I've got a Mk2 Megane RS and it drives really well. Planing on putting a LSD gearbox in it from an R26 and good set of tyres. But it still handles well and power is good. Adam took me around Weston in this car featured in your video. Makes me wanna get a MK3 RS. Renaults are so under rated for what they are. I always say, don't hate on the Meganes till you've driven one. You'll change your mind instantly. I let one of my mates drive my RS not too long ago and he loved it. Future classics for all the Renault Sport cars.
If I can ever afford a specific track car I’ll be buying one of these. I’ve owned a Clio 182 so I totally get why these are great handling cars. All Renault Sport cars are generally great to drive. I currently own a 2016 Audi RS3 but still have the itch to own a Meg RS one day and race it round Castle Combe.

Had 1 of these for 2 years and I'm a complete honda nut ( 3 dc2s, i turbod ,2 dc5s 1 supercharged and an fn2 supercharged) but I did enjoy the megane. Handling was brilliant but I generally don't like turbo cars and I hated the gearbox. But if I could have fitted a supercharged k20 I would have kept it. As fir electrical gremlins u mention they don't suffer from it due to using a Nissan wiring loom. I had zero issues in 2 years and my nephew had 1 for 5 years without issue too
@paullewis7287 oh wow, very good taste! We are massive Honda nuts too! I dream of ownjng/driving a DC2. Power figures aside, I'm guessing you preferred the supercharger over the turbo on the Hondas? @@accelerateyoutube yes I love a supercharger more than turbo due to the more linear power delivery and instant throttle response. Great vid. It really comes through how much you loved it. 2 points of note: 1 these din't really suffer from electrical problems or any major problems in general. If you buy a well looked after example it should be very reliable. Maybe the lower swivel hub ball joints are a bit notorious and gearbox bearings edpecially in the later cars at a push. 2. These DO have an electric rather than a hydraulic power steering. Does'nt feel bad though somehow. ✌️
Its all down to maintenance. When I got this, it was in a bit of a sorry state. I basically changed every bush, ball joints , mount i could, timing belt, oil change. This is my 4th one and I've never had a serious problem, only the gearbox mount bolt snapping on track but that was down to a poor repair from an old owner I found out after I took it apart and replaced the mount with a stronger and upgraded bolt.
