    Hi Harry.
The best part of this video was you saying that over the years you have learned to relax and become more playful. As a photographers assistant, many moons ago, the uptight, insecure, pain in the ass photographers were a nightmare to have to spend time around. However, the relaxed, playful, openminded ones were a joy to spend time with for the clients and myself.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Brilliant. I had a friend that was a huge Radiohead fan and he lived in Oxford for a while. He once walked past Thom York in the street, and because he'd spent so much time looking at the Radiohead posters on his wall, instinctively said "Morning Thom" like he was saying hi to a colleague or friend. A few steps later, it hit him and he turned to see Thom scratching his head, trying to place who the random guy was, that acted so familiar.

There is more - extremely valuable - practical advice in this video regarding how to shoot musicians/bands than in any explicitly how-to video I have ever seen. And with my very favourite band. This is just brilliant--thanks so much for sharing! (I can see why Colin was so interested in your photographic work - since he's just released his own book of photos of the band. And he's always seemed like such a nice, down-to-earth bloke, too. As his response to the jacket incident demonstrates. What a cool guy!)

I have listened to Radiohead practically daily since I was 16, super envious you got to do this job, crazy that you got to photograph them before they really took off. The idea to have them take the photos at the end was also so fun and on their wavelength. As always thank you for sharing your stories!

Love the story of both shoots and jacket. Going to go out on a limb here and suggest that your videos should be curriculum material for any course that includes portrait photography. I don't give such a compliment lightly. There are many great portrait photographers out there who maintain an enigmatic presence and keep their approach and techniques closely guarded; but your management of ideas, design, composition, and most importantly; getting along with people (with a bit of added pleasant pushiness) is an inspiration.

I do remember how around 2003 I had an mp3 CD with several Radiohead's albums. It was the time when I started listening to their music more and more. The booklet that came with a CD was full of band photos. I still remember how I liked Colin's black leather jacket! I was looking for a same kind of jacket for years and found one online only this year haha.

Always been a huge fan of Radiohead’s visual artistry as much as their music. Stanley Donwood is one of my favourite artists as a result (similar thing going on with Underworld and their creative agency, tomato). Now I have another photographer I have actually loved since seeing your work in Select and really all over the UK music press in the 90s (I was addicted to music and computing magazines as a kid, they were my internet before the internet)
I gotta say I always love hearing these tales of Radiohead being amazingly nice people, they’ve definitely mellowed with age as well and I’m as happy for them as for those who have to deal with them day-to-day, haha! Sadly I’m a fan of some music made by slightly less nice, or should I be kind and say slightly more uncompromising, even those with allegations amongst them - the fact is, if one wants to be precious about the moral conduct of the people behind the music one listens to, then very few musical products will actually make the cut - particularly where classics are concerned. So yeah it’s ultra cool to hear of unbelievably huge artists who obviously express a lot of their own incompatibilities with our modern mores, but somehow manage to retain their compassionate kindness - as we all should. Ok shut up now Chris. Thanks for these videos.

While visiting a friend in Oxford we took a Sunday morning walk to a shop round the corner from their house. Tom York was walking towards us on the other side of the street. He looked very rough. Moments later walking out of the shop was comic and actor Rory Macgrath. He looked even more hungover. No camera on me at the time.
