I do not have the kind of doll you are displaying here but your advice is sound for all types. I am also someone who handles my dolls a lot. I like sewing them new dresses and changing their outfits. Today I even took my new Blythe doll on a coffee run and put a sweater on her to ward off the chill of the morning. Thank you as always for your inspirational advice and insight!
WoW! I am so happy to have found your channel. I collect Monster High and other monster/fantasy dolls and recently I became interested in Blythe and Pullip dolls and somehow wound up here after finding out about the Popovy Sisters beautiful dolls.I love your helpful videos and easy going personality. Good fun!
I love this in depth popovy content 💖 I doubt I'd ever own one but they are really gorgeous and fascinating so it's cool to learn more about them, especially from people who own them to enjoy them just as they would any other BJD, such as getting them blank for the purpose of customizing them with different faceups and wigs and clothes, and openly talk about what it's like to handle them and change them up!
I'm glad you're enjoying it, I like to enjoy all my dolls so I don't put any of them on a pedestal so go speak without touching them. Thank you so much for watching 💜
Awww awesomeness!!! I’m going to be a hands on collector. Thank you so much for this video. I’m glad that you mentioned their playability because there are so many cute outfits for them. As far as the slight peeling is concerned, is there a way to replace their matting? 🤔 That is something I’ll investigate. Lol However, it won’t bother me because you have explained the reasoning behind it. Now I’ll watch these on repeat until she arrives.😳😂🥰👏🏽❤️
LOL!! I don't think you can re-seal the doll without completely removing all the old paint and sealant and redoing the whole thing. But you can also always just do mani-pedi and face-up, so the whole body isn't blushed and sealed if you wanted 😘
Good for you! Well said girl! It is personal preference and ye, these dollars can be an investment, but I love how you state, your preference is to enjoy them by handling them any way you want! Face ups can be done periodically anyway and a great way to refresh or even get a whole new doll in the future! I keeps our dill artists employed and so it is definitely a win, win situation! 👏 😉🥰
I personally never leave my BJD with dark clothes or dark wigs on for any length of time, colour migration happens a lot with resin and removing it is always problematic ,damaging faceups and body blushing. I try to have a lovely pale coloured outfit for all my dolls to lounge around in and if I don’t have a light wig they go bald in between play sessions. I also like to play with my dolls but seeing staining always saddens me.
I am subscribed to nearly 60 different youtube channels and you continue to be one of my favourites. Your videos just make me so happy :)
Awww thank you so much!!! I love sharing Doll Love with the world and it means so much to me that other people love dolls as much as me 💜💜
