Great review and splendid backstories on the franchise. I had to wait to watch you take on Axel F, as I had not written my review yet. I've subscribed mate and look forward to more reviews. Cheers!
The movie hit the right nostalgic beats right from the beginning with the opening action scene featuring "The Beat is On" by Glenn Frey and the "Axel Foley's Theme" playing throughout.
I think it was wise to cast Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley . Why do I say this ? Well there was a little movie called Demolition Man . Supposedly Stallone had the lead. But Wesley Snipes out acted him, with his over the top portrayal 😊. I’ll always think of Stallone as Rambo or Rocky .
Yes. I agree. Did you know another Stallone film that he passed on and that film became a major hit? ....I am actually going to do a "Review" of the film in the next few weeks.
I always felt that John Landis was the wrong director for "Beverly Hills Cop III".I thought that "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" looked very theatrical with good use of the widesceen aspect ratio. I wish I had the ability to see it on a big screen in a theater instead of on my tablet.
Nostalgia doesn't make a film good. And unfortunately, Axel only invoked nostalgia. No story, no new songs, Axel's daughter who came from nothing and did nothing. Every Beverly Hills Cop fan should reject this Axel F movie.

Well done.
Absolutely LOVED it! So happy with it!
Thanks for the review, Church. I am now even more excited for another entry in a beloved franchise. I can’t wait to see it myself.
Don’t be, it’s utterly cack… looks like they dragged poor Taggart out of an old folks home.
@@JestersDeadUK no it’s good. You’re a hater.
I loved it
I understand we all grew up watching Eddie Murphy but this movie was above par. 6.5 out of 10.
@@jackfrost187 cool. My scale was five out of five (like the 5 star system)so were still in the same ballpark lol

This movie was, honestly, everything wrong with modern Hollywood.
