@@doggosho3044 pretty sure the distribution studio for Covenant basically said they're putting the brakes on further Alien movies since Covenant underperformed so massively.
I like the theory that David was working from a blueprint, gives the Xenomorphs more of an “ancient abomination” feeling and makes the Engineers seem like some Eldritch race
Which is actually the idea. A lot of people assumed it was the xenomorph's origins when really we see in Prometheus ancient statues depicting the xenomorph we know and love. Honestly cool idea of xenomorphs being this perfected possibly artificial species that dates millennia back after having been made in some way by the engineers.
It's also worth noting that in Aliens, the xenos have other changes from the original, not mentioned here. Aside from the ridged head and forearm protrusions, they are shorter and have fewer ribs. The colouration is also different, with the body being painted with high contrast highlights on certain areas. This helped the shapes of the creatures show up on camera while being filmed under strobe lights, leaving a briefly glimpsed but strong impression of their features. By the way, I love these videos. The time spent researching and animating must be considerable, but the effort really makes for a top quality show.
@A1 RB Battles it would literally be impossible for David to be the original creator of the species even if you disregarded in AVP. Covenant takes place less than 20 years before alien and in alien you see a fossilised engineer that has clearly been the victim of a chestburster. Clearly much older than 20 years
@A1 RB Battles I’m pretty sure in the script design it was suppose to be over a million years old or something ridiculous like that. Ridley Scott has no idea what originally he wrote lol hence why there are a bunch of errors. Like David couldn’t have killed all the space jockeys then one escape, get fossilized, all in 20 years lol it’s a plot hole
@A1 RB Battles I mean I’m pretty sure that’s what they’re were getting at in Covenant but again we’re trying to logically explain a plot hole. It’s what it is a plot hole nothing it’s ever gonna seamlessly connect the Original with the new films because again it ignores the originals story partially
This fact actually makes the Alien prequels even worse.. so we're not actually witnessing the genesis of the xenomorph species just an androids attempts to replicate them? It makes the whole series so redundant. I think we needed a film in between Prometheus and Covenant where Shaw and David actually meet the Engineers and discover the xenomorphs naturally and then David becomes inspired and ultimately obsessed to create his own strain, that would atleast make sense but as it stands the whole thing is just pointless and devoid of logic. I love Ridley but I think he took too many leaps to have the franchise back in his control.
I know a lot of people don't like Covenant, but the bloodburster/neomorph is by far the scariest one to me. The medbay scene was the scariest of the film and pretty iconic.
In the movie the Predator removed his mask for the sake of plot and got hugged for his trouble. I guess he knew he was compromised, but chose to complete the hunt anyway.

Evolution of Godzilla: in 1954, Godzilla is a radioactive creature awakened by nuclear energy from a long hibernation he's been in since the dinosaurs. Godzilla is then killed, but another Godzilla rises to take his place. this time, Godzilla encounters Anguirus. in the 1960s, Godzilla encounters King Kong and dukes it out, but the fight ends in a tie. afterwards, Godzilla is remade to be more children friendly. instead of Japan's destroyer, he is made Japan's savior. in the 1980s, Godzilla returns to his roots as a plaque upon this world and continues to destroy cities. in the 1990s, Godzilla has a son who takes his place after he melts down from a critical heart problem. 1998, Godzilla is reborn, but in a entirely new form meant to be more realistic. a bit too realistic as he is no longer recognizable and is killed by conventional means. 2000, Godzilla returns again in his original glory and stronger than ever. 2004, Godzilla fights to save the world one last time from alien invaders, but mainly for his own personal gain of taking revenge on humanity. 2014, Godzilla is once again awakened from a long hibernation, but this time to hunt down his natural enemy, thus starting the Monsterverse. this new Godzilla is also given a new realistic look, but thankfully does not stray too far from the source material and is recognizable as a Godzilla family member. 2016, a new Godzilla appears in Japan but with a more zombie feel to him. this new Godzilla is a mutant created from the toxic waste dumbed into the ocean. this Godzilla threatens to continue mutating and growing until all of mankind is extinct. 2017, Godzilla takes over the Earth and kicks mankind off the planet. 2019, Godzilla rises from the oceans once again to confront his nemesis, King Ghidora. 2020, a God will meet a King

i'm almost positive the events of Prometheus and Continent do NOT depict the birth of the Xenomorphs as we know them, the "Morphs" we see in those two films are just visually similar offshoots created using the same materials (black goo) but at a different point in time and under different circumstances. The Xenomorphs from the AVP and Alien movie timelines were likely 100% created by the Engineers, with no human or android involvement at all. Then after while the Predators found the Xenomorphs after the Engineers had been wiped out, and started using them for hunts.
@@TamTroll You can quite clearly see a hybrid human/xenomorph in the films. Which Riply burns. Indicating the original ones were man made. I find that much more plausaible then "Oops. Black goo that can easily wipe out everyone on earth because everyone breaths it." Just makes no sense for the "goo" to devolve into a physical egg. It's just less effective and efficent. Wayland Yutani would have surely used airbone versions if this was the case (they'd totally do genocide). But they don't. So it contradicts with the lore.
@@taramaforhaikido7272 the hybrids that Ripley burns are hybrids OF Ripley made USING Ripley's D&D. they were specifically made by the Weyland corp very recently. What I'm saying is that the Xenomorph species as a whole (the ones found on the planet in "Alien" and "Aliens" have 0% Human involvement in their creation. The Goo i think is more of a genetic reconstruction agent then anything else, it takes DNA apart and puts it back together in new forms, all life on earth was created from an engineer drinking the Goo if you remember from the beginning of Prometheus. Somehow the android in Covenant just made very Xenomorph-like creatures using it and human / Engineer DNA. but he also spent a long time experimenting with it. It's likely the Xenomorph eggs we see in "Aliens" already exist at this point, and are creations of the Engineers but in a more stable form then the Good.

AvP actually didn’t contradicts Prometheus or Covenant, David only recreated the Aliens DNA
@A1 RB Battles it would literally be impossible for David to be the original creator of the species even if you disregarded in AVP. Covenant takes place less than 20 years before alien and in alien you see a fossilised engineer that has clearly been the victim of a chestburster. Clearly much older than 20 years
@A1 RB Battles the Xeno Eggs in the OG Alien were literally in a fossilized ship. Meaning they are older than 20 years lol

The medbay scene was the scariest of the film and pretty iconic.
it was awesome
Here 6 years later to say that Alien: Romulus finally brought back the OG xenomorphs and incidentally brought back good Alien movies.
You should definately update this because of alien romulus
I love how you managed to make alien child friendly
This is the the last kind of music someone would use for a video about xenomorphs.
But you do you I guess
This way more helpful than other videos I saw trying to explain the aliens
"You have a horror movie called 'Alien'? That's really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you."
Best line in the 2014 Doctor Who chrismas special.
How about outragious life forms?
How dare you. Are you saying aliens can't be scary? Us aliens can be intimidating too!
facehugger hugs a yautja mask without burning it?
Crankat honestly the animator probably just didn’t want to draw the predator’s face
Yes, because science
Haha you caught me, plus why spoil the eventual Predator animation ;)
yah they must just be made out od so heavy medal of somesort so
In the movie the Predator removed his mask for the sake of plot and got hugged for his trouble. I guess he knew he was compromised, but chose to complete the hunt anyway.
Tell It Animated *I'm not too much of an Alien fan, but it was still a great video as always!* 👌
*I can't wait to see the poles you're going to put out*
A VR Alien game would be really terrifying!
You did Jason and Freddy, The Shape, and now Alien.... so do Predator, Chucky, The Gremlins, and GODZILLA! and all of my all time favorites will be done! also others you could do is Gamera, King Kong, and the Universal Monsters! "Frankenstein and Dracula especially"
You should make one on Iron Man and his different suits
Would be cool to see the evolution of Godzilla
Who's here after Alien: Romulus came out?
👇
Please do Jaws or Tremors
2:20 "Shaw" has been written on one of the containers.
I think the first alien is my all time favorite, mostly because of the transparent head and how tall it is.
I'm literally watching this content for the first time after a very very long time like first watched it when I was like 8-9y/o and now im 13💀💀
Another glorious vid, you are doing exceptionally well!
Hopefully next we could get evolutions on The Predators (AKA The Yautjas), Leatherface, Chucky, etc.
But thank you for doing this for us, you are one of the best animators on TH-cam, my friend and I truly mean that!
0:56 Alien Resurrection with the cloned Xenomorphs are also known to be the alter strains from the Xenomorph xx121.
Great fact!
Do Chucky next please
The ones from Alien Vs Predator 2004 look perfect, you have to admit
2020, a God will meet a King

you should do leatherface or chucky next.
If Ridley Scott and JK Rowling had a (collaborative project) baby, it would be the most terrifying abomination to ever curse cinema.
David actually had an intense sexual relationship with the Neomorph
Harry Potter and the shitty pants
It would be gay.
The xeno queen would be lesbian.

Yet another fantastic animation! As usual, we love the amount of detail and polish that your videos have. The little follow-throughs are definitely noticed and appreciated. :D
Congrats on powering through yet another video and thank you for entertaining us for the whole 3 minutes and 1 second! It motivates us when we see other animation channels succeed! Can't wait to see what you have planned for your next video!

The question is: Is Ridley Scott a genius who went astray, or is he a doofus with beginners luck?

i'm almost positive the events of Prometheus and Continent do NOT depict the birth of the Xenomorphs as we know them, the "Morphs" we see in those two films are just visually similar offshoots created using the same materials (black goo) but at a different point in time and under different circumstances.
The Xenomorphs from the AVP and Alien movie timelines were likely 100% created by the Engineers, with no human or android involvement at all. Then after while the Predators found the Xenomorphs after the Engineers had been wiped out, and started using them for hunts.
avp confirmed to be fan service and supposed to be non canon
a'ight, i can buy that.
i just don't buy that Humans had anything to do at all with the creation or evolution of the Xenomorphs.
@@MrPauliesaurus avp is canon after, uh, The Predator
SUPERMAN NEXT!!!
GREAT JOB KEEP IT UP!!!
