I like James and I have enjoyed the channel. The Andrew Pritchard episode is probably the best podcast I have listened to but this guy didn’t need a second go and neither does Tommy Mallet. Quantity over quality recently.

Lee Murray was a real gangster but lets be honest here, if you really look into his story you'd understand why he got birded off. The family&friends of the victims would not want him free at all. He dressed up as police and kidnapped a man on his way home from work, then they went to his family home and told his wife he's been in an accident to then kidnap her & their son at gunpoint so that he can let them into the money warehouse. God knows what they all went through while they were all being held hostage for over an hour while they stole the money. He had a promising MMA career but kept going back to crime, he was just too greedy for money. He needs to just firm it and do his whole 25 years they gave him. There are thousands of Innocent people doing long birds like that for shit they aint even done. He did this and knew the risks before committing the crime so do the time. Lets just keep an eye out for *Anything Goes With James English: Lee Murray on serving 25 Years in Moroccan Prison'*
OK I can see where you are coming from to a certain extent regarding to do the crime do the time but let's look at the facts here in all honesty. Yes the kidnapping of an innocent family is beyond horrific and it must have caused unimaginable fear and distress for those involved but let's look at some of the underlying points here....... None of the family came to any physical harm. They were not beaten or tortured as is the case in large majority of kidnappings. The robbers stuck to there word. Do as you are told and nobody will get hurt, which nobody was. Now, the robbery involved firearms,none of which were discharged but other than that let's look at the sentence Lee got....... 25 years!!!!! 25 years....That's the same as a fucking murderer and he has to do the whole stretch, no chance of early release. Now this is, in my own personal opinion, a perfect example of injustice and the harsh reality of how unfair and unjust most sentences are in general these days....... All over the globe. Also highlighting the fact that all the others involved in the Heist have either been released or are now in open prison conditions for the end of there sentences. I think that Lee has served a fair sentence and by no means think he should be doing the same bird as sombody who has killed a child....its wrong.

This interview may seem so wrong but its so real there is Danny Simpson in every concil estate and most people can relate with him which is why James English has the best podcast in the world. No matter who you are or what your back round is James will give you a platform as long as your real and genuine.
Agreed, they are new gen, the kind like you see in " essex boys retribution" they get a smack off old school crook and cry to police. Most of old school had teeth missing- scars- noses caved in- etc they were better physically developed- fighting on pub doors- every week etc. Ppl were miners- farmers- doing heavy day graft then gyms- fights. Diets-food were better yrs back aswell. Also they didnt want to be in limelight for tik tok likes etc.
His daughter won’t get to see him most of her life , probably for the best 🤷

Unfortunately, this is a 30 year old man stuck in a 13 year olds brain. Very typical with those who spend long periods in prison and not great childhoods. He doesn't know it, and he's in a man's body.
If he thinks he's winning in life driving expensive cars on finance, or lease, or even if he owns them, and an expensive watch, he is wrong.
I hope at some point he can get therapy and help.
