I’m Māori n my whanau moved there from Whakatane. After 5 years we went back to the B.O.P. Going to primary school there I didn’t see much crime. I could walk for miles because home was boring. I would walk every where on my own n I was only 8. But times must’ve changed. But yr right, it is a small city compared to other cities in the world. And it did feel dirty and old to me. I’m glad we went back to Whakatane
Great video and totally agree on every point. Spent four years living and working there and found it to be hugely overrated and couldn't believe how many people were on meth from tradie's all the way up to the Exec's. Very strange place, I guess some people like it but I've been to far more upbeat, vibrant and progressive places, even within NZ.
I've lived in Wellington 22 years and never known heard or seen anyone on meth. My family and I never been burgled assaulted. The only two crimes we experienced were my son's car broken into, and may daughter's car, left overnight, being set on fire by kids. I used to live in Auckland and fine Wellington a far nicer town. Although I've noticed an increase in homeless people, and been approached beggars in the streets that never happened 20 years ago. But surely that happens in Auckland?
Bro you have not seen crime if you think wellington is bad for crime. Try london
I lived in wellington for my life and the wind is fine you just need to toughen up. 30 years and I have never got muged once
Don’t come to New Zealand in general, there’s not enough houses here lol
Me watching this as an American from Seattle thinking about relocating to Wellington: 😆😆😆

"random weird people" on the street. I think thats called diversity and its awesome
aight ahah
South auckland is worse for crime trust me
Loved Welly, but the "impending" earthquake deterred us...
Hey could you please tell where to look up the accomodation if you shifting from auckland!
hmm I think the best place is Facebook
theres a page called
'Vic Deals'
or
facebook.com/groups/122916918421650
aint no way wellington is the windiest city in the world and Auckland is more expensive than wellington by far
Aight
It is the windiest city in the world and it is more expensive than Auckland. The amount you pay for what you get is bs.
Auckland is the worst city
@@nziwikiwi4020 why would you say that?
I lived in Wellington all my life and definitely cheaper than Auckland now that I live in Auckland
that’s crazy i’ve lived in Los Angeles my whole life and was considering victoria university for uni. i cant even imagine what the weather is like !
yeah i mean you could probably get used to it but definitely very different to LA
I'd recommend Victoria, that's where I discovered Heroin!
Lol compared to hurricane alley in the states? NZ has better weather than our aussie neighbours. Sorry neighbour, lol
@@ValHemi265 I'm not from there though, I'm from an area that almost never rains and there is almost no wind.
I can totally relate. Moving to Auckland soon 🙌👍🏼
Solid advice from a solid jafa 😉
Keep being the realest 🤙
aw man btw the weather is so true lol (its bc i live there)
