Sean and Andrea are having fun. Some times we suck the fun out of music performance by being critical and serious. And this is a review folks. Thanks for the video Andrea & Sean. Youre enjoyment is contagious.
I hear the pitch correct working way more on her voice until they start singing together and seem to not really be trying because they’re laughing. Even then it’s working harder on her voice
Is it a clone that's what I am trying to work out? if its the Mic Mechanic 2 in a different box I'll get one. I'd like to see both reviewed against each other.
Your vocals are really nice. Listening to digital, wet, robot music is not for me though. Definitely use any effects sparingly and maintain the warmth of you natural voice!
How does it compare to the TC Mic Mechanic? I'm currently shopping-around for a ( little vocal help ) for a solo Acoustic performance. I liked how it sounded. oNe LovE from NYC
I'm wondering the same thing. I think the mic mechanic is maybe a bit more quality. I bought one for my band mate 2 years ago but we went on hiatus shortly afterwards so I haven't had much time to use it. I'm here trying to figure out if the flamma measures up to try and save money.
@@beamflies Mic mechanic doesn't have "plate" reverb. It's room, club, and hall. The flamma also has some sort of ground/lift switch and a gain control knob. I think those features are present on some of the older TC helicon vocal pedals, but I'm not 100% sure. Neither are present on the mic mechanic 2 though.
I cant find TC-Helicon anywhere these days, this is the only similar pedal i find in stores. Did they stop making the TC-Helicon pedals? Is this as good as the TC-Helicon one?
I almost stopped listening - I'm not a good singer and need correction - BUT THEN HEARD ANDREAS SING!!!!!!! WOW! WOW! WOW!!! She's terrific!!!... Sean, your guitar is TERRIFIC, I was just surprised in hearing you both together!!!!... I still am not sure about correction ability of this though... LOL!!!!!!!
Love it, cept, Andrea doesn’t need it. I need it. Who knew Sean was a mike hog. Old school-prince charming & Cinderella “Don’t go breaking my heart” diffidently
I’m just listening on an iPad but it sounds very compressed almost like the compression on a mobile phone. Hopefully it would be better if I was hearing you live
Hi, im between this Flamma model who looks great and the TC HElicon C1 (so hard to find to buy) BUT my question is : how do you scale the key pitch correction? A, E, G....? i don't see how on this pedal. someone have an answer please? best regards
I found that even the minimum amount of noticable effect was to much and overbearing, let alone anything higher that that...for that reason I'm returning mine.
I’m a karaoke dj and if I normally plug my wireless mics into my board how do I connect the auto tune pedal? Do I plug my mics into it and plug the pedal into my board?
i just got one for christmas today and cant figure out how to connect it to my computer... I have a soundboard with multiple mic inputs but i dont have the right xlr cable do i buy a male to male xlr cable to plug it into my soundboard???
I am getting the thought that this like almost any other pedal is going to polish up your sound---- if you have musical talent. It won't be able to do miracles. The sound has to be there in the first place.
@seandaniel23 so does it automatically switch to the key that your singing in . Example doing a live gig and two songs are in different keys will it automatically follow my key when I sing or will I have to manually change it live
I'm using a cheap 1/4 inch mic instead of an XLR one - and having trouble getting all these functions to work. Does it need to be XLR to use these vocal FX?
Hey you, you’re looking for a vocal processor pedal? Don’t get this, get the TC-Helicon VoiceLive Play. It is a multi-effects vocal processor that includes pitch correction. You can even set the key so you can stay in the correct scale, unlike this pedal. It’s one of the most inexpensive pedals for this use case (around $250-$350). You’ll thank me later.
Does the flama, soft or hard chromatic correct. Will it correct all sounds into mic. Instruments, multi voice etc. if so you could of used in on the Bose test with Christopher.
:D Looks like fun, but your natural voices both sound better in human (rather than robotic) form. Still, some of the experiments produced effects that might be worth trying out in songs - in moderation -- extreme moderation --- a massive excess of moderation. One of the things it might be good for is trying to do what Freddy Mercury did with The Prophet's Song, singing "acapella with himself". (No real need, as such, for that, at all, though.)
We got one based on your review, but does not seem to do ANYTHING. We are using the guitar out because we don't have a XLR out, but can't you use "mixed mode" with the guitar out to get the autotune effect? The reverb and delay are working so we are confused. Just wanted a cool 10th birthday present, very disappointed.
Man that’s a bummer. It’s possible the auto tune is only going to be carried through the xlr out. I did this video so long ago I don’t remember if I used the mix mode or not.
Thank you very much for this vid. Could you please show us the way to send/return the signal between this Flamma Corrector and audio interface and routing so we can use this Flamma as a outboard effect for processing pre-recorded vocal track?
i waited for the best part of the song but i guess it was not meant to be so i will sing it DON'T YOU DARE CLOSE YOUR EYES!!!! those words are almost as icon as when Dorothy says "TOTO TOO" and every one in the room replies "TOTO TOO"!!!☺️😇
Why don't some of these pitch correction pedals let you CHOOSE THE KEY YOU WANNA SING IN?? It's so stupid, it's such an obvious thing you would want. I get it, you're singing over a chromatic scale and it's correcting to those but choosing a key would be nice for when you're singing a song that you know only stays in the key.
What a treat hearing A whole new world again! 😂 I think In some cases the effects could sound really cool, but I think I prefer Andrea's voice au naturel. Awesome demo guys!
Have you guys ever listened to your own voices real close? Sorry, I don't know your names, but the guy had me laughing so hard! Not in a bad way, and I'm not trying to be mean at all. You end so many of your statements with this completely out of place almost "ah" but with very little of the "h" involved. I was looking into what a vocal pedal does and it was the ah's that caught me right away. It's not a bad thing. It's almost cute, but im not into dudes. Check it out! See if you notice it too! 😂😂😂
Hehe …. Looks like you had a lot of fun with your duet auto-tune. I was never a big fan of auto-tune being used by professional artists. I could see using one in a Karaoke environment. Of course this is coming from a guy who could never be a lead singer.

Thanks so much Mark!
It's so funny how when Sean is singing you hear the pedal working really hard, but it gets to take a break when Andrea is singing.
I disagree. Her voice was modulating / oscillating more.
I hear the pitch correct working way more on her voice until they start singing together and seem to not really be trying because they’re laughing. Even then it’s working harder on her voice
A whole new world where even pitch correction can't save the Karaoke performance! Cheers Sean and Andrea!!
How dare you!

TC Helicon CLONE. I definitely want one!

I like Andrea’s voice without the tricky pedal much better.
Yeah why paint the lily?
for what it's worth, it pitch corrected perfectly. I think she was confusing her own acoustic pitch
dissonance with the auto-correction
for sure an impressive piece of kit
Sean, this pedal could be a game changer for you. Andrea, don’t bother, don’t need it.
Save us Rick Beato.
@Cam Gaylor Analog Andrea is my favorite.
That's funny,Stan!
Get another mic😂
lol Rick Beato is a clown
Why does every word have an extra syllable? Not making fun, but it’sa throwinguh me-a off-uh.
Maybe he's Italian ... 🤔

Couldn't correct the typo in the video description. 3/5 would not buy.
Had to go analog on that one
Well I guess now we know why you guys aren't a couple. Nice to see you guys happy and getting along again.😎

I want to hang out with you guys, you’re cool.
I want to hear you guys use this for a cover of the portal song.
Would like to have a comparison to the tc helicon mic mechanic. The reverb does not sound good. Could be you are not adjusting it properly.
I’m just listening on an iPad but it sounds very compressed almost like the compression on a mobile phone. Hopefully it would be better if I was hearing you live

you can't. it's chromatic. it will quantize a glissando to every out-of-key note. i had high hopes for this one too.
Thank goodness your Lovely Assistant was there today!
Nothing can help Andreas voice because it's already perfect

Yeah pretty pointless having her help review an autotune pedal.
What’s the name of the song she first sang ?? Juliana ? Or drift away ? Cause it was a banger
what a great frickin song
Can you use this live ?
I find when I tried auto tune it throws shit out of tune, never use it again.
I found that even the minimum amount of noticable effect was to much and overbearing, let alone anything higher that that...for that reason I'm returning mine.
Is there a way to connect 2 mics to this??
Y'all are funny lol this make me happy 😄
So can you set the key and just do an acapella in the key of c or something?
Thinking of getting one. Not because I'm terrible but I would like to have an extra help.
It's just fun to have around!
Can it do the tpain effect?
I think you needed to connect the guitar to it, to correct the pitch according to harmony
Can you connect this to a wireless mic system?
Have you ever tried singing Sade?I'm so emotional on the whole new world:
The funniest part is when y'all grab the mic from each other funny stuff
I’m a karaoke dj and if I normally plug my wireless mics into my board how do I connect the auto tune pedal? Do I plug my mics into it and plug the pedal into my board?

If songs are in a different key, will the autotune automatically be in that key?
How do you have it connected without a cord in the XLR?
@seandaniel23 so does it automatically switch to the key that your singing in . Example doing a live gig and two songs are in different keys will it automatically follow my key when I sing or will I have to manually change it live

Great, do you have to change keys on the device on every song should it be different keys?
How do u bypass the pedal? How do stop the constant flashing?
Can it also auto tune the instrument?
when u sang on the karaoke, did u put the instrumental on the guitar input and it found the right key??
I can't imagine a situation where I'd rather hear this over someone's natural voice regardless of how badly they sing lol.
I'd love to see it used on guitar. On something bendy.
How do you know which key it’s correcting to
Does it use guitar input for vocal correction or is it just a gimmick?
How do you change the key so that it can correct it?

I don't want to ever hear Andrea with pitch correction again. Her natural voice is gorgeous and the pitch correction took so much away from it.
I saw the pedal sneaking out the back door.
can i use for karaoke singing?
Would this work on a electric guitar?
Is it set to chromatic or can you set it to a certain key
I don’t think so.If you want to use a key,you need tc helicon voice live 3 or Tascam Antares
