@@Dualspeedbattler1I would say v1 is more represented by violence than gluttony. Mainly because v1 only consumes blood out of self preservation. This is unlike how v1 commits violence since v1 will actively seek it out, even when it's not necessary. Like when v1 decided to finish off v2 when it could have left it alive and feed off its blood in future battles.
Ironically though, V1 doesn’t fit into any of the criteria for the violence layer. Violence against self? Obviously doesn’t do that. Violence against neighbours? He has none. Violence against nature, art, or god? Again, he’s done neither. God abandoned the angels, V1 killing them doesn’t qualify as violence against god. He effectively puts freewill and hell into question: how do you punish a living being for its destruction when it was built with destruction being its only source of sustenance? You can’t. It is unjust. Even the Minotaur, he never deserved to be stuck in the violence layer. He was a being wrought out of hell mass as a gift, and nothing more, then cast down into the labyrinth just because of his appearance. He can’t choose his appearance, he didn’t commit any sin, but there he wanders in the garden, yearning to see the sky for one last time. It is a horrible thing that was done against him, and is the one greatest showing of how freewill had failed in Ultrakill’s world.
A theory I have is the minotaur was created by the same person who wrote the book in 7-1. Both writings show an artistic appreciation for "death and despair". I also believe he will be the P-3 boss because it follows the trend of Prime souls getting more evil the lower they are. Minos fought for good, Sisyphus fought for what he wants, and the P-3 boss will fight for what is wrong, evil or "beautiful" in his eyes. (I also dont think the censored text is 'Hell Itself' but rather a king with a six letter name.)
According to my theory, layer 7 WAS a king. Because there is infrastructure and all that. But given that each king is getting worse and worse, the local ruler was so terrible that all mentions of him were erased, except for the description of the minotaur in the terminal. Perhaps he was a ferryman across the bloody river, which used to be at level 7-2, because it is ferrymen who are able to create demons, such as idols.
@morgannull4685 Is that not fighting for what he wants? He *wanted* to revel pointlessly fighting even if it meant overall causing more misery. I'd rephrase my comment to say Minos fought for justice, the opposite of what (I bet) the 3rd prime soul will fight for, leaving Sisyphus somewhere in the middle. Fighting for what he selfishly wants best fits that.
my current theory for the creator of the minotaur, which may be a stretch, is King Icarus, Most of this is coming from Icarus being referenced in Dantes Inferno (layer 8, fraud), as well as the Minotaur being placed in the Labyrinth of greek myth. Furthermore, Daedalus was Icarus' father. Daedalus made the Labyrinth. Besides that, it could be set up for the next Prime Soul, if it were to be Icarus Prime.

The blanked letters suggest that a king ordered the minotaur to be made(because its four first letters) in the myth of minotaur and minos, there is a time where the king of athens i think, king Aegius was forced to send a certain number of males and females to Crete, as "payment" to king minos for killing his son.On one of these years,Aegius was forced to send his son,Theseus,as payment along with the rest. The rest of the story isnt relevant to my theory but basically Theseus killed the Minotaur and exited the labyrinth with the help of a woman in Crete. Important part again,Aegius told Theseus that if he returns alive,to put white sails on his ship,if dead,to leave the already black sails. Theseus though forgot to change the sails, when his father saw the black sails from afar he was so saddened that he fell from the cliff into the Aegean sea (which got his name. Basically i have reasons to believe the blank name is Aegius, contrary to most saying Dedalus which isnt a king, only the constructor of the maze and father of Icarus...which died a stupid death lets be real.
i like to think that the mannequins either can not see (the person inside specifically) or can see, however, since the head is upside down, they see upside down
To add to the tragedy the Minotaur, even if it somehow made its way all the way back to earth out of hell to see the sky again, there wouldn't be a 'sky' anymore, the final war ended in the long night which blocked out the sun, while there was probably some attempt to clean it in the new peace (street cleaners were made to clean tainted air in cities originally), that clearly failed since mankind died, and as we can see in the background of the act 2 Gabe intermission, the earth is still covered in a layer of brown smog.
We can still see the sky, and (if I remember correctly) the terminal about earthmover mentioned that they did in fact fix the long night, that's why the earthmover (function by sunlight and blood) was able to function until they travel to hell (where's hell use some sort of alternative to keep them going)
@@Aeris052 no. Original Earthmovers all died during the Long Night. The ones in Hell are Hell's recreations. We know that Hell recreates stuff for tornment. It recreated Pyramids, Big Ben etc in Greed because they were monuments of mankind's greed. The mannequins are honestly a lot like V1. Fast, agile, and full of blood, but fragile. The only things the mannequins lack is the ability to repair themselves.
It has white boxes on who it was made by. It spells out, "HELL ITSELF" it is likely that he'll wanted to freak out minos because its just built like that
hell itself made the minotaur imo, well the demonic caricature of the original, trying to appeal to the judge which decides where the sinners it torments are sent to in a way it understands, i would say pasipha act of the white bull fits the bill of violence against god and nature tbh, beastiality falls under the layer in dantes inferno, honestly considering the whole story it only strengths my wish that daelus is p3 more, honestly could do a lot with the material... prehaps somehow even include talos in somehow too...
Good Theory! But I do have some problems with it. 1. Why would the Terminals censor it out? Last time I checked they didn't fear hell. 2. It wouldn't really match the theme for Greek prime bosses. 3. It needs to be a king.
@@hourglass2230 1. i dont think the terminals fear hell tbh, they both seek entertainment through the act of violence and i believe like how the pages of the book in 7-4 are blank, i believe hell is speaking through the minotaurs entry as it does start with "no data", idk its a bit iffy interpretation wise cause of it being in the 3rd person and the name being redacted, but it could still be being a tad coy with us still, though admittedly starting to let on to its sentient to v1 2. daedalus and talos are both greek though, admittedly i just want talos as sorta a boss that can be linked back to daedulus main story wise sorta like the inssurectionists and minos corpse with the other prime souls (plus yknow it would be cool as heck), ik it was a greek god who made talos but it could easily be altered with how inventive daedalus was, plus his inherent ties to king minos, minotaur wise and talos being made to guard crete during minos rule, it just sorta works 3. honestly this one is completely true, daedalus is not a king whatsoever, they could just not keep up the pattern this time or workshop some puedso reasoning for being a king in death or metaphorical, but thats way into just bullshiting a answer tbh, i just think its cool and would fit in all ways but that one, it is my one fatal flaw theory wise tbh

I love the theories folks! And If you want to guess here's the check list! -Has to be a Greek King. -Name has to be 6 letters. -It would have to make sense with the Minotaur. I wanna see some guesses.
Hello, Chroma Prime, I like watching your Ultrakill videos, especially those that touch on the lore of the game. I wanted to ask if I could translate some of your lore Ultrakill videos into Russian? I think the Russian-speaking audience will be interested in learning the lore of the game, because no one has ever made a video before me.
The minotaut feels like a human soul trapped inside a rock, like mannquins, due to it putting it's hand up when dying, like trying to send a message to heavens, to finally see the sky,
what if we actually fought the original minotaur in fraud and not some sort of sculpture, because according to the greek mythology Pasiphae (mother of minotaur) concealed herself inside a hollow wooden cow crafted by a craftsman known as Daedalus, in ultrakill we don`t fight a wooden cow but a bull sculpture that has flesh, i am assuming there`s a phase 2 of the fight.
According to Greek mythology, the Minotaur was created when a human was disguised in a bull costume (Made by Daedalus) and a bull had s*x, and the labyrinth is also made by Daedalus. So it think that prime boss 3 is definitely daedalus
The women who had intercourse was Minos' wife. She was cursed by gods (I don't remember which god specifically). That was one of the if not the main reasons why King Minos imprisoned the Minotaur to the labyrinth made by Deadalus who also agreed to help Minos' wife disguise as a cow and thus resulting him being punished.
Well yeah but Ultrakill is only very loosely based on both Dante’s inferno and Greek mythology Minos and Sisyphus are specifically the opposite of how they were portrayed in the source material, with Minos being a beloved king and Sisyphus enjoying his pointless task I feel like the p-3 boss could be nearly anything with how loosely the source material is connected Daedalus is definitely a strong candidate though
Hmmm all the demons have statue styled designs with fleshly insides. Maybe there's someone in hell who crafts the demon's base designs, not counting the Leviathan maybe?
Hey, could you add a music used section to the desc to these lore vids? it'd help me out alot, as i have a phobia of certain music, so i can not really watch these without assuring what music is used
Tho it's not 100% confirmed, I and many peeps seem to believe that HELL ITSELF created the Minotaur due to some connections and implications we got about the sentience of Hell (also the fact that if fits perfectly in the censored text) Hell as an entity fully embodies the role it was created for, to torment and punish the sinners and it considers it's work both entertainment and an artform. It even admires the cruelty of humanity and takes inspiration from them, with the Gutterman and the Earthmovers being examples But here's the thing about Hell, the game makes every being in the game known except Hell itself. We only ever known about Hell's sentience due to an ARG, which had to be deciphered to even find that out, meaning Hell deliberately makes it's influence a secret With this in mind, it would make sense it wouldn't make itself known and would make the creator of the Minotaur vague. Also why would it even gift Minos the Minotaur? Simple, Minos before Gabriel came into the picture was the only one bringing in sinners into its many layers, it most likely took it's victims as gifts, so in the only way it knew how, created the Minotaur as a sorta way to connect to the one who gives it new playthings. Of course it's form of expression is morbid and ungodly but that's all Hell could ever be Tho I could be wrong, I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that a king is hidden behind that censored text. I don't understand why their info would be censored like that when everything else INCLUDING the other kings is out in the open like that. Also Gabriel often had connections with the layers of who's king had influence over but we've gotten none of that for this Layer. Maybe in Fraud we'll get something like that but for now I don't think this layer has a king
I like the suggestion that ▪️▪️▪️▪️ ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ may spell out “Hell itself”, it would make sense since hell would see a monument of violence as beautiful. And it would also leave the Prime soul debate up in the air even further then it already is.
Since, in hell, beings crave death, violence can be seen as a form of sex. As humans, we desire sex out of the ultimate will to procreate. However, in hell it is the opposite. What beings crave most is to end life, not create it. And as sex is a celebration of life and its creation, violence is a celebration of death and its finality. This, I believe, adds another _layer_ to the erotica of this stage. Furthermore, the lore passage reads like a carnival flyer as it invites the reader to “bear witness” and announces the violence therein to be an act of worship. Many, especially existentialists, have described war as an orgiastic, phallic ritual in worship of the “death impulse”. When the world loses meaning, death becomes something we crave. When god feels absent, our own desire to fill the role of god overtakes us. There is nothing more divine than the power to take life. And so war takes shape. Many soldiers who’ve experienced combat Report getting erections while under fire and engaging in killing. This trauma persists long after they are discharged from the military. A deeply disturbing implication into the psycho spiritual connection we humans have with violence.
I thinl that censored name could be King Nimrod(who was the king who made the tower of Babel trying to reach heaven but god punished the whole heart by creating languages) and also Violence is the only layer where we see texts in other languages like possibly greek in 7-3 and japanese in 7-4, also king nimrod was also known to be a hunter so maybe he more like captured the Minotaur to give it back to Minos
I think everyone is tweaking. The creator of the Minotaur is most likely NOT the next prime sanctum boss. If hakita wanted to hint at that, the first word ‘king’ would’ve already been revealed. The name probably wasn’t relevant so hakita blacked it out
People who are saying hell could have only created need to call back to the idol. That’s a ferryman creation, simply a failed combination of hell mass given compassion. The molding of hell mass is shown to be possible by sentient beings so it could be anyone.
It has to be king icarus/icarus prime. While king nimrod or hell itself works those are stupid guesses. Yes hell is seemingly alive but a person makes more sense
@@engineergaming1669 Hell attempt of a gift ended up being so fucked up it got sent to Violence, that fits given that Hell is a being of unending Torture his interpretation of a gift is a reminder of your past given flesh
For something to be a prime boss their role must allow them to die and the story after can still go on. You can avoid Minos and Sisyphus through the whole game and they'll not wake up. Or you kill them and they don't appear again. So if you kill hell itself then what's next? Does the game just ends right there because there's nothing else
Just because a 3rd ruler hasn't been revealed doesn't mean they won't ever appear. It also doesn't mean Hell is the only contestant. Minos was only revealed in the 2nd layer of Act 1 so who's to say the Prime Soul won't be revealed in the 2nd layer of Act 3

Those brown smokes seems to just be clouds, you can still see stars in the sky
We can still see the sky, and (if I remember correctly) the terminal about earthmover mentioned that they did in fact fix the long night, that's why the earthmover (function by sunlight and blood) was able to function until they travel to hell (where's hell use some sort of alternative to keep them going)
Minotaur never was on earth, the Sky is probably the Lust sky
@@Aeris052 no. Original Earthmovers all died during the Long Night. The ones in Hell are Hell's recreations.
We know that Hell recreates stuff for tornment. It recreated Pyramids, Big Ben etc in Greed because they were monuments of mankind's greed. So It likely recreated Earthmovers for the 3rd circle of Violence, because you know, a machine that destroyed all flora and fauna is a violence against nature.

It make sense because we have learned from the terminals that hell is alive.
Nice job dude!
Oh, your approaching me, V1
The mannequins don’t seem to breathe out. It’s upsetting to imagine what happened to their bodies to make breathing in necessary but not breathing out
The mannequins are honestly a lot like V1. Fast, agile, and full of blood, but fragile. The only things the mannequins lack is the ability to repair themselves.
It has white boxes on who it was made by. It spells out, "HELL ITSELF" it is likely that he'll wanted to freak out minos because its just built like that
the thumbnail art is so good
hell itself made the minotaur imo, well the demonic caricature of the original, trying to appeal to the judge which decides where the sinners it torments are sent to in a way it understands,
i would say pasipha act of the white bull fits the bill of violence against god and nature tbh, beastiality falls under the layer in dantes inferno, honestly considering the whole story it only strengths my wish that daelus is p3 more, honestly could do a lot with the material... prehaps somehow even include talos in somehow too...
Surprisingly enough, "Hell Itself" fits the blanks perfectly
@@kamiwriterleonardo6345that is my new theory
Good Theory! But I do have some problems with it.
1. Why would the Terminals censor it out? Last time I checked they didn't fear hell.
2. It wouldn't really match the theme for Greek prime bosses.
3. It needs to be a king.
@@hourglass2230
1. i dont think the terminals fear hell tbh, they both seek entertainment through the act of violence and i believe like how the pages of the book in 7-4 are blank, i believe hell is speaking through the minotaurs entry as it does start with "no data", idk its a bit iffy interpretation wise cause of it being in the 3rd person and the name being redacted, but it could still be being a tad coy with us still, though admittedly starting to let on to its sentient to v1
2. daedalus and talos are both greek though, admittedly i just want talos as sorta a boss that can be linked back to daedulus main story wise sorta like the inssurectionists and minos corpse with the other prime souls (plus yknow it would be cool as heck), ik it was a greek god who made talos but it could easily be altered with how inventive daedalus was, plus his inherent ties to king minos, minotaur wise and talos being made to guard crete during minos rule, it just sorta works
3. honestly this one is completely true, daedalus is not a king whatsoever, they could just not keep up the pattern this time or workshop some puedso reasoning for being a king in death or metaphorical, but thats way into just bullshiting a answer tbh, i just think its cool and would fit in all ways but that one, it is my one fatal flaw theory wise tbh

Theguy whi made the minotaur is most definitely Daedalus , he made the labyrinth the minotaur was thrown into and he made a bull tatu for the queen that was h@rny for a bull (long story) so tgat she can sit in it and do you now what with it , so he is the most logical answer
Maybe the wife of King Minos, Pasiphaë, was involved with the Minotaur‘s creation.
Thanks, now i cant sleep
For me it could be deadalus because well he was the one who made the minotaur in mythology
I love the theories folks! And If you want to guess here's the check list!
-Has to be a Greek King.
-Name has to be 6 letters.
-It would have to make sense with the Minotaur.
I wanna see some guesses.
Bruh, now I gotta p-rank THIS???
Hello, Chroma Prime, I like watching your Ultrakill videos, especially those that touch on the lore of the game. I wanted to ask if I could translate some of your lore Ultrakill videos into Russian? I think the Russian-speaking audience will be interested in learning the lore of the game, because no one has ever made a video before me.
Ну надеюсь у тебя получится, я впринципе понимаю английский и сам не из России, но как свой основной язык использую русский
Удачи тебе
The minotaut feels like a human soul trapped inside a rock, like mannquins, due to it putting it's hand up when dying, like trying to send a message to heavens, to finally see the sky,
when you kill the minotaur it reaches up to the sky....
what if we actually fought the original minotaur in fraud and not some sort of sculpture, because according to the greek mythology Pasiphae (mother of minotaur) concealed herself inside a hollow wooden cow crafted by a craftsman known as Daedalus, in ultrakill we don`t fight a wooden cow but a bull sculpture that has flesh, i am assuming there`s a phase 2 of the fight.
You fight the minotaur in voilence. And yes it has 2 phases. Phase 1 on some carts and phase 2 in the final room of the level.
@@thelettera582 the god was poseidon.
Well yeah but Ultrakill is only very loosely based on both Dante’s inferno and Greek mythology
Minos and Sisyphus are specifically the opposite of how they were portrayed in the source material, with Minos being a beloved king and Sisyphus enjoying his pointless task
I feel like the p-3 boss could be nearly anything with how loosely the source material is connected
Daedalus is definitely a strong candidate though
But Daedalus is 8 letters and 1 word

minotaur was 100% made by hell itself no doubt
Hmmm all the demons have statue styled designs with fleshly insides. Maybe there's someone in hell who crafts the demon's base designs, not counting the Leviathan maybe?
my theory is that minos had a creation from which he called it a son... who was minotaur all along!

Tho it's not 100% confirmed, I and many peeps seem to believe that HELL ITSELF created the Minotaur due to some connections and implications we got about the sentience of Hell (also the fact that if fits perfectly in the censored text)
Hell as an entity fully embodies the role it was created for, to torment and punish the sinners and it considers it's work both entertainment and an artform. It even admires the cruelty of humanity and takes inspiration from them, with the Gutterman and the Earthmovers being examples
But here's the thing about Hell, the game makes every being in the game known except Hell itself. We only ever known about Hell's sentience due to an ARG, which had to be deciphered to even find that out, meaning Hell deliberately makes it's influence a secret
With this in mind, it would make sense it wouldn't make itself known and would make the creator of the Minotaur vague. Of course it's form of expression is morbid and ungodly but that's all Hell could ever be
Tho I could be wrong, I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that a king is hidden behind that censored text. I don't understand why their info would be censored like that when everything else INCLUDING the other kings is out in the open like that. Also Gabriel often had connections with the layers of who's king had influence over but we've gotten none of that for this Layer. Maybe in Fraud we'll get something like that but for now I don't think this layer has a king
many may feel hate for the minotaur, me?
I find it cute, but in a painful existence
it is adorable and lovable, i don't want to hurt it
it is adorable and lovable, i don't want to hurt it
i feel bad killing the minotaur
I like the suggestion that
▪️▪️▪️▪️ ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️ may spell out “Hell itself”, it would make sense since hell would see a monument of violence as beautiful.
Why is minotaur name crossed tho
Four letters and six letters
"Hell itself"
“Your Mother”
Arsi Patala
I thinl that censored name could be King Nimrod(who was the king who made the tower of Babel trying to reach heaven but god punished the whole heart by creating languages) and also Violence is the only layer where we see texts in other languages like possibly greek in 7-3 and japanese in 7-4, also king nimrod was also known to be a hunter so maybe he more like captured the Minotaur to give it back to Minos
damn nice idea. though the Japanese and German texts on the robots are because they're human made I think.
I think everyone is tweaking. The creator of the Minotaur is most likely NOT the next prime sanctum boss. If hakita wanted to hint at that, the first word ‘king’ would’ve already been revealed.
The name probably wasn’t relevant so hakita blacked it out
The blurred out name in Minotaur's entry might be "KIng Daedalus (the real creator of the minotaur in greek mythology)" or "Arsi Patala" by peoples
Name doesnt fit the squares
People who are saying hell could have only created need to call back to the idol. That’s a ferryman creation, simply a failed combination of hell mass given compassion. The molding of hell mass is shown to be possible by sentient beings so it could be anyone.
Make a video about proof, confirming that V1 was designed to counter Earthmovers
It has to be king icarus/icarus prime. While king nimrod or hell itself works those are stupid guesses. Yes hell is seemingly alive but a person makes more sense
Hell makes just as much sense as any other prime soul guesses
@@tuvergalarga6144I don’t think hell would give a physical gift to anyone, the only thing it could possibly see as a gift is death
@@engineergaming1669 Hell attempt of a gift ended up being so fucked up it got sent to Violence, that fits given that Hell is a being of unending Torture his interpretation of a gift is a reminder of your past given flesh
I think for P-3 we are going to be fighting Hell Itself because no third ruler has been mentioned so far.
For something to be a prime boss their role must allow them to die and the story after can still go on. You can avoid Minos and Sisyphus through the whole game and they'll not wake up. Or you kill them and they don't appear again. So if you kill hell itself then what's next? Does the game just ends right there because there's nothing else
The minotaur creator was very likely Hell
But that doesnt mean it will be p3 we still have fraud to build up a prime soul
Just because a 3rd ruler hasn't been revealed doesn't mean they won't ever appear. It also doesn't mean Hell is the only contestant. Minos was only revealed in the 2nd layer of Act 1 so who's to say the Prime Soul won't be revealed in the 2nd layer of Act 3
I mean Lucifier was mentioned in one of the testaments so maybe they will build on them being cast into hell
