What happens is the facehugger hatches then latches on something then implants a chestburster inside of you then bursts out of your chest
When the egg died, it spilled acid, not jelly, you could tell by the particle effects
And there's more aliens than that
I know this guy might not know a lot about aliens. But 3 thing wrong with the thumbnail.

That is not really true
Atleast the egg is a ovomorph and then facehugger then chestburster then it molts into a fully grown xenomorph and if it is lucky it might molt into a praetorian or somthing. Queen xenomorphs only come from the royal facehugger.
And there is a alien that could spawn from a humanoid creature called a engineer which would burst out a xenomorph type called ultramorph so there is a thing called ultramorph in the alien universe.

The facehugger lays eggs in the body and the chestbuster pops out the chest and royal face huggers can lay 2 embrois (aliens) and one is the queen and normal one and whatever the animal is the chestbuster pops out of it has its traits

the Facehugger is a parasitic alien life form. since xenomorphs do not mate they rely on facehuggers to reproduce. Once a lifeform nears an egg a facehugger will leap out and latch onto the hosts face, it impregnates the host with a xenomorph embryo that will erupt from the host's chest after growing ( hence the name chestburster ), once the facehugger has impregnated a host they fall off, curl up and die. my apologies if this is annoying to you but I just thought I would give you an explanation to why facehuggers do not eat the hosts face, in fact, they do not eat at all

Life cycle:
First after hatch almost immediately,it will hug a face and PUT chestbusters in the host.
Next,the chestbursters burst OUT of the chest.
Finally,it grow to a full grown adult in A FEW HOURS.
If the facehugger was royal,it will become a ROYAL Xenomorph.
This is the life cycle of Xenomorphs.

Allow me to educate the life cycle of a xenomorph(alien), I have not finished the video, but just in case there are errors, I will explain in full accuracy. The life cycle starts with the ovomorph, the ovomorph is actually a separate entity from the face hugger, that is grown in the ovomorph. Once a entity is nearby the ovomorph, it releases the facehugger and the facehugger impregnated the host, after this point, the facehugger curls up and dies. After a few hours, the embryo grows and eats its way out of the body. After the baby xenomorph(or chestburster) exits the host will then hide in a secluded area to grow. Afterward, the xenomorph grows and can become a drone/warrior or a runner, depending on the host. There are however special individuals, that work the same way, but are more grown, and powerful. These are the queen xenomorphs, they are able to lay eggs to help expand their hive, but if they are hatched in a occupied nest, they turn into atlases, these queens fly to new areas to create new hives, and that, is the full life cycle, of the xenomorph, thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

What actually happens is that the facehugger contains a creature in it. It latches onto a person and injects the creature into the subject [thats why it has that mouth, to transfer the creature] then, the facehugger body would become inactive [not dead] and the creature would go through the esofagus, into the stomach
So by going inactive is there a chance that it could become active again and be able to make another chestburster?

The life cycle is like: the Egg hatches, facehugger jumps on their face and some time later the chestburster rips out from their chest and grows. The aethon is a mutated ender dragon and NOT a alien
Why you copy
If a creature gets impregnated by a facehugger, The Xenomorphs leave that creature alone because there’s a chestburster gestating inside that creature and killing that creature would mean killing the chestburster.
The movies never explained how this happens but there are theories that suggest that they either have built-in X-Ray vision or the chestburster leaves a distinct smell that tells the adults “Hay, this is a host, not a threat”

Xenomorphs actually do have eyes but its protected by their tough skin, if you look at their skull they have eye sockets implying they got eyes
