My headphones work just fine. I'm trying to find out why my TV/Monitor refuses to play game audio from a few games but plays audio from a dozen others. I've looked up any recent issues with the former and the most recent audio issue was more than 6 years ago. That was fixed. For PC users. Not Xbox. Xbox users have not had that kind of issue apparently. If it's not the games, then maybe it's my monitor. I have no idea.
What worked for me after 2 days of frustration was I unplugged both my TV and my Xbox console for 10 minutes and then plugged them back in. That fixed it somehow.
I updated my controller and it fixed the audio issues I was having. I honestly thought my headset was dying on me. I'm just kind of blown away that updating my controller would heavily affect my audio the way it did. Thank you for the video and thank you for the help. Now I know what to keep my eye out for.

Just got a Series X and what I'm encountering is this...I can hear squad mates on Hell Let Loose but they can't hear me. I tried my nice headset, a single ear headset...then a cheap $15 chat headset and for whatever weird reason, the $15 one worked. Then today...back to square one, none of them working.
I love the fact that I looked up SoundCloud not working for Xbox 2022 and there’s literally nothing just things talking about audio does anyone have an issue when you load into SoundCloud on your Xbox and try to play a song it crashes and kick you out of the app????

Easy way to fix, just record a xbox one(non optimized) or xbox 360 game, then record xbox new gen/optimized game. You need to do it again after turning off console. This issue its just for new gen and optimized games.
All I'm concerned about is getting the sound back for when it decides not to work, because one of the things I've done to get the sound working is turning the switch off from the socket and back on but then my brother signs in to his account later on and the sound doesn't work again on the menu of the Xbox Series X neither on games we go on, so just earlier I toke the HDMI cable out and put it back in for another solution and now it's working on my brothers account again but it's bound to not work again eventually, i don't know why it just decides to not work?
What worked for me was under the Audio & Music settings, the Headset Chat Mixer was all the way to the right so only mic volume was passing through. This is a critical setting that balances mic with music & sfx.
@@Ludexracing I troubleshooted everything before I found this setting. I was checking cables, changing headphones, restarting. Voila! there's a mixer setting to blend voice with music.
When I’m playing Apex Legends with my cousin on Xbox One and go into a party and somebody joins or we have a random I can’t hear my random but only my cousin so she has to tell me what they say if they are asking me something I restarted the Xbox don’t work and it’s starting to get annoying cause when we got into a match I heard my random but next rounds I couldn’t hear my randoms again
Every now and then my controller glitches making my headset volume pretty much 10 times louder than the max making it distorted. I hate it because the quick fix is turn off the controller off and back on but when I’m trying to play this is inconvenient and everytime I almost have a heart attack or stroke 😂. How can I fix this! Unbelievable! Almost returned my Razer Kraken because the audio was so low. This video was the only one that had mentioned updating and the audio settings button to turn up headset audio. True legend!
To anybody wondering, if your running your tv through earc with a sound bar, just don't and connect the TV to the Xbox and sound bar to the TV and it'll work right up. Something about the tv to arc messed up the sound terribly to where you can't even watch movies and game sound and the menu screen will crackle with every move. I remembered I have never had this issue with my old TV running straight through to the sound bar and after all these "fixes, that cleared it right up. That all in one setup is for the birds. Luckily I didn't throw away my old cords. Good luck to anyone with this issue.

I have a Series X. Last weekend I turned on the console and there was no sound on the home screen. Tried playing a digital game, no sound. Played the one game I have on physical disc and there was sound on it. But when I quit that game and returned to the home screen, no audio again. I can turn the console on and if there is sound on the home screen a digital game will also have sound. But once I quit that game and return to home, no sound again and it won't come back. I've spoke with Xbox support twice and they can't figure it out. Supposedly they are taking it to next level support.
The problem I have is I can hear people speak, but my game sound (or any sound really, home screen, it dont matter) it wont work. Its silent. PLEASE Help

Everytime I connect my wireless headset(or even plug in an earphone to the 3.5mm port on the controller) Xbox disables the "speaker format" settings. It says "Speaker format - headset format" and I have my "Headset Format" to - dolby atmos. But if i dont have anything connected then i can change the speaker format and headset format.

@@PizzaConnoisseurer If I remember correctly, you press the Xbox button on your controller. Scroll down to the far right hand corner where you'll see the speaker emblem. Press that and you will see the options on volume control's. Let me know if that helps?

Hmm.. i tried it. I have a Razer Headset Kraken V3 with an USB Cable. I put it in both USB Ports on my Console, the Light goes on at my Headset but I can't hear anything. It is kinda weird. It feels that my xbox don't recognize my headset at all! When I go to ur tip at 1:11 it is grey like in ur video so maybe i do something wrong?

My problem is when I enter Netflix when a game is installing it crackles when I watch a show
None of these worked for me. I ended up unplugging it and plugging it back in and that fixed it so it was just a weird bug.
