The Beginner's Guide - Making Wire Point Tips - Coil Bit - #7

Hey guys in this Beginner's guide, I, the beginner make myself another coil point. A little point designed for larger works, large thick likes, blackening and patterning on areas. I don't really like this pyrography bit, but it's not too hard to make. Strangely allot of people are really daunted by this bit. But guys just relax and get stuck in, it costs a few pence of wire.

Great video, I've now got one of these machines...I gather this coil tip will save me much time when filling in large areas as I've been using the spoon tip on high heat but it takes ages? Is this correct?

depends on the effect you want :) if you check out the series on tips then coil, half circle, box tip, and shoe tip all work much better for area shading
as if you buy a reem of coil it's very cheap to make them I'd recommend making a variety of tips and experimenting

hey carl, as you can see this video is almost 5 years old now.
I've talked about this in the comments of most of the vids. It was a nervous tick, I had social anxiety, still do. The ticks calmed down now.
