Back in 2014 and 2015, this tank actually used to be pretty solid. It had decent armor, a decent gun, and phenomenal top speed for a heavy. Basically, it was the Chinese IS-3, and it did well for my games. Sadly, the powercreep hit the Type 110 hard... I'd say worse than most, and it was left in the dust for a criminally long time. Glad to see it getting some love by the devs and CCs like Skill!
What pisses me off is when people expect that because your a bottom tier heavy tank you should just charge in and die - there is nothing wrong with staying back and not being farmed.
Couple of weeks ago, I was Pro46 in a tier 9-heavy game. Naturally, I decided to take support role rather than being front man (and did it very well, ended up as top damage and top exp). However, some of the tier 9 medss were unhappy about it. they died fast, which was not unexpected as I saw their disposition - charging immediately against unspotted enemy with unsecured flank. Whole team died leaving just myself and one tier 9 light. The Light, which was platooned with one of that Med, was still unhappy that I did not die in the first min in the yolo charge. What he did - I reversed out from hard cover, emptied two shells removing one enemy med, then I started to move forward to back into cover to reload the two shells before the other tanks can shoot me. However, our light intentionally rammed into my front at full speed to prevent me from going forward into cover. I died, naturally; could have utilized another full clip otherwise. Reported to WOT Support with replay video. The Light and his platoon mates have good stats, yet......
People expect lot of thing until they play it themself....
When a useless player tell you that you fo nothing, but after the fight you look at score and you have top dmg with 3k and you look at the whiner and he have 390 dmg .... Sure i will take your advice.... Mtf
If I'd pulled a flanking move like Skill did in the first game I'd have been dead before I got half way!
It has almost 3k dpm on tier 8 lol. It is definitively not a weak tank
I was waiting for this review haha. 110 is my favourite tier 8 tech tree tank and the tank that made me grind all Chinese tech tree. Been a pleasure seeing you play it!

Played this tank back in the day , wasn't bad and kinda enjoyed it . Poor mans IS3 back then ( hadn't got the troll IS3 front armor or the higher alpha IS3 gun ) . Used to take it to the medium lines in a match when there was to many +2 heavies 👍

The 110 has been my best kept secret for so long. I accidentally got a mark on it while grinding for 5a, ended up keeping it and marking it all the way after I was done with it. That gun is sex. 3k dam at tier 8 is crazy.
3k alpha at tier 8? Sounds like some sort of upcoming new tier 8 premium tank. Most likely gambling included too.

I came back on world of tanks after over a year long break. I remember trying to play Chinese heavy line and got to the 110 and after few games left the game for a while. Now I kinda want to see if it would work better. I would like to see more 111 1-5 and 111 5a gameplays.
I loved the 110 when I was climbing the Chinese tree many many years ago.

4:00 the prime example for how "amazing" arty is for punishing you nasty camper. And it´s totally not punishing the one that makes a move.
I have been playing it for last week i have the mid tier weapon only works in short distances and very low shell velocity but the hard shots are always hiting xD and the easy ones i almost hit my pc with my head, this tank is for the braves xD
Admittedly it's been a while since I've played the game actively, but going back a couple of years this was probably my favourite tier 8 heavy. It's the only one that seemed to just click with me at a high level, even more than the IS-3.

Do you also use that warpack mod pack yourself, which is still allowed for eu players if you are really bad or pretend to be a bad player ??
The only problem would be the alpha though. For a tank that kinda look like IS-3 people expected the 390 or something.

For me 110 was better thank than IS3, when is3 was a behemoth... meny years ago... armor works better but only frontally
had the same feeling but since WG changed armor schemes this tank became terrible.
For me too. 110 was my choice for those "clan battles" 10 years ago. I might remember wrong, but WG nerfed 110 by making lower plate much bigger than what it used to be. Maybe they were afraid about 110 would become more popular than IS-3.
110 is actually pretty good, after the buff I average 60% win rate and grind out the t9
maybe we don't say enough how great a player Skill is, with him all tanks are good even bad ones

Good accuracy, good armor frontally, good dpm, high amount of hitpoints and good APCR. I would not rate it bad at all today (imo a lot better then 112 for example)

27:24 I struggle to get an enemy under my reticle. For Skill, they just magically appear there.
I really love this tank, just like how I loved the KV-4, IS-4, tiger P and vk45.02 before the buffs.
It's a charming tank, with a good feel to it when it works, but it's more frustrating than it should be given how it performs.

I'm sorry baboon lord, I must disagree. While the armor is kind of meh, it's not completely unusable.
The gun however feels amazing. Very accurate with decent alpha and really good dpm. It can shred other heavies, especially if you manage a bounce or 2 in a fight with them.

Well what can u say... frontally mounted Fuel tanks are a classic problem/weakspot for chinese vehicles and it is a sadness that wg still refuses to fix these issues after all these years, so this vehicles still stays as a stinker that will be avoided by the majority of players and it will still be kind of irrelevant even after the buffs...

it's not meant to be racist, it's just a joke about products mass produced in China of low quality (Ali Express, Wish etc)
This tank made me forget how to play, it was such a terrible tank, until I unlocked that amazing last gun... The tank is a tank that makes you hate the game when it has that shitty gun with a premium shell velocity of 640 m/s, you will take a lot of damage, you will be among the first to die in some matches, but when you unlock the last gun it will turn into a completely different tank.
