Diane, I get sooooo much from your videos. You make things feel possible. I truly learn from you. I look forward to seeing you posted a new video. I want to thank you for your generosity. I truly appreciate you. I wish all good things, Tamatha (in the U.S.)
Amazing, i love painting landscapes, i am 61 now, started watercolor last year and i love it. I have a lot to learn and am enjoying your tutorials everday, thank you ❤
This is beautiful! You are out of your comfort zone and demonstrating your artistic skill. I like that you are featuring different artists and their books. There is so much to learn from so many different artists and styles.
I love the misty start to the painting, and then adding the details. The lilies look lovely sitting on the water, especially the highlights. I admire your courage to try something new, it just proves we're never too old to learn. 😊
Thank you so much for painting a landscape. From some of your prior comments it is not one of your favorite things to do. This one came out beautifully. I enjoyed your earlier landscape paintings in your lovely style. I have done several of them in my sketchbook.
Hi Barbara, I used to paint only landscapes, but the TH-cam channel requires me to do other things! Glad you enjoyed this one, following on with one of the new generation of “modern” watercolorists…
Thank you again for this landscape. I love how you tackle the pine trees and will have to watch you do more of them. I always look forward to any of your videos, but the landscapes are really just so much fun.
That turned out so lovely and rich in color. I love the orange brown bush/tree in the bottom corner the most. I feel like you could do any style of painting you wanted!
I finally got round to watching this one and wow! I'm not particularly a fan of painting landscape type pictures but this one turned out really well . . . . . especially considering you felt out of your comfort zone Diane! It's fabulous and I'm looking forward to giving this a go myself 🙂 X
Bravo! You did a great job on this landscape from my view. I was cheering for you when you had to do the lake and with the mirror images. 🙂 I am going to have to get my courage up to try this lol! Blessings
You said it’s not the way you normally paint and I know you’re right about that but looking at your painting one would never guess that to be true. This is beautiful!
Diane, do you ever get to have a hot cuppa? Lol Love the painting. Great job. Personally I liked it better before the reflection but I think you did a good job of capturing it.
This was a wonderful landscape! I recently saw Hannah on UTube and realized she is in Ohio not far from where I live. Thank you for sharing how to paint from book instructions and an inspirational photo. ❤
Diane you did a fabulous job of this painting, you made it look so easy. Anyway I decided to do it too, I cannot show you it’s the worst painting I have ever done, I know what went wrong I used the wrong size paper, mine was too big. Also by the time I got moving with my paint brush my paper had dried, I should have re-wet it but I carried on so it wasn’t wet in wet, anyway a disaster lol. Yours on the other hand was brilliant. I have to buy those acrylic markers, I cannot find the 60 one you got anymore, they only have the 48 ones, so,looks like I’ll have to have those. Thank you for your wonderful videos I love joining you each week, my most favoured TH-camr of all time.
What a lovely book, thank you for introducing it to us. I love how that painting came out and the colours, like the beginning of autumn. Also, haven’t heard the expression doolally for a very long time 😂
That is beautiful Diane 😊 I am going to watch again tomorrow and try to paint along with you, wish me luck, as I will need it 😅 And I doubt very much you are old enough to be Hannah's great grandma, unless she is about 5yrs old. Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Hi Diane 👋 I painted with you but I used a dyer. It turned out ok for mine but I thought yours was very good 👍. I hand the top didn't match with the bottom to much but oh well 🤷 I tried. I suppose you would have to practice doing this type of painting a lot. Lololol. It was fun though. Thanks 👍 😊 JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸.
You might say that this isn’t your forte however your fir trees are really beautiful! I love painting for trees and will use your tutorial as a great reference! 😁
Do you ever use a drop cloth when using acrylics , if when you use them anymore? Watched a program years ago where there were six people and each was given a name from the group of six and they had to give them a a gift of something they had sentimental value to. One was an artist and he cut up the drop cloth he had been using for years in the shape of a leaf. Such a beautiful present and not store bought . And it was giving something that had special meaning to you . Anyway - thought it was a beautiful idea. I am enjoying your videos thanks
I don’t remember saying that, but I might have said you could use gouache for the lily pads which I put on using acrylic markers so they stood out lighter than the water. Gouache would work too, I just had the markers in front of me so I chose them!
That palette is a work of art all by itself lol. I would have been tempted to take a 'print' from it, before starting to paint with the different colours. That is to say, for anyone not clear on what I mean, I would have lightly sprayed the palette, and then lightly press a piece of paper to pick up the random 'design'. I'm sure Diane would have been able to then work her magic and been left with something special.
@@DianeAntoneStudio I would love to see you do that. I don't often feel inspired by a dried up paint palette lol, but I thought yours looked so pretty just as it was!

This turned out so pretty. The wet on wet background colors bled so well and really made the foreground stand out!
Ooo I am looking forward to the cooling beauty autumn season leaves 🍁
