Been in the modding discord since 79. Remember when it was 2 or 3 big packs and that was it. Love watching it grow exponentially with full tank replacements and sound redos and ui overhauls etc etc
Yeah, I hadn't checked in a while and it is insane how big and complete the mods have become. I generally don't use mods, cause I want my tutorials to be in vanilla as to not confuse people but there are some awesome ones around
The latest mods of foxhole have gone insane, especially with VR first-person mods etc. community is working really hard. cheers freerk, ty for another instructional video.
Sometimes mods will "break" after game updates most notably when the devs change the layout of the game world. If you use a map mod in this example, your map will show the old world and not be accurate to the update. Fortunately mod makers are fairly prompt on addressing these changes and updating a mod is as simple as deleting the old version and installing the new one
Hey I’ve been watching your videos as a new player and they have been great! I was wondering what your thoughts on what are the best front line defenses? Like for pushing vs trying to hold out, etc. thought it could be a good video as I can’t find anything similar to answer that
Ás far as I am concerned; anything that does pew pew is good. Anything that doesn't is a two edged sword. The foxhole or trench that is in your favour now, might be detrimental in 5 minutes. Also what is "the best" will depend on pahse of the war and probably meta as well. Which is not something I deall with typically. Builder clans will have their preferred ways of building defenses so you can always seek them out/ask them for tips (in game)
Anybody that is answereing questions in ask-the-community deserves all the praise they get and more (because let's be honest, they do not get enough praise :D )
It is an complicated subject. Most mods on the Nexus Mod Discord are allowed and shouldn't pose a problem. The devs disawllowed the changing of certain aspects of the game (like animations and buildings) so even if you wanted to you couldn't change those. Common sense should be applied. If a mod gives you a big (and unfair) advantage you can bet that the devs do not want it. But in general, things like UI, map, uniform and vehicle mods add spice, not advantage. Some sound mods I personally think are a bit iffy but are still a great way of enhancing your experience

It is great to see what is being churned out, yeah.
And thanks, my pleasure.
I like playing this as Warden BOS vs NCR, as a fallout fan it makes the game a lot more fun.
Oh, my mod threads were in there. ❤

I wonder if Vortex will have Foxhole support.
I doubt it, I think the Foxhole community isn't large enough. But it would be greta to have it in Vortex, it is a great wy of delaing with your mods
Heresy!! 🙉

Is there any danger of getting banned for modifying the game?

I want to upvote, but it's at 69, and that's nice enough for me.
