Big Anchieta's Cobra removed from porch

The SON team received a call-out for a big Anchieta's Cobra that was on a lady's porch, hiding under a box. The team came to assist and quickly and safely removed the snake.
This video clearly shows that a snakes first response is to try and move away, not attack or bite as a lot of people tend believe.
It also shows that catching snakes is not as dramatic as most people and shows make it out to be. It also shows that one can safely catch a snake without grabbing it behind the head. the necking method is mostly just used to increase the dramatics for more views. It is not safe for both the snake and the handler. Members of the SON team only uses the necking method when there is no other option. we do not want to risk our safety for social media views. Our channel is about educating people and creating awareness, as well as showing people that there is a safer way to catch snakes.

Yeah 99% of the call outs are like this. It’s not really as hectic as some TH-cam channels or TV shows make them out to be. It’s best to be calm when working with dangerous snakes
