Stuckmann telling us we need to "make" another Barbenheimer is so stupid. It's not our *responsibility* to ensure movies succeed, they should live or die by their merits
Wasn't Barbenheimer just a gimmick to keep fans from pitting the films against each other? Plus, it worked because the movies were so different in tone and subject that it was funny. That marketing can't be recreated repeatedly for terrible films.
@@hope-cat4894 I think the idea was that the audience carried that campaign (I'm not sure if they created it, though), and it ended up with both movies being successful. So it's the audience that needs to "do their part" to help make sure movies do well, according to Stuckmann.
Not sure if he meant it as our responsibility, but I think it is not stupid to suggest that if you liked a movie, or if you like theatrical releases in general, talk about them and recommend them. Word of mouth still needs to be actually done, regardless of a movie's merits.
@hope-cat4894 I'd say the Barbeinheimer thing was a ground up Internet phenomena just like the Doom Eternal-Animal Crossing thing was. The studios were just smart enough in both cases to take advantage of it.

I suppose that is a possibility. I still sub to Chris because he's on OG on the platform. But, just as he told John Schnepp when his Superman doc came out, I am still going to be has honest in my review as I am with anyone.
There is an anecdote I always like to use. There's a football(American) player by the name of Johnny Manziel. Dude was insanely popular. And had talent. But when he got to the pros he was a bust. Why? Because nobody ever told him how to improve. What he was doing wrong. They said "You're awesome Johnny" and because of that he never did improve. If someone had the balls to tell him that he needed to party less and work harder. Watch tape. Maybe he'd still be playing. This notion that criticism is inherently negative is incredibly harmful. And there are a lot of people who have never reached their full potential because of it.
It is not the notion that criticism is inherently negative that is harmful. It is both that people, including this podcast, are terrible at giving criticisms without sounding condescending or hostile and that, yes, it is inherently negative but that is fine. To most, criticism is an unnecessary negative experience to go through, so they avoid giving it and getting it. The panel basically admitted this when they conceded getting criticised hurts. We humans tend to avoid getting hurt.
@AfutureV That's not true in the slightest. Maybe Rags but Mauler is always fair and honest. He literally just did a stream with Star Wars Theory after criticizing him.

_Implementing_ criticism is the hard part. As some pro said, "99% of the time, the criticism and suggested fix is _wrong,_ but that audience member was bothered by _something;_ it's your job to figure out what threw them off and make the correct tweak." A rando could say "This room looks like ass, it's the green walls; I don't like green walls," when actually the problem is the red sofa doesn't work in the room, and the same rando when shown the same room just with the curtains opened and the sofa swapped out for a basket bench will respond "actually the green walls look good now, I don't know what you did but I like the green" Film makers (who know what they're doing) don't run test screenings to listen to follow every single audience suggestion; they do it to identify problem-areas that trip up the audience where it shouldn't.

Even if you were using them as hyperboles they still don't make your argument valid. Also, I don't know where yoi get your data, but a quick research here tells me that well between 2009 and 2019 around 25% of young adults (16-34) go to the cinema AT LEAST once a month. Let’s just all focus on the positives. No criticism or negativity. Every film is now 10/10 and no one’s feelings are hurt. Sounds realistic. Well done Chris Stuckmann.
I usually watch Stuckmann and Jeremy Jahn for quick review and this really shows. While Jahn not always right, he still shows passion in reviewing movie (and some games). Stuckmann on other hand begin to make "safe, non critical" review for every title, it felt like he walk through mine field, trying not to trigger anything, he seems lost passion
I watched him in middle or HS school then I grew up and realized he had no original opinions and lacked a personality. He’s extremely safe and generic for movie reviews and acceptable opinions. He’s got a lot of subs but I’m sure that his engagement has the depth of a kiddie pool.
Jeremy Jahns actually seems like he’s having fun and isn’t pretending to be some incredible critic whom we should agree with on everything. I used to be a fan of Stuckmann until I realized how the guy just kind of rambles on without actually saying anything of substance.
@@BalrogUdun As somebody who also does not know who Stuckman is but absolutely knows that type among intellectual circles. He sounds like the Sam Harris of film criticism... 😂
The whole point this clown seems to try to make is that when he was still a critic, criticizing a movie was good, but now HE wants to make movies, others are no longer allowed to criticize movies because one of the movies they criticize in the future might be made by him. And is it just me or is this guy talking in circles and smashes into the same obstacle again and again? In his efforts of avoid saying that there are bad movies, he tries to circumvent it, like he's driving in his car, comes up to a roadblock and then goes right, right again, right again and right again, only to end up at the same roadblock. And it baffles him. Then he decides to be clever and instead of going right, he goes left 4 times, only to, you've guessed it: end up at the same roadblock again and be baffled again. Then he decides it's wiser to just give up his "argument" and says "you get my point", only to launch into an incoherent rant. But then as he is rounding up his "argument", he starts to explain that there are good movies and that there are movies that..... and I think "what are you doing? Shut up." He then realises that there is actually a word that describes movies that aren't good and that that word is "bad" and he's baffled to find himself right back at where he ran into that roadblock the first time.
he's the king of circular, emotional delusion. just watch his "response to batman v superman rewrite" and witness him repeat the same excuse for 30 minutes, all the while pulling out every piece of emotional guilt based manipulation he can think of. he is a drama queen. just a confused depressed person in general and i only say because his misery seems self imposed. he'd probably be happier living openly as a gay man. anybody happy with their wife and children would never prioritize coming out as "pansexual." I bring this up because I think this confusion plays an important role in understand what is wrong with him. If you go through videos of him hanging out with his youtube buddies, he's excited and happy and they constantly make gay jokes together. it's like he's a young boy excited that his mom is letting him sleep over his friend's house or something. but when you look at the vlogs from his wife's channel where they go somewhere or do the same thing he did with his buddies, he is miserable and irritated.

Glad to hear that Wolf is again a part of EFAP. I love to listen to your first year of EFAPPING. And Fringy was also already there in the beginning. Good stuff!
Honestly, seeing EFAP take down Chris Stuckman gives me such a massive joygasim since I really hate this guy. With Red Letter Media, they come up with their own logic based on what they believe. Stuckman on the other hand, just regurgitates what the common and popular opinion of a movie is. That's why many people consider Stuckman an absolute shill and a fraud because he'll frame whatever false narrative, throw any group of people under the bus and even throw his own family under that same bus just to generate the most sympathy and likes. The dude lacks any form of self awareness that he contradicts his own principles and rules just to cater to the popular mindset and he even wound up saying the very thing Red Letter Media mocked (the very same channel that he previously praised and looked up to): the sentiment that big studios don't want audiences to ask questions, just consume product and be excited for next movie. That's why I hate Chris Stuckman: He's an absolute shill, weasel, treacherous snake and pathological liar. How this guy became a big named TH-cam movie critic for how little intellectual thought he puts into his review astounds me since he's an insult to the profession he's supposed to uphold: giving an honest, unbiased critical analysis of a product that informs the audience of the quality of said product. And this video further proves my point as he's a movie critic...who doesn't critically analyze movies anymore. I'm sorry, what? That's the equivalent of being a photographer who doesn't take any photos, a boxer who doesn't fight or a ballerina who doesn't dance. What a worthless video from a worthless critic. He's the literal embodiment of everything opposite of what EFAP represents: Honesty, objectivity, logic, reasoning and principle. These are reasons why I watch EFAP and not garbage tier critics like Stuckman: Don't tell me your feelings on the movie. Show me the reasons why it does or doesn't work. I might not always agree with the assessment considering that there's context for a particular criticism that might redeem or break scenes. But at least these guys try to do the best that they can to assess the media they cover.

I bought a blu-ray for the first time this year (the rest were gifted). It was Puss in Boots 2. Physical media would still be succeeding if people revered the things that were being put on the disks. These days they don’t care if they can never see a thing again.
I think that same thing applies to books too. We live in an age of digital books, but people still buy paperbacks. I buy physical books when I'm worried they'll be censored in the future or I just want the copy in my hand without worrying about charging a Kindle. I buy DVDs for the same reason. Some of my favorite cartoons haven't aged well and I don't want them changed.

Pirates are always going to outnumber moral-prudes/corpos, and the more the powers that be fuck things up the healthier the anti-censorship community becomes.
One thing that bothers me is that streaming "stuff" doesn't even get a physical release in my country. It's one of the reasons I gave up on Marvel after the Endgame - I can't be collecting these movies (even if they were good) because there's large chunks of the "saga" that is behind monthly subscription fee now. If I could buy a proper physical version of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, or some non-Marvel stuff like Stranger Things - I would. WandaVision, Loki, even if those were good enough, I can't buy it. Same with Star Wars, there's so much "content" that's stuck on that shitty platform, I'm not going to support their business model, if I can't buy Disney+ shows on disc, then there is no "saga" there is no value in collecting whatever they put into cinemas eventually. Even if it's good.
Nah. Physical media is dying cause its less convenient, takes space, is less ecological and more expensive to distribute. Its fine for the hobbyist and/or collector, but as a consumer product its inferior in almost every way for all parties involved
@@Keijoz Anyone who grew up with looney tunes, Star Wars on VHS, or anything of the like, or has read V for Vendetta, knows that to be less than the whole story. Convenience is not just a readily accessible library of mostly crap. It is also having unimpeded limitless access to a piece of media you can trust is unadulterated. Physical media is more convenient than on-demand when you WANT what you buy. Media on-demand is more convenient if you are searching without aim for something tolerable to watch. Movies are remarkably low profile. As long as you have space for a medium sized shoebox, you have enough space to store a media collection in the hundreds of hours. Questionable methods can even shrink that to the size of a wallet. I just don't buy it that anyone who has rejected physical media has done so because they had nowhere to put it. I highly doubt that customers are interested in the environmental impact of CD collecting, and even less so that they are worried about the cost to manufacture and distribute, especially as the disc copy of a film, show, or game is typically priced the same as (at worst within 10%, disregarding sales) the cost of the purely digital version. If you are proposing that studios are propagandizing the public into preferring digital media over physical, or bribing retailers to withdraw from physical media commerce in order to assuage these issues themselves, I would be aboard. But you seem to be suggesting that the shift is a consequence of customer driven, fair market capitalism in a media landscape just as good as it was when CDs sold well, which will require some convincing. With all that said, my point remains, with one modification: People would be buying more physical media if they cared for what was on the discs, AND if they were made aware of the frivolity with which they were spending their money on media when doing so digitally. They simply haven't yet been sufficiently burned by the sheer cynicism, transience, and greed of the industry, which earns more money by ruining or robbing you of a thing than letting you keep and enjoy it.
We once had a dollar theater where i live too. Seeing it eventually go out of business and get replaced by some run of the mill apartments still pains me to this day

Though my prime only joy is watching Chris working himself up to being negative, then going into therapy shortly thereafter.
It took 3 hours but Chris finally got to his point, the reason films are failing is because we don't consooom enough. I guess we all can't be perfect humans like movie Bob.
*"Manlet that just wants to consoom product is upset that people are asking questions and not consooming product."* Ironic that MovieBlob advocates for eugenics so much, because if he got his socialist dictatorship, he'd be one of the first ones shoved into the showers. But that's the thing with socialists; they ALWAYS think they're going to be the tyrant, or in the tyrant's party, or that the tyrant will exist purely to serve their whims. It never, ever even occurs to them the possibility the same modus of extermination they screamed and cheered to be used on the people they don't like will be turned on them, too.
I really like the phrase "it takes more effort to burn a steak than it does to cook it well" It's a really succinct way to say that more effort doesn't always been higher quality
Effort is irrelevant. Knowledge and skill are the entirety of human achievement. Knowledge of what the goal should be and the skill to bring it to fruition.
the minor issue is that it's wrong, it doesn't take much effort to put a steak on and just forget about it. A refinement would be "it takes more heat to burn a steak than it does to cook it well". It doesn't change the ultimate meaning, but as a rhetorical device meant to convey a point the fact that it's quite easy for someone incompetent to fuck up a steak with very little effort kind of undermines the point that it's trying to convey. Yes, I'm aware I'm nitpicking an off-the-cuff quote but, and stop me if you've heard this before, critique is how things improve. If I'm done being a bit of a smartass, it's honestly wild how subtly marxian this video is. The labour theory of value is the big one that he just keeps repeating but you also got the 'yay poor oppressed workers' wankery, (ignore the fact that they're all millionaires) you got the 'capitalism bad', you got the complete ignorance of whose money it is your spending for your little passion projects, etc. I don't know enough about the guy to say whether he actually *_is_* a communist or marxist, and frankly I don't think he is purely because I don't think he is the type to think about political or economic concepts much at all beyond his immediate conceptual bubble, but the ideas and points he makes map eerily well onto a lot of Marx's original, ahem, 'ideas'. (cough cough bitter old man ramblings cough cough) It's just weird because I think this is the first time I've ever seen someone spout so many of Marx's original talking points, and yet have me entirely convinced they've not read a single one or even seriously thought about communism at all. It's like the bastard version of convergent evolution.

Growing up in very rural Iowa we had a local theater where you could get a ticket, a drink, and a large popcorn for about $6. And that was as late as 2016.
1:25:20 I have never been a big "You gotta see this one in the theater, it's so much better there than on a home entertainment system" kind of guy....but then I saw Top Gun: Maverick in the local cineplex back in 2022. One of the rare movies that I went back to the theater to see again the following weekend, it was that good. And a big part of that was having that big screen, with the big sound system that you could feel in your bones. So that movie you absolutely need to see in a modern theater. Might be some others out there, but that was the one that sprang to mind....
Dude a lot of creators create stuff because they love the medium but also because they aren't totally happy with the stuff that's available. Indie animation is a clear demonstration of that.
General audiences don’t want experimental they want a return to traditional. We’ve almost had a decade of subversion it’s time to try traditional stories and characters. Not a morally grey hero but binary good and evil or a classic romantic love story. I don’t see predictable as bad, a BJ has a predictable outcome doesn’t deter you from doing it. People have an itch for classical storytelling and it isn’t being scratched.
I feel insulted by Chris stuckman, that he wants us to lower Our standards INSTEAD of demanding the people who’s fault it is that movies are bad to Raise THEIR standards.
It's really a beautiful thing watching Stuckmann have a public freakout about the future of "cinema" when you know for a fact over the last four years he's been dancing with glee at the thought of his political activist buddies shoveling pure garbage down the throats of audiences, and now that the world has rightfully called him out on what he defines as "cinema" to be nothing more than propaganda, Stuckmann also rightfully now fears for his place in the hierarchy of entertainment media. "The death of cinema" from his perspective is actually the return of good cinema from the perspective of the rest of the world. Things will be set right once Disney is chopped up and all its IP sold off piecemeal to better IP holders.

45:09 I think the problem may be that a lot of people make the mistake of thinking that results are going to be immediate with therapy. That can sometimes be true, but it often isn't. It's often a long and difficult process, especially when you first start and you're just beginning to get to know your therapist.
You also have to tell your therapist what you want them to do. If you want them to give you things to practice on when you're not having sessions, do that. If you don't give them feedback, they'll just use talk therapy, which might not be enough. I had to do this, and it's actually helped. Therapists need feedback to know if their methods are helping or hurting. If that still doesn't work, it's time to find someone new.
When is comes to buying physical media. I think as you get older, and your affinity for collections begins to diminish, you become more and more selective about the physical media that you buy. In my early 20's I had a massive DVD, VHS, and Blue Ray collection. I also used to have a big comic collection. But I sold most of those things because I got tired of the space that they take up. Now my collections are about quality not quantity.
Chris's whole video is just "Manlet who just wants to consume product is upset that people are asking questions and not consuming product." His statement that he doesn't want to be negative anymore is both an example of toxic positivity and trying to brown nose the industry he desperately wishes to be part of, because Hollywood is largely an elitist echo chamber safe space, but that detachment from reality is why their movies are getting so terrible. Chris knows they're bad, but he doesn't have the backbone to say it, so he's scapegoating the audience for not financially rewarding crap, as if it's their fault the industry is in trouble, and not that the industry is saturated with idiot narcissists making bad products. This was nothing but twenty minutes of a normie consoomer struggling against his own cognitive dissonance, *and losing.*
2:15:24 I think you guys are missing the aspect of ‘The Suicide Squad’ basically shared a name with ‘Suicide Squad’ which just set it up for failure. I feel like so many people got them confused and not even word of mouth could help cause people could say “watch the suicide squad, it’s really good!” and people that heard that were just like “ew no are you stupid?” Practically everyone I recommended it to I had to explain it was a reboot and convince them it was decent.
It is quite interesting that out of the two movie review channels that the algorithm pushes to the top, Chris Stuckmann has always been the human ambien while Jeremy Jahns somehow grew on me significantly over time.
There’s too much back and forth between Chris trying to be a filmmaker who’s supportive of other filmmakers and trying to review movies at the same time. Sorry buddy but you can’t have both lol. His inability to choose between these two and his wishy washy attitude are honestly memes at this point😂

Am I going to spend what little free time I have watching the Marvels, going for a walk, catching up on sleep or something else? If something is really good Ill find time for it. But why would I waste my time and student loan money on shit from Disney? I wont. If it was just a money issue Id sail the high seas... but the shit being pumped out is so bad I wont even waste the time.
01:18:00 What Mauler is talking about here is exactly what agents of shield was, they had their own storyline with Coulson being resurrected with alien blood, what that did with his mind, having an undercover team to work with him. They introduced the shield being infiltrated by hydra before winter soldier, they had lady sif introducing something about Thor 2 before the movie, but they were never something essential to the movie's plots, you could always get that thing by watching the movies, they were just little treats, and after that they started going on to bigger adventures detached from the movies I think if EFAP watched the show they'd probably give it a 2 or 3 at most, but they'd definitely have a better time with it than the latest Disney ones
i tried watching that show, then they made it all about the annoying hacker chick i couldn't stand, and even made her the team leader after the regular protag defected to hydra/became legion. I forgot Coulson was even in the show half the time.
I really liked season 1 and 2 of Shield, but I started getting bored once they started introducing the inhumans. They also kept Nick Fury as a cool guy in the show which puts it in a better place than Secret Invasion.
Stuckmann isn't looking off screen to check his notes full of bland takes. He's looking off screen at the Disney representative holing him hostage with a gun pointing at his head.
2:53:45 I mean, this was the inception of Star Wars. Lucas didn't have the technology _or_ the budget to make the movie he wanted to make so, like Thanos, he picked up the glove and said "Fine. I'll do it myself." That spirit of innovation is the foundation of Star Wars and so many other great things. Today, we're spending beyond our means and the innovations that are made are in the name of making shortcuts. The Volume is kinda neat, and seemed impressive when it was first made, but it was made in the efforts of making going to other worlds and even other locations in the real world easier. And, when all is said and done, it looks kinda cheap. And now we have AI, we're beginning to use it to replace actual digital artists because it's a shortcut. And you can usually tell when it's being used. It's not innovation in the efforts of making something believable. It innovation in the efforts of cutting out the middleman craftsman and making it faster. And then, things like Rings of Power, instead of using innovation in camera work and blocking to make a scene feel bigger than it is, they literally copy and paste extras into a scene to make a larger crowd of people.
We had a $3 dollar theater when I was a kid, it played all the movies that just left the main theaters and older movies. Seats were shit but it was a small cinema that sat maybe 30-50 people. Those were the days, unfortunately they shut down

Can they fire and serve someone at the same time? As in: "you spent $250 million on this and at least 90% of that money is unaccounted for. You're fired, and we're suing you."

You don’t have to be a chef to criticize your food for being undercooked but if you are a chef you can be more sympathetic or harsher for the error.
_Implementing_ criticism is the hard part. As some pro said, "99% of the time, the criticism and suggested fix is _wrong,_ but that audience member was bothered by _something;_ it's your job to figure out what threw them off and make the correct tweak."
A rando could say "This room looks like ass, it's the green walls; I don't like green walls," when actually the problem is the red sofa doesn't work in the room, and the same rando when shown the same room just with the curtains opened and the sofa swapped out for a basket bench will respond "actually the green walls look good now, I don't know what you did but I like the green"
Film makers (who know what they're doing) don't run test screenings to listen to follow every single audience suggestion; they do it to identify problem-areas that trip up the audience where it shouldn't.
@@samwallaceart288That, and understanding your target audience. For example the FNAF movie was not made with critics in mind, if fans of the game liked it that is what matters to them.
My god, Chris has NOTES and he still ended up making a rambling mess that everyone watching can't figure out what his overall point is. That is amazing, Chris, great job.

Digital media is extremely susceptible to altering, but the bright side is theres always going to be more pirates than companies, and you can almost always find a place online to get whatever version of what you want.
Just got done rewatching the boogie stream for the 4th time. Love EFAP
Watching Boogie get yelled at by Keemstar is the only joy I have in my life.
I honestly just felt dirty watching it. It’s like watching humiliation porn.
The finale was great. Boogie can't even be a lol cow effectively without being coached lol.
I've watched it three times, it is ... bizarrely strange enough to warrant further viewing.
@@S4ns it's the new train wreck to watch. Boogie EFAP = GOTS8 🤣
We once had a dollar theater where i live too. Seeing it eventually go out of business and get replaced by some run of the mill apartments still pains me to this day
It was the only joy in my li......

@@ThisisKyle Feels bad man
Chris realizing that being objective instead of voluntarily joining the shill cult could have saved Marvel (and therefore cinema... somehow), is peak fire, and my only joy in life. Though getting to say shortman bad is also my only joy. As is getting to watch the end of the video after being called away during the live stream. Though my prime only joy is watching Chris working himself up to being negative, then going into therapy shortly thereafter.
54:40 This works for Redlettermedia. It's funny to see Mike and Jay try to go through Mike's paper notes on movies.
It took 3 hours but Chris finally got to his point, the reason films are failing is because we don't consooom enough. I guess we all can't be perfect humans like movie Bob.
*"Manlet that just wants to consoom product is upset that people are asking questions and not consooming product."*
Ironic that MovieBlob advocates for eugenics so much, because if he got his socialist dictatorship, he'd be one of the first ones shoved into the showers.
I was cooking once, I thought I've added salt and spices, but I have actually forgot, somehow the result was less bland than Chris.
I really like the phrase "it takes more effort to burn a steak than it does to cook it well"
It's a really succinct way to say that more effort doesn't always been higher quality
@@robonator2945 Yeah, that's what I first thought too. Like, surely just turning on the stove and walking away is way less effort than monitoring the temperature and adding seasoning and getting a proper sear.
@robonator2945 he said it takes more time to burn a steak than to cook it properly
@@SgtMcDumper that's, still not better. Throw a steak into a nuclear power plant, tell me how long it takes for it to burn. Burning is far more a factor of heat than time. Granted steak *_is_* already cooked extremely hot so it's not something most people generally need to worry about, but the actual process is still more dictated by heat than time.
My workplace actually told us that we can't complain that our coworkers aren't doing their jobs because it's making them (our terrible coworkers) cry at night. :`(
Being afraid of cinema is the only thing that brings me joy in life
If the word milquetoast came to life and became a human, it would be Chris Stuckman.
"I need umbrella" caught me so off-guard, I burst out laughing at work. Thank you so much for the pockets of happiness you provide me throughout my day.
People like Chris Stuckmann are such goddamn cowards going out of their way to not say Disney's content sucks and the people working there need to get their shit together or be fired permanently.
I made the critical mistake of taking a sip of coffee when Rags said "I love a good fries & champagne" 🤣
The bit where the crew are all talking about scenes that get cut from movies despite being really good or important, reminds me of that story about The Grey. Where they cut out the final fight with Liam Neeson and the wolf. As if cutting a fight with a goddamn wolf was the right decision? Movie is practically building towards that climax XD.
2:58:48
"I think a retooling of our approach of how we see movies needs to happen."
In simpler words:
"We should learn to like corporate slop films, even though they're slop."
"Don't ask questions! Just consoom product then get excited for next product!"
That kind of vapid, consumerist, materialistic nihilism is exactly the thing that caused gen-x Jack to create Tyler Durden. Millennials like Chris Stuckman, meanwhile, have no identity or purpose beyond consumerism.
Forgot all about Stuckman. Used to watch his shit until he decided not to be critical of movies. You can still be respectful and criticize movies. Dudes a joke and was obviously worried about pissing the wrong people off in Hollywood when he’s trying to become one of them.
I use to watch Stuckman and stopped for the same reason you did.
Yup, same. I'm honestly surprised he didn't have a giant dip in subs. His channel is unwatchable now
When Jeremy Jahns comes on the show, that’ll be the best day in TH-cam history
The idea that time/effort should directly correlate with pity/lack of critique is absolutely crazy. Looking back at my college days. I could spend an entire year on an argumentative paper covering the HRE and instead spend that time on a creative writing piece and submit that instead, it deserves loads of critique!
If even this guy can become known on TH-cam, then there's hope for all of us content creators.
“Watching EFAP before bed is the only joy I have in life.”

Chris Stuckmann is the white guy in jokes about white people thinking mayonnaise is spicy
I have never met a person who thinks mayonnaise is spicy.
I watched this stuckman video when it came out, first stuckmann video I have watched for a long time primarily because he has been so lame lately. I watched it because I was curious to see what the "other" side was thinking and coping. Just now found your video and I had the exact same thoughts as you all did. Bravo!
Nearly an hour in and they haven’t got past Stuckman’s sponsor 😂😂😂😂
I can't believe I watched Chris when I started watching review channels
He is what you call toxic positivity
Going to movies is the only thing that brings me joy in life, but i'm afraid to be challenged, so what am i supposed to do, die?
Forgetting to attribute quotes to Bilbo Baggins is distasteful… to me.
Mauler "I don't believe anyone who says the don't like talking negatively"
Has to be the most British thing I've heard recently. XD
Oh my God Rags mentioned Code Lyoko. I fucking love that show
3:49:18 Disparu perfectly summarizing Stuckmann's personality
55:12 he looks like someone’s holding a gun to his head off screen.
There are so many channels dedicated to talking about bad films? I think it’s more like, there are plenty of channels talking about bad films, not because they like it, it’s because bad films are all we’re getting
Because guys like Mauler and L.Platoon take tearing a film to shreds into a high art form.
1:32:20 yes rags ! We had a dollar theater, which had 50 cent tuesdays , sneak in snacks and basically free evenings of movies
Not being negative about film is the only joy in my life - Chris
45:09 I think the problem may be that a lot of people make the mistake of thinking that results are going to be immediate with therapy. That can sometimes be true, but it often isn't. It's often a long and difficult process, especially when you first start and you're just beginning to get to know your therapist.
And paying for every second along the way
@@SiriusSphynxYou pay by hour, not second.
And you pay for all other specialists, why would psychologists be any different?
You also have to tell your therapist what you want them to do. If you want them to give you things to practice on when you're not having sessions, do that. If you don't give them feedback, they'll just use talk therapy, which might not be enough. I had to do this, and it's actually helped.
Therapists need feedback to know if their methods are helping or hurting. If that still doesn't work, it's time to find someone new.
For someone desperate to get into the film industry, Chris seems to really have no real clue how it actually functions.
"He's saying just because they put in more time it should be valued as such."
One of the foundational logical flaws of Marxism.
I enjoy EFAP 259 so much, I have watched it/listened 4 or 5 times.
Chris's whole video is just "Manlet who just wants to consume product is upset that people are asking questions and not consuming product."
His statement that he doesn't want to be negative anymore is both an example of toxic positivity and trying to brown nose the industry he desperately wishes to be part of, because Hollywood is largely an elitist echo chamber safe space, but that detachment from reality is why their movies are getting so terrible.
I feel like so many people got them confused and not even word of mouth could help cause people could say “watch the suicide squad, it’s really good!” and people that heard that were just like “ew no are you stupid?”
Practically everyone I recommended it to I had to explain it was a reboot and convince them it was decent.
I think Chris Stuckmann forget that it's called "show business" not "show I-tried-really-hard-pity-me".
For me, and im sure many others, its more about time than money. Im a med student.

What Mauler is talking about here is exactly what agents of shield was, they had their own storyline with Coulson being resurrected with alien blood, what that did with his mind, having an undercover team to work with him.
They introduced the shield being infiltrated by hydra before winter soldier, they had lady sif introducing something about Thor 2 before the movie, but they were never something essential to the movie's plots, you could always get that thing by watching the movies, they were just little treats, and after that they started going on to bigger adventures detached from the movies
I think if EFAP watched the show they'd probably give it a 2 or 3 at most, but they'd definitely have a better time with it than the latest Disney ones
i tried watching that show, then they made it all about the annoying hacker chick i couldn't stand, and even made her the team leader after the regular protag defected to hydra/became legion.
I forgot Coulson was even in the show half the time.
I really liked season 1 and 2 of Shield, but I started getting bored once they started introducing the inhumans. They also kept Nick Fury as a cool guy in the show which puts it in a better place than Secret Invasion.
Machinima was notorious for hiring talent, promoting their works only to erase them from history to meet some business standard.
Those were the days, unfortunately they shut down
We got one of those two towns away, it shut down during covid but then somebody purchased it reopened it turned it into a $5 theater.
@@SoullessAIMusic that’s cool, I wish someone did that for our. Was a cool experience to be in a theater but it was really small
1:22:26 This reminds me of Boogie equating him and his friends enjoying Magic the Gathering with being outcasts. People can be multifaceted individuals and hold wildly different interests and conflicting tastes. It's called having a personality. 🤨
Glad someone brought up the cost of living. Ofc movies are suffering when groceries and the cost of loving is up
Metal is unusually talkative here, I like it
Rags: "That's not a bad omen, that's just the thing failing. A bad omen would be like 'The eagle flew by on the right side of the army before battle, that's a bad omen'."
Metal: "Aw, _HATE IT when that happens!"_
You guys should invite Disparu more often.
Stuckmann is like the Jimmy Carter of Cinematube
Can they fire and serve someone at the same time? As in: "you spent $250 million on this and at least 90% of that money is unaccounted for. You're fired, and we're suing you."
Chris is just a character in the TH-cam game that you have to get through, he doesn’t add much to the story. I just love that I got to level-up 😂
