seeing this live...words cant explain... the buildup to the end was heart racing and when she got to the "so if you care to find me,,," it was all over!! she KILLED it.
Was in second row, for every song she sang, you could watch her become the character, but it was most evident with this song. she popped her hands, and then became angry, great actress with an crazy good voice. AND a nice person to boot!
LOVE this!!!! She totally channeled back to the way she used to sing it when she was in the touring production, which I loved so much more than her Broadway run. I'm dying for her to return to the role.
Annaleigh's last show was probably the single best version of Defying Gravity I've ever heard but this blows even that out of the water! Stephanie is one of the few Elphaba's I would love to see rejoin a Wicked company (preferably West End, just so I could see her!!) This Defying Gravity is sheer perfection!
My only issue with Stephanie j blocks singing is that if I were to see her live I'd be scared that my eardrums would burst and I'd would be stuck in permanent ahh. She's is just too damn perfect !
I do! Julia's mic was distorted sounding all night. Kind of muffled. Not sure what the heck was going on with that, but I will post her singing "Popular" sometime today or tomorrow!
10th anniversary concert. Done. After this, there is no other option (in my opinion). If possible, she sounds even better than her touring and Broadway runs.
How could anyone possibly say Idina is better than this ....it's mind boggling to me.

Her CHANCE TO FLY all sang on the same note is one of those alterations that should be put into the score.

This is so epic I can hardly stand it. Do you happen to have Julia singing Popular? My aunt was at the concert and she filled me in. :P
And when Julia Murney takes a deviance from the score it pretty much means it's the real deal.
