door in Canada. The job was difficult to do though - being in Quebec rust and calcium essentially welded the old bags to their sockets, and it took about 8 hours each to take them out. As of March 2024 everything is fine.

    There are a lot of JDM cars for sale in Vancouver. I always wonder if the odometer readings are accurate. They’re invariably far far lower than a Canadian car of the same type.
    Most of the JDM cars are RHD. I have seen a few JDM Mercedes that are left hand drive. I wonder how that works? Japan is so strict about cars, yet they allow a new car with the driver on the wrong side?

    • @itsreallyjakub
      @itsreallyjakub  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      High end cars like Mercedes, owners can choose LHD or RHD. This is high mileage for a JDM car, not worried about a roll back lol

    Yeah pretty much these Mercedes that is the thing that you need to look out for is the suspension Air System going out. You can do a Air suspension Delete but it will cost about 1500 plus labor so its the same dam thing. Might as well just keep it Airbagged

    All the Parts ( Original Wabco Compressor is around 350€)
    Air Struts ( A complete Set is 300-400€)
    I would do the repair myself, but a Workshop should charge maximum 500€/600$ for this Job.

    Repair cost seems to be in line with market rates. I have a 2008 TL Type-S which Ive owned for 12 yrs and lately making me spend this kinda numbers timing belt, water pump and fuel pump all in 3800 and now have to replace the valve cover gasket and another seal 950. Joy of owning an older car, we bitch about the repairs and then soon forget all about it.
