    Fascinating look on how trackman can be used to adjust some of the finer points of the swing! Hopefully, you guys will produce more of these sooner rather than later!!
    Also, Scott seems to be a wealth of knowledge, when it comes to actually putting the numbers to work in the swing!

    Shouldn't a fader require a stronger grip (or do it in transition) to prevent the club from fanning wide open during the "turn & burn".. everytime I tried it I got a massive slice.. Been trying to the "DJ" take-away feel and it seems to help.. Otherwise I'd a push-slice instead of a pull-fade.. Great stuff guys. Looking forward to rest.

    Interesting stuff- how in the world did Nicklaus hit a cut or fade with standing close, high hands and using mostly up and down motions- seems mostly a draw set up?

    Is it true to say that Trackman doesn't actually measure spin but uses other data like Ball Speed, Trajectory, swing plane to work out using a formula the Spin rate of the ball???🤔🤔

    • @SmashFactoryGolfChannel
      @SmashFactoryGolfChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question - Trackman definitely measures spin - however it can use those data points to help it make an educated guess if it mis-read spin. If you ever see an italicized spin rate number, that means Trackman missed it and is assuming based on everything else.
      We use the Titleist RCT golf balls, and since switching to those we might see 1 mis-read in 100-200 shots. Before it occurred quite a bit more often.

      @@SmashFactoryGolfChannel How much does the ball condition factor into correct reads? I belong to a golf "gym" with Trackmans and they do have some RCT balls, but usually they are pretty beat up. Do you see misreads with worn down or beat up RCT balls? Perhaps worth the small investment of buying my own dozen RCTs?

    • @SmashFactoryGolfChannel
      @SmashFactoryGolfChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marshallw4492 Definitely is a factor. We noticed with non RCT balls, when they were fresh, we had few issues. As soon as they started loosing the shiny white cover - issues would start. We do notice a significantly longer period before this starts to happen with RCT, but a dozen of your own would last you quite a long time and probably isn’t a bad investment.

    Look at the right hand grip, its under the club.

      I’ve seen that grip setup more often recently. I’ve even seen a video recommending it, equating it to swing a sledgehammer low at a wall. That’s how you instinctively would hold the handle. I tried it and it does feel like you can apply more power but I didn’t have any control and the ball was all over the place. Granted I didn’t put much time into it.

    funny watching Marc claim he's moving the ball back in his stance and forward in his stance but not actually moving it anywhere in his stance:). Testament to his talent, because he made impact changes strictly based on intent.

    I'm shallow with my irons too but with an 11 index blades aren't really an option. Should I just work on getting steeper?

    • @SmashFactoryGolfChannel
      @SmashFactoryGolfChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi There! My best advice to you would be to find a set that has minimal bounce. Or take a higher lofted head and bend it strong 2-3* which will remove a few degrees of bounce. Examples would be Apex Pro, Miura Tc-201, ZX7 has a slightly different sole construction that could help with turf interaction as well.
      Overall though, you would probably want to work on getting your low point a bit more forward as well - it’s going to help with a ton of things. Something I am constantly working on!

    • @hbyrdut
      @hbyrdut 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SmashFactoryGolfChannel Thanks for your response. I had the Titleist T100S's but I needed more forgiveness. I now have the Cobra Forged Tec but not sure about bounce on those. I definitely need to work on low point.

      @@SmashFactoryGolfChannel Do you have a good drill for moving low point forward?

    • @SmashFactoryGolfChannel
      @SmashFactoryGolfChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hbyrdut was going to say T100’s but thought they’d be right on the edge. I’ve had a lot of success fitting shallow good players into i500 and now i525. Lovely look and they pack a ton of forgiveness.
      Put a flat golf towel (I use paper towel at our studio) and lay it about 4-5 inches behind your golf ball. Feel weight moving towards target as you hit a few smooth ones, trying to avoid the towel and eventually get to full speed.

    great speed, lots of loss of balance for a 7 iron.
