Maybe the local unveilings in some places will be fun, but I know the dealership out here in Hawaii won't have anything (other than a bunch of orders for the panigale, most likely...).
I was there at this party and while you have the rich people who just want to be fashionable, there were a lot of hardcore enthusiasts who just happen to be able to afford this bike, yours truly included. Stop hating just because you can't afford one, because you know you want one. Oh, I got a few videos of that night posted here, just not professionally done like this one.
I love the Panigale, I love the passion of Ducati, and they show both as beautiful in the video and the event. I just hate that the premier in America is in Hollywood with a bunch of stupid actors that are, most likely, no where near as passionate as the Ducatisti in other common places... Guys like me would pay a lot of money to be privileged enough to attend an event like that, to feel that Ducati recognizes the common man as the ones who buy their bikes, but such is our world... Go Ducati!
@dpresuto You took the words out of my mouth!!! I would have loved to have been there!! Not just for the bike, but for a chance to talk to some of the designers!! And of course..those girls on the state weren't so bad :) What do you ride? I have a Monster :)

Also, I recant (partially) my statement about just hollywood posers being at the event--there are some respectable racers there too like Tommy Kendall and of course, Nicky!! As for those that just want to see the bike, that is interesting... Ducati isn't just a motorcycle, it has its own culture (and groupies), & this event was about the culture of Ducatisti... fashion, good food, good music, and of course, the best part: the bikes! Just do us all a favor and post good videos when you get yours!

@TheSuperSmilzo96 yup,it's a big resistance to own a great motorcycle like this...everything that is imported always cost about 2.5 or 3 times more than its original price....so only the rich can afford for them,i hope the taxes will be lower in the future,i'm just 20years old,still have much time to wait,hehe....

@TheSuperSmilzo96 yup,i understand...but i have to say,only rich people can pay for that "simple" car here....the honda civic 2.0 costs about 50k$ here,and the avarage income of ppl is just ~ 1000$ a year means about 80~90usd a month,it's a little money in comparison to that 1200euro...the price is more expensive,but the income is lower...
@TheSuperSmilzo96 sadly,it's true,u may not believe...Because of many high taxes:importing taxes:90% for this motorbike,about 20% for the special consumtion taxes and 10% VAT.last time,the very first buggati veyron arrived here,it took the owner 1,7mil$ for importing it although the price to buy it from the former owner was just about 800grand$.Superbikes that are >>175cc and supercars like Lambor,Fer or Bug have to suffer from these above taxes.btw,i live in viet nam.
@TheSuperSmilzo96 well,it is just a GDP of my country.in fact,there are lots of rich people,who can get so much money everymonth and of courses,there are also many ppl who are really really poor.luckily,the food or stuffs for family using here are not expensive like yours.only the things that have to be imported are expensive.i come from a middle class family,our income everymonth is about~3k$/month and it takes us about 1~1.2k$ a month for all the daily activities.it's too enough,right?
