Watching this kinda infuriated me because he kept setting up to the ball incorrectly and even kept talking while Scott was trying to teach him. It infuriated me so much i went and tried it myself. Handle back, hood the face, swing shallow and rip left.
It’s absolutely amazing the results were instant, and pretty consistent although i did double cross a few.

Really really great stuff!! Would it be possible to summarize all of the set up (e.g. ball position, hand position) and swing dynamics (e.g. swing plane angle, swing direction) characteristics and their effect on ball flight that you covered in this series with Scott?

It's counter intuitive that a steeper swing plane lends to a draw and shallower to a fade, when you consider lie angles (toe down=right and toe up=left) is the opposite.
For those who slice, would you reverse everything? Stand further away, handle higher, ball a little back?
Great question - absolutely! It doesn’t mean that if you set up like that you will only hit draws, however it will make things much easier.
So many variables that its hard to tell a newby what is definite. Main thing for this guy is hand/clubface direction & clubhead path. He doesn't understand that hip pulling will leave face open/delay hands. Just tell him to take a weaker grip and strengthen it as he turns his hips faster.

With such a strong grip , will the club not release earlier and negate what you are trying to do which is turn the corner with a very a shallow plane and hit a fade ? Hogan had a weak grip . Seems like you have to be a freak athlete like DJ to have a strong grip and turn the heck out of it to get a left swing direction and fade the ball . Usually players with strong grip will stall out and release the club with the right swing direction and draw the ball . Can you please clarify , many thanks .

Hi Ray, absolutely you can do that to increase your left path. Each of those components are small pieces, so you can always dial each one back marginally to achieve your desired ball flight.
The shot where you didn't agree with trackman his path was to the right 0.9 and his face was to the left 2.7. With the face closed to the path it should hook. Was it because of the heel strike that you didn't agree?
Yes - What Scott was explaining is that when you hit it on the Toe or Heel inside on Trackman, sometimes it does not have enough light to determine the gear affect. Face was definitely closed to the path, but when you heel something as hard as I did in the video, you will see it gear and turn left to right.

The purpose of the video is to educate the viewers of the faults and corrections. Scott is very good in explaining but the young Marc keeps saying I got it and keep hitting at the ball rather than explaining what he is trying to do …I just see the mad young boy keep hitting one after another …
He keeps saying “yeah, yeah” but doesn’t correct most times. At least not the way he’s been asked to.
