Yuri is a true body man. He's not taking the shortcuts like cutting his stuff off of welding panels in he pulls it molds it and shapes it like it's supposed to be done from the factory. I get more entertainment and watching him do that and some other guys that just want to take the shortcuts by cutting stuff off a welding it in.
great job dear thing - i wonder how soon before you get some funky gear in to save you a little labour time - but still enjoy watching you do things a little old school
Hi Yuri. Some like the no narration method but I still prefer to hear some content on what you are doing and why. It’s really interesting to hear your take on what is needed and how you are going to do it. Just a thought 😊
I’m no expert, but doesn’t heating a frame like that damage the structural integrity of the metal? I know you beefed it up afterward, but does that change the way the frame would crush in any subsequent accident? I’m just curious and asking questions to better understand because I don’t know.
@@23RD would this repair pass dot inspection without a repair method from an engineer? Heating frame, welding frame etc ? Asking from a couch potato perspective.
So was this a rush to beat to beat the reporting window for Carfax to avoid being issued a junk title? I see a lot of vehicles getting title washed here in this manner. As long as they get registered in one of the 4 or so states that allow it before the 45 day reporting window they receive a clean title which is totally unscrupulous and should be considered fraud. Maybe that was not what happened here but does happen every day. I would not want a vehicle with this kind of damage even with a repair as cosmetically well done as this.
@@jeffstewart-x9t definitely not washing anything in Tennessee or Georgia and unless no one saw you total your vehicle, you are getting a salvage title. This truck was purchased from copart and will be passing TN state inspection after it is complete. Pictures before and after damage have to be sent in to the state, kinda hard to trick anyone here. Plus it’s all on TH-cam now 😂

How does Ben have 600,000 subs and Yuri have only 54k??? Love when you post Yuri! With a dedicated camera man your channel would blow up!!
Probably because vTuned's channel.is about 10 years older than Yuri's. He'll get there. He's killing it just like Ben.
I feel like I learn more from Yuri when he does the repairs

Very solid work and impressive, but fixing the bed was just showing off.😂

tnx for the video
Aren't they designed to bend in those locations? Can the truck still absorb an impact with reinforcement?
Amazing job ❤ why so short video 😢
Get that new camera----person-----going!!! "Cat" !!!! Miss you & Ben doing videos together!!!
i am working on it
When do you apply heat? Based on damage and frame thickness? You applied heat for the end frame but not for the frame under the bed, hence my question

Is this the OEM engineered repair method?
For sure. Not.
OEM method is to scrap frame, sell to China, then buy new one made from same metal.

I quit the carbon fiber business.....just a crap business to get into. I'm thinking of doing what you, Vtuned do but in Washington State
heating the frame like that takes away all of its strength. makes it brittle and will crack in any impact. this needed a new frame. garbage repair
