now these are great roads ! i am fascinated by New Zeland and this video reminds me of Test Drive Unlimited please do not stop great work ! Enjoyed every second of it
Awesome idea for a video. However I’m surprised you didn’t include Grays Road which goes from Camborne to pauatahanui. Used to love blasting my DC5 around there. Couple of long straights and heaps of turns
Yeah I considered that... Trouble is the speed limit is like 40 or 50 now I think. And it's quite busy. I went and drove it and thought it was a bit average. Paekak hill road is much better
Great vid. Have drive more than half of these and agree with all. Alexandra road is also used as a hillclimb by the Wellington Car Club if you really want to do it with some venom!
Great video! Will have to try some of those out when in Wellington next! Been able to find a few fun ones around Auckland but keen to see a few others now
Yesterday I took my Sti for a shakedown after its latest tune on Wainui coast road. Great road and not much traffic even at mid day. Never done Blue mountains or moonshine loops tho. They are next I think haha. Middleton road is a very often one for me, love that road between Churton and Tawa.
@@yash._rr There’s a fair few good ones down Kawakawa Bay and Clevedon way. As well as the old highway from Long bay - Silverdale is a great drive + Silverdale to Helensville.
I live on moonshine road and sure do like hooning on my way home from work at night but especially in the day time do be careful because it is rather skinny and not much room for error.
Driven on pretty much all of them back in the day and my fav is the Remutaka hill. Moonshine loop is pretty good too, had a pretty quick drive through there one evening, pulled up at a girls house to take her to a party and my brakes were glowing like the sun lol.
We couldn't believe how confident you were taking the cn1 up onslow road that fast at night. But I suppose you had practice while for chris and I it was a first. Definitely a surprisingly fun road you wouldn't expect.
I wish we had roads like this in Victoria, the closest one we have to this in victoria is mount macedon, but even that looks like a field of dry Australian grass.
Road to castle point is one of my faves for the longer ones !
Yeah that's a bit out of Welly tho
I can agree all of these roads are awesome and frequently drive most of them this is the videos we need keep it up mate ! Love it
Nice!

@@KiwiCarLife oh bugger. Didn’t realise it had dropped. Used to be 100 back in the day and they dropped to 80
@@roge172 yeah pretty sure it's 50 now haha. Absolutely insane
Some really good Wairarapa back roads too, cant remember all the names but had some very fast and fun drives out that way!
Yeahh that's technically not Wellington so I didn't put it in but agree some excellent roads down there
@@KiwiCarLife True that mate, well that can be a whole other vid!

Yes! Been to watch the Alexandra road hillclimb before. Hayden paddon hooned up there while I watched
Very insightful video. Gotta check some of these out if I come down.
Would recommend!
Great video! Would of been perfect when I was staying at Trentham for a few days haha.
Oh yeah man there's some great options around
Great video! Will have to try some of those out when in Wellington next! Been able to find a few fun ones around Auckland but keen to see a few others now
Nice! Would recommend
Man, I wish I lived as near as you do to good roads. I have to drive an over an hr minimum just to get to a half-decent road, 2 hrs for a great road 😭
Bother yeah I guess that is one nice thing about NZ is that there's plenty of great fun roads just 10-20 mins away

Yeah man they're all good ones aye
Coast Road Wainuiomata is featured on Gran Turismo sport (Ps4) pretty hard case.
Is it? Dang that's cool haha
can you do one for auckland next time ur here?
That would be a good idea!
@@KiwiCarLife looking forward to it, would love to learn about other roads available besides piha which I've been going to for a few months.
@@yash._rr yeah that's a classic. Will have to ask the locals...

Hahahaha awesome bro bet she would have been terrified 🤣
@@KiwiCarLife Yeah she was like wtf! lol
Nice, will be sure to check out this video again if I vist NZ again.
Only problem is that now all the coppers know where to find you 🤣🤣
Haha thankfully most of these roads are pretty deserted

Haha yeah it's good aye - it drove almost identical to my accord so was pretty familiar with the handling thankfully
used to live in wellington but now live in christchurch. I miss the hills haha
Yeah hills always make for good roads huh
dont miss the wind tho lmao
I wish we had roads like this in Victoria, the closest one we have to this in victoria is mount macedon, but even that looks like a field of dry Australian grass.
Haha yeahh and then there's the war on speed over there too...
@kiwicarlife thats the thing about australia, its more about speed, my uncle raced a wrx in his vl turbo and reached 200kmh in it lmao.
Try the Euroa-Mansfield road
We do, Reefton Spur, black spur, Lake mountain just to name a few from many.
Basically all the targa rally high country roads.
