I have discovered your videos a bit late. I started at #5 and would really like to get to the #1 video, if possible. I appreciate your time and effort on my behalf. Joe
Very useful guides...gone to a lot of truoble to make these and it's appreciated . Made some basic fine tips out of both 23 and 26 gauge and both bend as am using ...didnt seem to happen with the tips I got with the machine?. Any ideas?
You're probably using a nicklechrome wire with a higher chrome content, so it's softer. I'd recommend seeing if they burn ok at a slightly higher temprature. Making sure you're "legs" aren't too long. As an additional step kinking the legs back on themselves a couple of times, and giving a slight twist to the tip to add some supportive shaping. Worst case scenario look at the wire supplier. All points will bend as they degrade over time though.
I had a couple break but as long as you're using an appropriate wire type for your machine, and not hammering it too thin it's reasonably sturdy. Bearing in mind these are surface brushing tips not used for deep burns
the wire is a nickle chrome alloy scientific wire, because thats the recomendation from my machine, different machines will use different gauges and alloys, Mine recommends nickle chrome between 23 and 26

Enjoy the process but just how fragile (brittle} does the tip become. Appears that it would not take much to break.

Thanks I much appreciate the rely and your tutorials
There is a bit too much shadows which makes some of the bits too dark to see what you are doing very clearly
