Thanks Dan! Ah unfortunately I have not reviewed the D7 I can't compare them but for the most part the higher models add additional bi-directional capabilities. And if I do add a D7 review at some point I will update this comment for you. Cheers!
Hi Homy VIRGIL! While the IP616 does have key programming support, the best way to confirm if the scanner can do the function you need is to check with Xtool (they accept VIN numbers) so they can check and confirm if the scanner will support it or suggest if a different tool model is needed. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Stevo! Ah yes this scanner can active certain components, you can see what modules are supported around the 3:20 mark. The other place where you could potentially find component activation would be under Diagnostics (manual or Auto) shown around the 6:05 mark. And Xtool also accepts VIN #'s if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need. Cheers!
Hi Valerio! a yes so no far no issues, so as you can imagine I'm super excited to have the ability to add keys at this price point, I'm currently working on the video showing this function in more detail. Stay tuned, Cheers!
Hi car remote! Xtool accepts Vin numbers, which is the best way to confirm if the scanner can do the function you need, they can check and confirm if the scanner will support it or suggest if a different tool model is needed. Hope this helps, Cheers!
I just purchased one, and the software looks updated so my Home Screen looks different. It is running android 10 now. Have you updated yours, does your Home Screen look different now?
Hi inshannahforyuh! Ah yes good eye, the new ones shipping out are now running Android 10! That is one of the thing I like about this scanners, they just keep updating them so they keeping getting better overtime. Cheers!
Thanks Suzanne! Regarding the free updates, nope I don't have additional information besides that they are free LOL Some basic tools offer this so it's not rare but it is rare once you start getting closer to a bi-directional tool. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Great review! With the discount code and the 20% coupon running right now, I just picked it up for $284 including tax! Lifetime updates are worth that alone. This will be my baby scanner but the only one that's kept updated. Not so sure the lifetime updates are only for a limited time because it's written on the box but who else is offering that for a fairly good scanner?
Can this tool do some programming? Like i want to remove some default settings on my ford. Removing startstop feature, remove honking when i leave the car running and the keys are in my pocket?
Hi LazyQ8i! You can see the programming service functions included at the 3:20 mark. However Xtool also accepts Vin numbers, so they can check the specific feature you need and confirm if the scanner will support it or suggest if a different tool model is needed. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi car remote! Have you contacted Xtool for help? they may be able to walk you thru some trouble shooting steps (I'm not sure what you mean by "special system", but I so have more tutorial videos coming for this tool for both for beginners and advanced users, stay tuned) Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@carremote8651 Hi car remote! Ah I got you, you mean the Special Function menu. I would check that the tool is fully updated. Also I recommend contacting Xtool for help (there are 5 communication protocols for gear box match to select from) they may be able to walk you thru some trouble shooting steps and correct protocol to use or they may be able to use the remote control option to walk you thru the feature you need. Hope this helps, Cheers!
A little expensive with only 32GB (OS uses around 16-20 GB and the Xtool software another 11 GB with all updates. The Xtool M30 may be the best deal as it is wireless (BT), uses the same software and works with your Android or IPhone.
Hi pepeshopping! that is strange, I would recommend you contact Xtool there may an issue with your IP616. Mine is fully updated and it still has 11.15 GB of space free on the 23GB partition and another 1.5GB free on the 2GB partition. But I yeah I will take a look at the M30, I have several more scanner reviews coming may have to add it to the list. Cheers!
Hi M! Not necessarily, remember the OBD2 port became mandatory in the USA in 1996 but it was already in use by several manufacturers by then (depending on model and region of the vehicles manufacture). Now if you are looking to diagnose vehicles that predate the OBD2 Port (the IP616 is an OBD2 scanner not an OBD scanner) then you will want a scanner with OBD support, like this one th-cam.com/video/9qwJlUEWN9A/w-d-xo.html or this one th-cam.com/video/G1df-U6CW5A/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Great video, I've had mine for about a year and it helped diagnose problems on my cars
@Jim-re3sr Thank you Jim! Yeah it's definitely a very capable scanner, Cheers!
How to program key fob ?
Hi Aziz! Key Fob Programming is normally done with the "Key Programming" function (under special functions as shown in the video), Cheers!
let me know how i works on a 2010-2016 jeep jk if you get one in. thx bob
i wish there will be a comparison video between X100pad3 and D8, thank you!
Great video. What would be the main difference between this scanner and the D7? Thanks.
Thanks Dan! Ah unfortunately I have not reviewed the D7 I can't compare them but for the most part the higher models add additional bi-directional capabilities. And if I do add a D7 review at some point I will update this comment for you. Cheers!
How do you perform tmps relearn?
is this supporting Live data function ?
Hi Gaadi! Correct, it supports Live Data as shown around the 5:00 mark. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi, how i can use it (IP616) to program additional key on 2004 Mitsubishi endeavor?
Thanks for your help

Please does it do active test on actuators? On modules

Wonderful video just curious is a better than the launch x431 product you had with the key coding issues ?

Do you have any idea of what X-Tool means by limited lifetime updates?
Thanks Suzanne! Regarding the free updates, nope I don't have additional information besides that they are free LOL Some basic tools offer this so it's not rare but it is rare once you start getting closer to a bi-directional tool. Hope this helps, Cheers!
They mean lifetime updates as features and fixes are added, and as new years of vehicles come out

M30 not cheap either, I got a ELM 327 mini for $12, and a paid version of Car Scanner app, altogether about $25, good enough for personal use.
@@843idfa Hi Dragon! yeah I got an ELM327 adapter also (Panlong) and it's definitely great bang for the buck. Cheers!
